New cars for 2017-2018 will be replenished with several crossovers, the appearance of which is eagerly awaited in Russia. Information about many models is classified, but reports from presentations, press releases from manufacturers and spy photos on the Internet give some indication of future bestsellers. Most auto giants followed the proven path of restyling, that is, the introduction of additional options and the refinement of the appearance of well-known brands. At the same time, there were companies that risked investing substantial financial resources in the creation of fundamentally new machines that are still unknown to the general public.

Hyundai Tucson: cheap and cheerful

Let's start the review of new products, perhaps, with the most budgetary version of the 2017-2018 crossovers - Hyundai Tucson. Unfortunately, the designers did not think long about the elaboration of the exterior of the car, as a result of which it looks pretty much like its "big brother" Santa Fe. Distinctive features are captured only in the 6-corner radiator grille, voluminous front bumper and narrow front optics with LED sections. There were no special transformations in the interior, except that there was a little more free space, and high-quality plastic was used in the decoration (it does not creak or peel off in the heat). The cost of the updated Tucson crossover, which will go to dealerships in Russia early next year, will amount to 1.2 million rubles in the basic configuration and 1.9 million rubles in the top version.

Honda CR-V - a Japanese miracle on Russian roads

The fifth generation of the Japanese model Honda CR-V will surprise buyers with its reliability, power, and reasonable price. The exterior of the car is not very impressive, but it looks quite passable against the background of competitors. The extremely narrow radiator grille, somewhat angular front optics and the volumetric air intake make the car look aggressive, while the "blown" relief smoothes this effect, giving the CR-V solidity. Kia KX7 is a new crossover for China

South Korean company Kia plans to conquer the Chinese car market with its new KX7. This car was designed on the Sorento Prime platform with some modifications. The exterior of the model turned out to be ultra-modern, combining volumetric elements (for example, front optics) with narrow details (for example, an air intake). Massive rims, numerous chrome inserts, high-quality interior trim made the car attractive for the middle and wealthy class. The dimensions of the Kia KX7 were:

Geely Emgrand X7 is a really high quality crossover

While Kia is making another attempt to conquer the Chinese market, the Chinese auto giant Geely is going to present the world with the updated Emgrand X7 crossover. First of all, I would like to focus on the appearance, which the developers have tried to make as original as possible. The exterior of the Geely X7 really looks mesmerizing: the sweeping radiator grille, intertwined with the head LED optics, and the graceful stamping of the bumpers will impress potential owners. Interior trim with decorative elements, an informative instrument panel, as well as excellent ergonomics do not give the slightest hint that this car was released "slipshod". The minimum price will be 3.5 million rubles, and more powerful versions will cost the owner 4.2 million rubles.

Mercedes GLE - the new flagship in the world of crossovers

Recently, sales of Mercedes have dropped significantly, but the company plans to remedy the situation with a new line of GLE crossover (continuation of the legendary ML series). The engineers of the concern are still working tirelessly on the model, so it can only be judged by spy photos. The exterior of the GLE will be very aggressive, which was achieved due to the volumetric wheel arches, a huge radiator grille, and narrow front optics. While the exterior is relatively clear, the interior remains a mystery, but it makes sense to hope for a dual digital screen, a rear-view camera and a lot of free space. The range of engines is likely to combine turbocharged petrol and diesel units with a large volume, because in order to give the Mercedes GLE maneuverability, you need a solid power. The official start of sales of the series is scheduled for the fall of 2018, and the version adapted for the Russian Federation will appear no earlier than 2019.

Renault Koleos - high-quality "Frenchman" at an affordable price

The flagship of the French mechanical engineering Renault presents another novelty of crossovers of 2017-2018 - Koleos. The exterior of the car will delight you with lush body lines, original "clips" of the rear optics, a massive radiator grill. The cheapening of oil, the increased interest of the public, the dynamically developing market has led to the fact that companies that have never produced them before in their history have begun to produce SUVs.
