The organizers of this new direction are representatives of three teams from different cities of the republic, and the first competitions were held in 2018 in Minsk at one of the capital's racetracks.

Initially, the birthplace of drift trike is considered New Zealand, where the first riders began to descend from the tops of the mountains, in the so-called downhill, on children's tricycles equipped with plastic wheels, due to which traction was lost, and a skid appeared, aka drift.

An engine is installed on Belarusian trikes internal combustion, and the design is a kind of hybrid, where the back is from the go-kart, and the front is from the bike / motorcycle. On rear axle sliders are stretched over the kart wheels to reduce traction. They are also made from PVC pipes. Engine power averages 6.5 to 13 hp. Engines from karting, motoblocks, motor pumps, scooters and light motorcycles are installed, although there are absolutely crazy models with an engine from sport motorcycle volume 1000 cm3.

The rules and regulations of the competition are almost identical to the rules of car drift. Everything happens as in big motorsport: training, qualification and pair races in the TOP. All this is assessed by the judges.

This year DRIFT TRIKE BATTLE promises to become international, because teams from Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine submitted applications, stating such teams as Drift trike Brest, Drift Trike Gomel, Drift Trike Minsk, Tornado Trikes, Ride, K&S motorsport, VTK-Drift, DAV-Castoms and others.
