The base engine for the Porsche Panamera is a 2.9-liter biturbo V6 that develops 440 hp. power (which is 20 hp more powerful than the previous version) and 550 Nm of torque. This is enough to accelerate the car to “hundreds” in 4.4 seconds (4.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono package). The declared consumption is 8.1-8.2 liters per 100 km of track in the combined cycle. The "top" engine was a supercharged 4.0-liter gasoline V8 developing 550 hp. power and 770 Nm of thrust. Acceleration to "hundreds" - 3.6 or 3.8 seconds, depending on options. Consumption - 9.3-9.4 liters. Another option is the 422 hp 4.0-liter diesel V8 with 850 Nm of torque, the most powerful heavy fuel oil Porsche has ever had. The manufacturer claims that this Panamera will become the fastest production car with a diesel engine - you can accelerate to “hundreds” in 4.3 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package and in 4.5 seconds without it. Consumption will be only 6.7-6.8 liters per 100 kilometers. For the Russian market, this version is not yet offered, but the Russian buyer can choose a hybrid Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid - a V6 gasoline engine (330 hp) is paired with an electric motor (100 kW, 134 hp). But the manufacturer did not stop there either. The power plant of the new version of the S E-Hybrid, proposed in 2017, is built on the basis of a four-liter V8 engine and provides a combined power output of 680 hp.

All of these engines are equipped with an 8-speed "robot" and a first-generation Panamera all-wheel drive system with a multi-plate clutch. Mono-drive versions will appear later in the line. The equipment of the car includes such elements as a completely new electromechanical power steering, three-chamber air suspension, dynamic stabilization system with support for torque distribution and roll compensation, as well as a fully-steered chassis with steering rear wheels. If we talk about the body, now it is completely made of aluminum. With the change of generations, the Panamera has become larger: the body length is 5050 mm (+35 mm), the width is 1935 mm (+5 mm), and the height reaches 1423 mm (+5 mm). Trunk volume increased to 495 liters - an increase of 50 liters. With the rear seats folded down, this figure rises to 1304 liters. The boot capacity of the Panamera Sport Turismo is 520 liters.
