Standard immobilizer - what is it? Correct setting of the immobilizer Needle for FF3.

We register the key in immobilizer for Ford Focus 5 on their own

A standard immobilizer, in contrast to additional security systems, almost does not manifest itself in any way during the life of the car. There are owners who are sincerely surprised to learn that in their Ford Focus 2.7 is still installed immobilizer. It works correctly and accurately, a person has one software flaw - a bad memory. We forget or lose the keys, in this case we have to register in immobilizer a new key to access the vehicle and have a spare master chip. How to register a key in a Ford immobilizer Focus 2.7, we will find out in the near future.

How does an immobilizer key work? Ford Focus

In which of the keys to the car a passive tag is implanted. This means that it will not work without a request from someone who is not familiar with the immobilizer.

When the immobilizer transponder sends a request, the key sends it its ID, and the security system decides to accept it as it is also called not to accept it. Focuses of the second generation have a controller, which is combined with a transponder, the keys are equipped with stitched labels. The entire range of the farm works like this:

  • the transponder polls the tags in the reach near the car;
  • gets registered IDs from one book on another several keys;
  • if the key ID matches the ID registered in the transponder memory, the controller will unlock the engine and can start it; if not, the engine will not start even when the key tip is ideally suited to the cylinder of the ignition lock.

The immobilizer does not allow starting the car.

Since spare keys are programmed simultaneously with the master key, it is not possible to add a new key to the immobilizer memory. You can only re-register the keys together with the main one. By the way, if you need to buy a separate key (sting) and a separate chip, then they are sold in spare parts stores.

The second generation Focus immobilizer allows you to prescribe up to eight keys.

This should be enough, taking into account the absent-mindedness and one master key with a red mark, which lies in a safe place outside the car. When we register the keys, all of them should be in the car, and we will sit in the driver's seat with the doors tightly closed so as not to knock the system down with extraneous signals and intra-system conflicts.

KEY-DOP

  1. To program new key with high-frequency remote control, insert any key into the ignition lock.
  2. We turn it to the second position 4 times within six seconds.
  3. We put the key in the zero position and hear the buzzer. This indicates that the system is ready to register other keys within ten seconds.
  4. We take new key and press any button on the remote control. We hear a confirmation buzzer.
  5. We do the same operation with the rest of the programmable keys, after each pressing of the button of the new key, a buzzer should be heard. This also applies to original keys. Do not remove the key from the ignition.
  6. We turn on the ignition, set the key to the second position, without touching the other keys.

After this procedure, the immobilizer will write in the memory all the key IDs that we have used and with the help of each of them it will be possible to unlock any lock with the remote control button. Do not lose your keys and travel cloudless to all!

The third generation of the Focus is quite modern, and its equipment can satisfy the most demanding car enthusiasts. Depending on the configuration, the machine is equipped with various systems that allow you to achieve maximum comfort during operation. In addition, there are also certain functions that not all owners of this model know about. What hidden features of Ford Focus 3 can you activate yourself? Why do this? Let's figure it out.

Some features in the work of the Focus are not to everyone's liking and can be annoying. It would seem that they cannot be disabled, since there is no such button. If you know about the secret functions, then you can customize the car as much as possible to fit your needs. Of course, nothing global in the operation of a machine can be changed without special knowledge and equipment. However, there are certain features that you can activate yourself. Among them are:

  • turning off the backlight when opening the doors;
  • turning off the signal about not wearing a seat belt;
  • opening a window when the engine is not running;
  • home escort function;
  • setting up automatic locking of locks;
  • keyfob programming.

Deactivation of the seat belt signal

So let's take a closer look at the various functions and tell you how to activate them yourself.

The activation procedure for this function is standard. First, insert the key into the ignition and close all the doors. The gearbox should be placed in neutral in the case of mechanics and in parking mode if there is an automatic machine on Focus 3.

After that, you need to follow the following algorithm:

  • unfasten the seat belt from the driver's side;
  • we transfer the key to the second position, but we do not start the car;
  • wait 20 seconds, then fasten and unfasten the belt 9 times

You have 1 minute to complete these actions. In order for the programming to be successful, the belt must remain unbuckled. It is imperative to remove the belt completely, otherwise the function will not be activated.

If you did everything correctly, then on the dashboard the seat belt light should go out and light up three times. This is a confirmation that the procedure was completed successfully. After that, turn off the ignition, which is the last step.

Automatic closing of door locks

On the third generation Ford Focus, it is possible to activate a function that closes all the doors of the car when driving starts. On some cars it is available straight from the factory, while on others you will have to do it yourself. So, in order to close the doors on Focus when moving, you need to follow the following algorithms:

  • insert the key into the lock and turn on the ignition (the lights on the dashboard should light up), while the engine does not need to be started;
  • using the button on the driver's door, close and open the locks (this manipulation must be done 3 times);
  • turn off the ignition by moving the key to the extreme position;
  • perform the actions described earlier (open and close the doors 3 times);
  • turn on the ignition without starting the car (a short signal will sound);
  • we close the doors with the button, which should be accompanied by a long sound signal;
  • we translate the key to its original position.

That's all, when you start moving the doors will automatically close. In order to deactivate this function, you will need to follow the same steps.

Keyfob programming

Ford Focus 3 can be controlled from the remote control, and their number is limited. When buying a car, 2 keys are included. In addition, you can independently purchase other key fobs and program them yourself. In total, no more than 8 remotes can be used. In order to activate the keys, you must be inside the Focus.

After that, we fasten all the seat belts, close the doors and windows. This is necessary in order to avoid any unforeseen conflict situations in the operation of electrical equipment during programming. When everything is ready, we perform the following actions:

  • we insert the key into the healing lock and set it to the second position, and this manipulation must be performed 4 times in 6 seconds;
  • then we return the key to its original position and get 10 seconds to configure the key fobs (activation of the programming mode must be accompanied by a certain sound signal);
  • press the button on the remote control that we want to program, after which a confirmation signal will occur.

This is almost the end of the process. To complete the procedure, you need to either wait 10 seconds and do nothing, or turn the key in the lock and turn on the ignition. All other keyfobs are configured according to the same algorithm. Note that after that you need to program all other keys, including those that came from the factory. It will be possible to open the locks only from those remote controls that have been configured in a new way.

Remember that there can always be some kind of failure and the configuration will not work. As a result, all keys will stop working or another problem will arise. In this case, you will need to perform the process again, following all the recommendations. This is also a possible scenario.

Other functions

The features described above are the most popular among Focus owners, but the list of hidden features is not limited to this. One of the useful ones is the escort function home. Its essence lies in the fact that the car illuminates the road for the driver to the entrance or to another place when he puts the car in the parking lot.
This function is activated as follows: you need to drown out Focus 3 and continuously start blinking with a high beam. After that, the neighbor should turn on, which will burn for 40 seconds. We close the car and go along the lighted road. Note that it is not always possible to activate this function and not on all Focus modifications. In some instances, it was not implemented at all or was disabled at the software level.

Before you continue exploring our site, I recommend that you download and read our book Anti-Theft Guidewhich we have made especially for you. There you will find answers to 90% of the anti-theft questions.

Anti-theft Ford Focus 3 must be carried out at a high level. This vehicle model is very attractive to criminals. Therefore, thefts of Ford Focus 3 have become not so rare.

This means that the owner is faced with the task of protecting his property from theft as much as possible. And there are many ways to do this. To properly perform anti-theft protection, the car should be sought for from specialists. They will help you choose your security complex for a specific Ford Focus 3.

This work must be carried out individually for each machine. A mass approach is unacceptable here. Otherwise, the hijackers will quickly learn to bypass all security devices.

The standard protection of the Ford Focus 3 is rather weak, although the car has a standard immobilizer. In most cases, the owners of such a car additionally install an alarm on the car. But unknowingly, they do it at the dealership.

A car with such security means becomes an easy prey for criminals. Unfortunately, the most common brands of alarm systems are installed in the salons. At the same time, the wizards do not think about the place of installation of such a system.

The control unit is almost always placed in the space behind the glove compartment. Of course, the hijackers have been aware of this for a long time. Therefore, it is not difficult for them to overcome familiar defenses. The same applies to the stock immobilizer.

It is not difficult for cybercriminals to use a variety of electronic hacking tools. Therefore, in order for the car to be difficult for the hijackers, it is worth installing additional anti-theft devices.

Today, mechanical means of car protection are used less often. And this may be into the hands of the owner of Ford Focus 3. The criminal may not have the required tool. Or he simply won't be ready to break into a mechanical lock.

Most mechanical blockers make it much more difficult for the criminal. It takes him much longer to work. This is the main task of all anti-theft devices.

A good addition can be the armoring of car windows with film. Intruders enter the vehicle, usually through broken glass. This procedure usually takes them a few seconds. The film can increase the time it takes for a criminal. Of course, his risk increases in this case, since he often has to do this under a roaring alarm siren.

Criminals really don't like to mess with complex machines. In addition, lighter prey is quite enough for them. Very often, realizing that various means of protection are installed on the car, criminals simply leave it. This is what anti-theft devices are designed for.

They don't have to be impregnable, just the car should be better protected than others. And it really works.

In any case, only a complex of different security devices should be installed on a vehicle. Then the protection against theft Ford Focus 3 will be reliable and complete.

According to statistics, it can be argued that in the 21st century there is practically no car that does not use such an option as an immobilizer, which in translation presumably means "immobilizer". Such a "miracle of electronics" is intended to protect a car or other vehicle from theft by a simple way of disabling the systems or components of the car (most often the immobilizer produces a motor start unit). Oddly enough, but the inventors of such auxiliary devices belong to a number of original Soviet motorists.

Perhaps some recall those times (early 80s) when, in order to protect their car from theft, drivers used a secret button that was installed in the vehicle. And it is not surprising, because during these years bursts of thefts in the USSR were observed in almost every region and city. And since, apart from barn locks, people at that time had no idea about other security technologies, in response to the frightening newspaper reports about the increase in theft, the desire of motorists to protect their "iron trotters" arose on their own. So the idea arose of a block for starting the motor with a secret switch. To create this, the owners of the car made a break in one of the electrical circuits and inserted a secret button there.

The system worked according to the following scheme: when the button was pressed or turned on, the circuit was closed, which gave the engine the ability to start in normal mode.Since all the safety of the car was kept on this button, the drivers hid it in a secret place, known only to themselves. As a rule, as practice has shown, such a button was hidden either under the dashboard or under the driver's seat. Among the broken circuits on the cars of the domestic manufacturer were the starting (battery -), earth (battery - weight) and ignition (battery - coil) circuits. Soon, such security systems became outdated, and they were replaced by new, innovative solutions called immobilizers, which will be discussed in this article. Although, until now, none of the "technological innovations" in the field of car security is complete without the aforementioned secret button. So, let's figure out what a "regular immobilizer" is and "what it is eaten with."

1. What does a regular immobilizer consist of?

By definition, immobilizer (popularly referred to as immo) is a type of anti-theft system that can prevent illegal engine start with a homemade key or even without a key for theft. In fact, an immobilizer is a kind of blocking device that can prevent the engine from starting and functioning during a theft. Blocking actions are transferred either to the fuel pump, or the ignition, or the computer, and it is also possible to block the starter. Usually built into the car key.

In its turn, immobilizers are usually divided into two large groups - standard and additional.We are interested in standard immobilizers, so we will talk about them further. Such an anti-theft system is installed in the process of assembling a car, with which it seems to be "akin". Thanks to special software, it is able to restrict all possible access to the vehicle engine control unit. An interesting fact is that a system of this kind in some European countries has received the status of a mandatory installation since 1998. Among the standard immobilizers, wireless (transponder) immobilizers are especially popular among car manufacturers and buyers. The construction of such "assistants" consists of an ignition key chip, an antenna and a control unit. And now about each component in more detail.

The ignition key chip, unlike other elements, is wireless and is a unique RFID tag RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). Typically, such a mark is embedded in the head of the physical ignition key. Label and has another name - transponder(literally from English - radio responder). It is in this name that the basic principle of the tag's operation lies, namely, it is activated by a radio signal and is powered by energy from this signal.

What about the antenna? It, in turn, guarantees the radio exchange of the chip key with the immobilizer control unit. By the way, immobilizer manufacturers use several types of antennas. The most common and popular is the ring antenna, which wraps around the ignition switch itself. Today's remote-action immobilizers boast the use of multiple antennas in their design.

The task of the immobilizer electronic control unit is to generate signals for the transponder, receive signals from the antenna, and transform the signals into guiding actions on the engine control unit. For the purpose of better safety, modern and modernized immobilizers, as a rule, do not have an individual control unit in their location, but have several blocks in which all the functions of the device for blocking are implemented. Such a move can significantly increase the security of the system. Through the interface (bus), the immobilizer unit interacts with the engine control unit.

2. The principle of operation of a standard immobilizer

The immobilizer is very easy to use. It is very important that turning the immobilizer on and off is available exclusively to the vehicle owner. Basically, in order not to declassify the device, in practice, an electronic code key is used. But there are also models with a manual set of code, although they are extremely rare. So, waiting for the vehicle to be operational, the driver inserts the code key into a special slot and thereby guarantees that the code is read by the immobilizer technology and the locking action is turned off. He can also place an electronic "tag" (chip) in the range of the antenna of the immobilizer system. If you still use a system with a mechanical dialing, then in order to turn off the locking device you need to enter the code set by the owner of the car.

Now let's talk a little about passwords. With their help, the immobilizer control algorithm is carried out. There are several types of passwords in the cipher system. Among them: identification password (ID code), variable password (rolling code) and encrypted password (crypto code). The simplest basic models of standard immobilizers have a label that carries an individual number, namely the aforementioned identification password. In this case, the car is blocked according to the following principle: when the ignition is turned on, the already familiar immobilizer control unit activates the transponder, which, in turn, generates a signal under this influence, which is supplied in the form of an identification code.

Then, the antenna picks up the password in the ignition lock and transfers it to the immobilizer control unit. Finally, the processor of the control unit comes into play, which compares the received password with the previously registered one. The engine starts only if both passwords are identical to each other. Otherwise, the immobilizer control unit simply prohibits the start of the car engine.

Today, the latest generation of standard immobilizers is also known, namely systems with a variable password. They work according to the following scheme: from the moment the ignition is turned on, activating actions take place on the transponder from the side of the control unit, as a result of which, the first sends the password that is in the memory. The identification code of the tag is also added to it.

Then the code is captured by the antenna and transmitted to the immobilizer control unit. Then everything happens according to the standard system: the passwords are compared and if they are identical to each other, then the engine starts. But that's not all! After the transponder has transmitted the password, a new password is already generated in the immobilizer control unit, which, in turn, is transmitted back to the transponder. The old password stored in the transponder memory is changed with the updated one and, thus, the transponder is preparing for the next engine start. Password guessing is implemented according to the principle of a pseudo-random sequence, which implies an arbitrary choice of passwords from a number of possible ones.

But the most advanced and reliable of all anti-theft systems is the immobilizer control system that uses password encryption. A distinctive feature of such a system is a unique transponder that has a built-in encryption function. It is called "crypto-transponder". Such a system works as follows: at the moment of ignition, the immobilizer control unit generates a message for the transponder (the message can be some kind of pseudo-random word). This message, or word, is processed using an encryption key in the transponder's memory. As a result of this transformation, we receive a so-called digital signature, which, in turn, is sent by a transponder.

Thus, a "floating effect" is created, since, in accordance with the established algorithm, the outgoing message of the transponder looks different every time. Based on this principle, the system was named a "floating" code immobilizer. The immobilizer control unit also works along with the transponder. He performs similar transformations and receives an exemplary digital signature. Then, the exemplary digital signature is compared with the message received from the transponder. As a rule, the "encryption" keys of the transponder and the control unit are compared without their actual presentation (appearing on the air). This nuance significantly increases the security of the system.

This encryption of passwords makes it possible to use the transponder at a certain distance, for example, when opening the car doors. Since the transponder provides itself with long-term operability using its own power source, it is possible to use the key within a radius of several tens of meters.

And today, progress does not stand still and researchers have already managed to develop the latest technology for remote control of the immobilizer, which is called intelligent access systems and start without a key. It is unique in that it reacts to the driver's movement and opens when the owner of the car approaches. Using a special technology, the car is started by lightly pressing a button on the instrument panel. Interestingly, even today the Keyless system can be equipped with a budget car, of course, for an additional fee.

As we already know, the system of intelligent access and keyless start is the next step in the development of immobilizer control from a distance. In such a system, the car is able to unlock the locks when the owner approaches and start by simply pressing the button located on the instrument panel. Currently the system Keyless even budget cars are equipped, but only as an option.

Many can confirm that drivers often need to turn off the standard immobilizer for the engine factory. The reason for this need may be, for example, the loss of a key. So how do you do it? The device can be disabled in the vehicle ECU. Most likely, you will need to cut off the wire that runs from the immobilizer directly to the control unit, or physically disconnect it and thus prohibit the immobilizer polling.

you can also use the example of disabling the security system using a special emulator installed in the computer. He will make some adjustments to the management of electrical circuits. But you need to be very careful and careful, because not all cars can be accurately disconnected from the immobilizer. In many cases, an independent attempt to disable the protection will lead to disruption of many systems of the vehicle. Therefore, you need to seek help from specialists.

3. How to distinguish a regular immobilizer from others?

Many people wonder what is the difference between a regular immobilizer and other types of electronic anti-theft devices. Today, most modern cars are equipped with such a protection system even in production. A distinctive feature of each standard immobilizer is the implementation of blocking without the help of a relay. In the absence of an approval signal, the controller will not start and maintain the engine on its own, because the device itself has a physical and software connection with the engine injection controller. Simply put, the engine management system itself does the blocking not physically, but programmatically.

In comparison with a standard immobilizer, you can take an additional, non-standard immobilizer. The principle of operation of the latter is to break the connection of the electrical circuits of road transport in the most important places, for example, the electrical circuits of the starter, ignition, or engine. In fact, an additional (non-standard) immobilizer is distinguished by the presence of an electromagnetic relay, thanks to which electric circuits are broken when an intruder into a car, an auxiliary antenna and an additional tag or chip.

The advantage of such a device, in contrast to the standard one, is the fact that thanks to this technology, intruders will not be able to start and move the car, even being already inside the vehicle. And if you decide to use additional devices, such as, for example, solenoid valves, then you can count on blocking the performance of non-electrical systems.

4. Ways to strengthen the standard immobilizer

As already mentioned, a feature of the standard immobolizer is that it is equipped with a contact blocking relay, which is controlled using standard wiring. Such control in itself is very unreliable and can lead to the fact that the anti-theft program is still “done”. The problem is that standard immobolizers are poorly thought out, because the blocking of the main circuits of the car occurs only 10-15 seconds after the ignition is turned off. This time is enough for a car thief who is serious about stealing your car.

More expensive devices can boast more reliability. These include systems for recognizing the owner of the vehicle, who got behind the wheel, by a signal sent from the key fob. And only after the system has verified all the data, the engine is given the go-ahead to start. If the system detects that someone else is behind the wheel, it will instantly turn on the siren and quickly block all vital systems.

In addition, modern innovative immobilizers are equipped with a unique anti-robbery algorithm that can prevent a vehicle from being stolen when stopping at a traffic light (today, there are many examples of such a sudden theft). Well, what can I say, immobilizers, which will be more expensive, have great functionality, they block a significant number of circuits and, most importantly, such systems are much more difficult to hack than regular immobilizers.

But what if you are the owner of a regular immobilizer and cannot change it to another, more expensive one? All you can do is consider additional protection. By its nature, the immobilizer is a reliable protector of the car, but many, most likely already experienced hijackers, have learned how to break into the already complex systems of this technology. Therefore, you need to be fully armed. Here are some examples of how you can "beat" the hijackers and secure your vehicle. First of all, you can install a metal cover on the device controller. It will close the path to the connector and the control unit for the attacker. Secondly, it is possible to connect an auxiliary interlock with action from an external device to the diagnostic socket (on the bus circuit). Thirdly, you should block in the gap of the standard readout antenna.

The immobilizer is a faithful protector of the car. But many hijackers have learned to "work" with it and hack it, so it will not be superfluous to think about additional protection. For example, the device controller can be equipped with a metal casing that can prevent an attacker from accessing the connector and control unit. It is advisable to connect an additional interlock with action from a third-party device to the diagnostic connector (on the bus circuit). In addition, it will not be superfluous to provide for the installation of a blocking in the gap of the standard readout antenna.

Another protection option is to equip the hood with an additional lock. What is the need? As a rule, the wireless relay is installed in the engine compartment. During a car theft fraud, intruders who cannot get to the ECU will definitely use the opportunity to gain access to the blocking relay. Imagine what a surprise they will have an additional lock.

To our great regret, the hijackers know very well about the methods of standard installation of the immobilizer. Therefore, they do not foresee any difficulties in breaking the device. Hacking a standard immobilizer takes 1-2 minutes. The hijackers work according to the standard scheme. For starters, they are doing a complete replacement of the "Engine Controller". Then, they reprogram the system and use the diagnostic connector to do this. After they gain access to the system, they copy the chip or key itself. Finally, using a code grabber, they copy the chip code built into the ignition key. Voila! Access to your car is free!

Based on the foregoing, it should be understood that a standard immobilizer is not enough to protect a car from car thieves. Most likely, owners of a regular immobilizer need to seriously think about buying an additional protective device. Moreover, it should be installed exclusively by specialists who are engaged in precisely protecting against theft. The advantages of the additional device are obvious.

An additional immobilizer provides the ability to connect different sensors that will rush to trigger in case of any unauthorized manipulation of the car. Thanks to the built-in GSM module, the car owner will be able to receive calls to his mobile phone, where the autoinformer will make a notification about what is happening with the car.

Also, there are immobilizers that provide an alarm function. Such devices are called alarms and besides the fact that they can immobilize the car, "assistants" are able to guard the perimeter around the car. If you decide to install an alarm on a car, then you completely no longer need to install an alarm. As already known, the immobilizer is controlled by a tag. It can be of two types: contact and non-contact. If we talk about a contact tag, then in order to allow the start and operation of the motor, you will need to apply it to the reader every time, and speaking of contactless, then it is enough to simply carry it constantly in your pocket.

Most likely, the second option is preferable, since such an immobilizer has much more functionality. In this case, the possibility of using the anti-hijacking function is provided. In the event of a robbery and being thrown out of the driver's compartment, the car will not go far, but having lost the mark from sight, it will stop and block the engine.

That is, one conclusion can be drawn: you should not rely on a standard immobilizer as protection against theft. Installing an additional immobilizer as part of an anti-theft complex can cost money, but most likely it will be the right decision.

The StarLine Expert security system was developed by order of the Federal Service Ugona.net and represents a fundamentally new approach to creating an anti-theft solution for your car. Today the company Ugona.net is involved in the development, production and quality control of manufactured products. This made it possible to extend the warranty period of the device to 5 years.

The StarLine Expert system has a number of advantages, firstly, the level of anti-theft security is significantly increased, because not the analog blocking located in the alarm unit is used, but the digital and point blocking of the R4 relay motor, which is controlled by radio channel at a protected frequency of 2.4 GHz. The relay is located in the most secret place, and is woven into the standard wiring harness, so it can take a long time to deactivate it.

The device GPS beacon Ugona.no, is constantly in "sleep" mode and "wakes up" only at a specified time interval, to report on, as a bearing, its location, and then falls asleep again. This mode of operation makes it impossible to detect this device by special equipment - a field analyzer or analogs.

On Ford Focus III, 2016, the following works were performed: installation of a car alarm, installation of an immobilizer, installation of a security system, installation of a hood lock, installation of a gps beacon

In this article, auto electrician Alexey Molotov answers the question "Where is the Ford Focus 3 immobilizer located?"

ATTENTION A LOT OF LETTERS!

Hello!
Thank God I'm fine, but my friend had a problem, I would even say trouble.
Last night he calls me and asks me to drag his Ford Focus 3 (2014) to the house, they say the error popped up and won't start, I come and see.
We have an error on the information board “Immobilizer is on. See the instructions, ”began digging the Internet, all that I found was the same error that occurs in people at low temperatures, in winter, but we have that summer, in the cabin it warms up to 45-50 degrees in the parking lot. The first thought, the key is lost, because the battery is new, then the battery option was discarded. As luck would have it, the instrument was at home, and this is to go to the opposite end of the city, the steering cover cannot be removed, and the immo cannot be reached. The second car key is in his house, a house in Ryazan, which is 75 km from the city + 15 around the city, I persuade him to go after him, bring him and ... (there was a nervous smoke break and the hope that the key would help) ... and hell! It’s almost midnight, the car doesn’t close, we leave it in the office parking lot, under guard, and drive home.
At lunchtime today I took off the immo ring, rang, whole. At the end of the working day, they advised us the best auto electrician, gave us his phone number, we call, explain the situation, that the immo has lost the key, what should I do? He immediately says that it is necessary to re-program, this is not for him, for another, he is there, ask, everyone knows him. Ambush, time is almost 7 pm, he is no longer at work. Then I remember that they gave me a business card, they are engaged in the manufacture and firmware of chips for the immobilizer, we call. The girl on the other end of the wire explained that of course they can go out and take a decent amount of money from us, but first we need to try to charge the battery, they say the immo antenna is not enough, so it doesn’t work, which usually always helps. We thanked her and drove home, it's time to have supper, after which I grab the battery from my neighbor (I just took it off the charge, he always has a spare one) and fly back to Ford, in my heart the last hope for the battery, that he will help. We put, we cross, the key in the lock, we turn it and ... hell there!
While I was driving home, I took a multimeter, checked ALL the fuses in three blocks, all intact, the power is coming.

I missed the main problem, while we were dragging the car to the office parking lot, the owner of the car was 100% sure that his emergency gang was working, but I saw in the mirror that he was driving without any lights. We find out that all the devices that are controlled by the brains do not work: Dimensions, light (both), light in the cabin and glove compartment, emergency lights, heating, unlocking the trunk and all doors, also locking, signal, and some other functions. At the same time, everything is displayed on the panel that they turned on the light, the turn signal, the emergency gang (that's why he was sure, because the panel blinks).
In general, now, almost until 11 o'clock, we were digging with it and leaving noticed that when the doors were closed, the panel did not go out, for the sake of interest I press the lock on the keychain and voila, it went out! Those. the brain received information from the key that the car was blocked. Your mother, he sees the key, the key is not lost by the immobilizer! On this our brain exploded even more!
I draw a conclusion: the ECU receives information, but does not control anything, there is information input, but no output!

I apologize for the many letters, I would like to describe in more detail so that unnecessary questions addressed to me disappear.
I would be very grateful for the repost of this entry, suddenly among your subscribers there is a person who can push you on the right path.
Thank you for attention!

Exactly a month later, the GEM module was changed, this is the block that stands at the feet of the passenger. The problem was in him, a used one was found on parsing in Moscow for 2800 rubles (a new one costs 23 thousand). The guys in the service tied (asked) him.
I will not delete the topic, suddenly someone will come in handy!

No signs of trouble. I open the car as usual, turn the key and silence! There is an inscription on the tidy: "Immobilizer is on, see instructions!" Shock, bewilderment, panic ... We must somehow go ... I called Alexey RedPepper88 with a request to help. Alexey thank you for sending the solution to the problem by phone.

I assumed that this is one of three possible reasons:
1. Abnormal signaling with auto start (oh, and told me not to mess with this shit).
2. Wiring the antenna of the standard immobilizer.
3. Antenna of the standard immobilizer.
The car is brick, to work on the subway, anger kapets ...
Forscan gave one single error B10D7: 87-2F.

I decided everything radically. I called Anton AntoshichCBR and sent my father-in-law for the antenna and wiring, thanks that he had everything in stock. Thank you Anton for helping out! I looked at the signaling connection diagrams on the Internet and realized that when the blocking is massively installed, the signaling is normally closed, which means you can just turn off the signaling power. The car is needed all the time, so I didn't find out the specific reason, I decided to do everything at the same time.
I changed the immobilizer antenna ring, threw temporary wires into the BCM unit, since Anton cut off the long ends, took out the signaling fuse. The key is not start and voila, the car started.
At the dacha, I threw the wires under the torpedo, returned the fuse to the signaling, everything worked. The root cause is not clear to me, but there is still a suspicion of the signaling. Let's watch what happens next ...
I have never encountered such a thing before, but before that shit-signaling never installed non-standard ones.
Thank you all who have read to the end, and as always, good luck on the road!
