Activities on making changes to the design of vehicles (TS) are regulated by the following main regulatory documents:

• 1. Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of 07.12.2000 No. 1240 "On the approval of normative legal acts regulating the activities of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on technical supervision"
• 2. Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of November 24, 2008 No. 1001 "On the procedure for registering vehicles."

Anyone wishing to register changes to the vehicle design must perform the following actions:

1. 1) Fill in the Application for changes in the design of the established form (can be obtained from the traffic police), contact the head of the registration department of the traffic police with it. A decision is made on this application.

   When making a decision, the registration department of the traffic police, depending on the changes made to the design of the vehicle, determines the procedure and conditions for issuing and issuing a Certificate of compliance of a vehicle with safety requirements, as well as the need to obtain a Conclusion on the possibility and procedure for making changes to the design of a vehicle (hereinafter Conclusion ) or determines the absence of such a need.

6. 6) After the above actions, the owner of the vehicle submits to the registration department of the traffic police:
   - identity document;
   - a document confirming the right to own, use and (or) dispose of the vehicle;

   - Application and decision on it (point 1);
   - Conclusion on the possibility and procedure for making changes to the vehicle design;
   - Diagnostic card;
