All owner reviews about Hyundai Santa Fe III. Hyundai Santa Fe Prime: restyled version of the crossover Updated Hyundai Santa Fe Prime

A used third-generation Hyundai Santa Fe has almost no problems, but those that do have can be very upsetting to the owner. The secret to trouble-free operation is timely maintenance

In 2002 on the way to the Moscow Motor Show, I got into a conversation with a man who had specially arrived for a Hyundai Santa Fe from Ufa. Frankly, I was surprised by his choice. To buy a crossover for the Urals when the market is full of real SUVs, when the LR Defender still costs USD 29,000, and the Niva costs 4,000? Who needs a Hyundai Santa Fe for the price of a Mitsubishi Pajero? The answer was overwhelmingly simple: it is reliable, you need it for every day, but we still have such off-road that not every ZIL with the Ural has time to return home before dark ... diesel, forcing a different angle to look at the multiplying ranks of crossovers. Since that time, three generations of Santa Fe have already changed (the current one has been produced since 2012). Another change will take place this year, and Santa Fe New sales will begin in spring 2018. Has its former quality been preserved? This is what we will talk about, taking for example the last, third generation of the crossover.

FEED WELL

In the Russian market, Hyundai Santa Fe was sold with two engines: a 2.4-liter gasoline engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Both motors are very reliable and their popularity is about the same, but highly dependent on the region. In both capitals and the western part of the country, an economical and high-torque diesel is preferred, but the further north and east, the more popular is a comfortable and "warm" gasoline engine. The diesel power is 197 hp, its index is D4HP, it is a chain, sixteen-valve, equipped with a turbine and a direct fuel injection system.

Santa Fe 3 is a new generation Hyundai: comfortable, elegant and expensive

The diesel has two main problems, and both are related to the fuel delivery system. By about 150-200 thousand mileage, parts of a high-pressure multi-piston pump begin to wear out. Its peculiarity is that the rotating parts are made of a harder alloy than the body, and over time, the stationary parts begin to wear out intensively. It is difficult to say with certainty what it depends on ... Whether the ash content of low-quality fuel is increased, whether or not the additives are incorrect, but the fact remains: about every fifth car arriving at the service with a “check engine” on, gets to replace the injection pump. This pleasure is expensive - together with the work, the malfunction will cost at least 50,000 rubles, and even the nozzles suffer, since the chips clog them too. Moreover, it makes no sense to change the plunger pair, it's not only about it. Injectors are the next problem in cost, but not in frequency of occurrence. They are piezoelectric, very fast and accurate, but cannot tolerate dirty fuels. Even if everything is in order with the high pressure fuel pump, you can get to the replacement of nozzles using the services of unscrupulous refuelers. Each costs about 30,000 for OEMs and about 15,000 for “packers”. Such injectors cannot be repaired. The timing drive is very reliable and on most diesel cars sold on the secondary market, it is only coming to the moment of replacement. And the increased noise indicates elementary mechanical wear of the dampers and rollers. The kit is inexpensive, you can find it for 12,000 rubles. Rarely, but it happens that it punches the head gasket. The cost of repairs is extremely individual, but you should not count on less than 30,000 rubles. If you have to change the head, 130,000 rubles will be asked for the original assembly. The turbine regularly nurses its service life of 250,000 km only for those owners who were in no hurry to turn off the engine after high revs and did not press the pedal to the floor when the engine was cold. If you save on oil, then you should prepare at least 25,000 rubles for a remanufactured turbocharger. More often the rod turns sour, turning the blades of the turbine stator. The sign is a branch pipe flying off during gas re-gasing. They say that in eight cases out of ten, the usual "Vedashka" helps ...

There are five- and seven-seat versions of the crossover. Third row for teens

The gasoline engine almost does not cause problems to the owner, quietly nursing 300-350 thousand without serious intervention, and with regular maintenance and good oil, nothing prevents it from working further. It pulls well from the bottom, despite the sixteen-valve technology. This engine was used in many Hyundai and KIA vehicles, including the main platform donor, the Sonata sedan. Ignition coil failures can create some headaches. It is clear that this happens at the most inopportune moment and more often with parts bought anywhere. The original ones walk for a long time, but do not like water ingress, so puddles must be passed carefully. Fortunately, they are relatively inexpensive - 800–1000 rubles apiece. The rest of the troubles are standard for any modern engine: injectors are afraid of dirt and water in the fuel, the throttle assembly is afraid of slag from the ventilation system, attachments are afraid of stretched belts, and the fuel tank is afraid of the transfer pump failure. In a word, a good, reliable motor.

FOLLOW THE ROAD

The state of the chassis and suspension of any crossover is three-quarters dependent on driving style and a quarter on the quality of service and design features. A common problem in all modern cars on our roads - the rapid wear of bushings and stabilizer struts - is typical for Santa Fe. The cost of parts and their replacement is low. The front suspension is MacPherson strut, knocking of support bearings for 3,000 rubles and ball bearings may appear in it, which can be pressed out in specialized services and changed separately from the levers for six thousand. The rubber-metal lever blocks are very massive (especially the front ones), and they go for a long time. A characteristic problem of the second generation Santa Fe - the knocking steering rack and the frequent failure of the right tip in the third generation were fixed, and if a problem appeared, then the boot is torn or there is a leakage of the power steering pump fluid. Both of these are easy to avoid if you do not miss scheduled maintenance. The most costly problem of the front suspension is the premature wear of the wheel bearing, which changes with the hub assembly, by the way, just like the rear, but this happens very rarely there. The hub is expensive, you need to change two at once, and for replacement you will have to disassemble the entire suspension. As a result, your budget will lose twenty thousand. And the reason may be careless driving on bad roads, too deep puddles and neglect of washing after mud routes.

In the rear suspension, the stabilizers are also the first to "die" at 600 rubles, then the shock absorbers at 3,500 and, most importantly, the bolts that regulate the camber and which are attached to the lower levers are tightly sour. On cars with an automatic transmission, and there are most of them, the parking brake corrodes and loses its mobility, which works separately from the main brake system. It should certainly be used, not limited to the "Parking" mode. Both suspensions are mounted on a subframe, which increases the strength of these components and reduces noise and vibration transmitted to the body from the road surface.

Specification characteristic of Hyundai Santa Fe is due to the use of fully independent suspension and all-wheel drive transmission without a reduction row. Up front, the Santa Fe has McPherson independent suspension with anti-roll bars and gas shock absorbers. Behind - multi-link, independent suspension with HPD shock absorbers (variable stiffness), coil spring and anti-roll bar. The rear suspension is able to maintain a constant ride height regardless of the crossover load.

In the updated third Santa Fe, the aerodynamic drag of the body is cx \u003d 0.34, which is the best indicator in the class. A feature of the South Korean crossover is that all four-wheel drive is always on in the Hyundai Santa Fe. The center differential is asymmetrical, dividing the torque between the rear and front wheels in a ratio of 60/40. The clutch in the transfer case controls the differential and has the ability to distribute the torque between the wheel axles in equal proportions 50/50. The technical characteristics inherent in Hyundai Santa Fe provide the function of forced disengagement of the multi-plate clutch with a special button located to the left of the steering wheel.

The wheelbase of the third generation Hyundai Santa Fe remains the same as its predecessor - 2700 mm (2800 in the 7-seater body version). Crossover width 1880 mm. The length of the 5-seater version is 4689 mm, the 7-seater version is 4905 mm. Height 1679 mm (1690 mm in 7-seat version). The ground clearance is 185 mm. The luggage compartment volume has increased to 585 liters, and in the seven-seater version - to 693 liters.

The basic engine in the domestic market for Hyundai Santa Fe is a gasoline, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, with a working volume of 2.4 liters (2359 cm3), with a capacity of 175 hp. at 6000 rpm, maximum torque 227 Nm. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, the Hyundai Santa Fe accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 11.4 seconds, gaining a top speed of 190 km / h. Average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 8.9 liters, 7.3 liters on the highway, 11.7 liters in the city per 100 kilometers. The gasoline engine can be combined with both a manual and an automatic transmission.

Hyundai Santa Fe's adaptive 6-speed automatic transmission offers manual shifting. The braking system of the SUV is represented by disc brakes with ABS, a stabilization system and a brake force distribution mechanism. Electric power steering Hyundai Flex Steer and three operating modes (Comfort, Normal, Sport).

The second diesel engine in the Hyundai Santa Fe line of power units. Installed only in conjunction with an automatic transmission. Volume 2.2 liters (2199 cm3), power 197 hp maximum torque 436 Nm. From zero to hundreds of km / h, the Hyundai Santa Fe diesel accelerates in 10.1 seconds. The maximum speed is 190 km / h. Diesel fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 6.8 liters in the combined cycle, 8.9 liters in the urban cycle, 5.5 liters on the highway.

Hyundai Grand Santa Fe 3.3 MPi

Year of issue: 2014

Engine:3.3 (249 hp) Checkpoint: A6

The Hyundai Grand Santa Fe is exactly the car that suits my family the best. It is slightly larger in size than the Toyota Highlander, but slightly smaller than, for example, the Nissan Pathfinder. At the same time, in my opinion, the “grand” version of “Santa” looks more harmonious and impressive than the standard one. It is very pleasing that the Koreans have “strangled” the engine to a comfortable 249 “horses” especially for our realities. It's still not very pleasant to pay a lot of money for horsepower, whose potential can be tested several times a year.

Outwardly, the car was 100% successful, very beautiful and even brutal. It's good that the days of native Korean design are a thing of the past. The salon is exactly the same as that of the usual "Santa". Only larger and sharpened for seven seats (I'll talk about the "gallery" a little later). The "insides" of the crossover delight with an abundance of soft plastic, good leather and build quality. The front seats are electrically adjustable with a wide range of settings. My height is less than 80 meters, so I very quickly found the most comfortable driving position.

The middle row seats are heated and can be adjusted longitudinally as well as the backrest tilt. There is a lot of space, even somehow too much. After the previous car, it was unusual.

On the "gallery" there are two chairs, more precisely, two stools. It will hardly be convenient for anyone to ride them. In general, their presence can be characterized as follows - for "tick". They fold down flush with the boot floor. Actually, in this form they stay with me.

The rear view mirrors are amazing. Thanks to them, the visibility is excellent. The only negative is the A-pillars are too wide. But such a "jamb" is now almost on all cars. Resigned and used to. By the way, the crossover has a very decent dynamics (especially for its size and weight). Whether in the city or on the highway (even with maximum load), overtaking is easy and effortless. The main thing is just not to get carried away and not to forget that you are driving a five-meter "barn" and not a sports car.

Gas mileage is just a song. The on-board computer shows 10 liters when driving at a speed of 100-120 km / h. At first I thought I was lying, so I decided to check it using the “old-fashioned” method - in the tank. It turned out that the technique is fair to me. In the combined cycle, about 14 liters of 92nd gasoline are consumed per “hundred”. So, I'm delighted.

Level manageability. Of course, this is not a passenger car, so you need to enter the corners wisely. Passage is average, like most modern crossovers. Still, all of them (even Toyota's "Highlander") are intended for storming urban reliefs, not rural ones. I also liked the soundproofing. To be honest, I did not expect that the Koreans would be able to make a high-quality Shumka.

The 3rd generation of the Korean crossover Hyundai Santa Fe combines quality, high technology and at the same time a fairly reasonable price.

Outwardly, there is a strong resemblance to another brainchild of the company, namely the ix35. We can say that Santa Fe 3 is a modernized version of the ix35.

Exterior and interior overview.

The exterior of the body is made in a rather interesting manner. Its main feature is the subtle fusion of aggressive elements with smoother and more elegant ones. Thanks to this, the circle of potential buyers is practically unlimited. The car is suitable for both adults and wealthy men and women, as well as for the younger or vice versa the older generation. In its price category, among the J class cars, it is one of the most versatile. It can be safely called a win-win option, because in addition to the stylish exterior, it carries a high-tech interior and good performance indicators.

Looking more closely at the exterior, the first thing you notice is the well-cut headlights and the high-beam headlights that complement them, located below. Particularly noteworthy is the stylish radiator grille, presented in the form of 3 chrome-plated transverse plates with an interesting relief and a 6-angle geometry that emphasizes the refinement of the lines.

The side surface is made using smooth lines and transitions, without the participation of any aggressive elements. The wheel arches have a plastic edging, which in turn finds its continuation in the form of door sills and bumpers.

The rear part of the body is a kind of visiting card of all Hyundai cars. Even not a large Solaris, which, by the way, is not a crossover, has a clear similarity in the geometry of the headlights.

The interior is maximally adjusted to the "norms" of premium cars. Of course, the interior is made exclusively of expensive types of plastic, with the use of aluminum and genuine leather (in more expensive trim levels). Even if you wish, it is almost impossible to find a finishing area made with errors: no backlash, crooked seams and problems with inconsistencies in the front panel, which, by the way, is made in a rather interesting manner. Only the steering wheel trim deserves a comment, firstly it is thin, and secondly, the on-board computer control buttons (at the base of the lower spoke) are not very well located. The front seats are equipped with good lateral support and not too "flexible" adjustment system.

The dashboard is traditionally represented by two large dials and a small information screen. The central panel is occupied by the multimedia complex system, as well as control buttons for some options. By the way, it is decorated in a rather daring manner, with an abundance of broken lines.

Specifications.

The dimensions of the car are 4.69 m in length, 1.88 m in width and 1.67 m in height. The wheelbase is 2.7 m and the ground clearance is raised to 0.185 m. The luggage compartment is 585 liters in standard condition and 1680 liters with the rear seats folded. The declared total weight of the vehicle in running order is 1 t 737 kg.

The car has become much more comfortable in motion. When driving on roads with good coverage, the steering quality has improved markedly. In addition, maneuverability has significantly improved, now it has become a little easier to take tight turns. The ground clearance was lowered, for comparison, the 2nd generation "Santa Fe" towered over the road by 0.203 m.

However, getting on uneven sections of the road, as well as on roads with unpaved or rocky surfaces, you can forget about comfort to a greater extent. Controllability is significantly reduced and noise insulation begins to fail, in addition, there is a noticeable shaking. Perhaps this is an eternal problem for all cars of this class.

There are 3 steering options: comfort, sport, normal. For Russia, there are 2 options for power plants, gasoline and diesel.

2.2 liter diesel engine with 197 hp The maximum torque is 436 Nm, which is achieved at 1800-2500 rpm. Diesel fuel consumption is 8.9 liters in the city, 5.5 on the highway and 6.8 when driving in a combined cycle. The speedometer needle overcomes the mark from 0 to 100 in 10.1 seconds, and the speed limit is 190 km / h. A 6-speed automatic is used as a gearbox.

Another option is the 2.4-liter Theta II gasoline engine. Its power ratings are lower than that of the diesel - 175 hp. The maximum speed has remained at around 190 km / h, but the acceleration dynamics have noticeably deteriorated, and now, from 0 to 100, already in 11.6 seconds in conjunction with an automatic transmission and 11.4 seconds with a manual one. The torque is 227 Nm at 3750 rpm. Consumption, in turn, is 12.3 liters in the city, 6.9 liters on the highway and 8.9 in mixed mode. Gasoline with an octane rating of at least 95 is suitable as fuel.

The braking system includes ventilated disc brakes at the front and non-ventilated at the rear, as well as a special electrically operated parking brake. Suspension is represented by Mcpherson struts at the front and multi-link struts at the rear.

One of the key advantages of the 3rd generation Hyundai Santa Fe, of course, is a high level of security. According to tests carried out by the independent Euro NCAP committee, this model provides almost 100% passenger safety, while the pedestrian safety indicator in a collision is approximately 70%. In the end, the car scored 5 stars (out of 5) and was awarded the title of the safest crossover.

Available configurations and prices in Russia.

The price of a diesel variation of the power plant starts at 1 million 874 thousand rubles, this is the basic version of comfort. Manufacturers provide a choice of 2 more configurations, namely: dynamic, which costs 2 million 10 thousand rubles, and dynamic + high-tech, for 2 million 65 thousand rubles. The following options are supplied in the database:

  • climate control;
  • aBS and EBD systems;
  • on-board computer;
  • cruise control;
  • standard audio system;
  • rain and light sensors;
  • some leather items.

In turn, the dynamic version is supplemented by a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, xenon headlights and some more not too significant options.

And finally, high-tech provides for the presence of electrically adjustable seats, navigation system, Bluetooth and Hi-Fi audio system.

The petrol version in the basic configuration is equipped with the same chips as the diesel one, but the price is slightly reduced - 1 million 674 thousand (manual gearbox) and 1 million 734 thousand (automatic). The top and near-top versions will cost the buyer 1 million 994 thousand and 1 million 870 thousand, respectively.

Comparing the top-end configurations of Hyundai Santa Fe of the 2015 model year with diesel and gasoline, it is worth noting that the optional equipment of the second is still richer, namely, added:

  • engine start system with a button;
  • voice control;
  • ventilation of the front seats;
  • 18-inch wheels.

Overall, the car is built in the traditional Hyundai fashion and definitely deserves attention.

Hyundai Santa Fe III car is not sold in showrooms of authorized Hyundai dealers.

Hyundai Santa Fe III Owner Reviews

2012 Hyundai Santa Fe III

The choice fell on the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe III model year, we decided to take the basic configuration, always white (well, I like white and that's it). I phoned all the car dealerships, one of them said that such a car would be in a week, it suited me perfectly. A week passed, and my wife and I left the salon in a new car. The dealer offered mats, crankcase protection, it seemed to me a little expensive, and I refused. "Begging for" interior rugs as a gift. The market promised to bring a crankcase protection in 2 weeks for 2400 rubles. We were very pleased with the already tinted rear windows, good sound insulation, the door to the bottom, the feet do not get dirty on the thresholds, the fit is comfortable (my height is 176 cm), comfortable second-row seats (adjustable in tilt and the "seats" go back and forth), works very well stove, informative rear-view mirrors, a bunch of drawers under the boot floor. I can't write much about the driving characteristics of the Hyundai Santa Fe III yet, as I decided not to drive the car up to 1000 km. Fuel consumption from 13.5 to 15.5 liters in the city, I hope it will decrease in a couple of thousand km. From the special stages, I bought and already installed a standard head-mounted multimedia (Chinese), a TV antenna on the glass, a rear-view camera and parking sensors (they could not have been installed, everything was perfectly visible in the camera).

Advantages : design. Comfort inside. Engine. Suspension. Noise isolation.

disadvantages : price.

2012 Hyundai Santa Fe III

I saw in the press the new 3rd generation Hyundai Santa Fe. I read everything I could and took a test drive upon arrival at the salon. One petrol version is presented for the test. Appearance in white is great. The interior and thoughtful door seals are beyond praise. The clearance and the distance to the thresholds are sufficient. Sometimes I don’t understand how 185 mm might not be enough, when the Moskvich 2140 had 173, the Japanese had even less, but in my youth we climbed where I don’t go now on a “hundred” (L.C.). In addition, the measurement actually showed 195-200 mm on the equipped car. The distance from the edge of the wheel to the edge of the wing suggests that it is realistic to put the "rubber" 10-20 mm higher. Although the dealer immediately warned against this seditious thought with a loss of warranty. The engine in the cabin does not "mumble", the suspension behaves with dignity in terms of extraneous sounds, but this is a new car, and it is too early to judge this. Acceleration to "hundreds" was 11.6 seconds, and this was on a not run-in engine (it was not me who was driving, but I confess - my idea), there were 3 people in the car, two 100 and one 65. Test cars get it. Computer consumption is 16.8 at the beginning of the test and one-tenth less at the end. But here I am making allowances for long idle work and illogical driving (brake, gas) of many "drivers". In reality, I think it will be less, and the running-in will make itself felt.

The information content of the displays, both instrumental and multimedia, is rather poor. The display of information could be five more points (travel time, readings of external and internal thermometers, etc.), maybe this is, but I apparently did not get to the bottom. OEM GPS on Hyundai Santa Fe III - I didn't like it. Problematic with updating and informativeness, so that "my" Navitel is still better. The trunk is thoughtful and sufficient. There is another niche between the lower edge of the rear seat and the edge of the trunk - a kind of safe. Although the trunk curtain could be implemented as in the "Mazda CX-5" - rising together with the trunk lid.

Advantages : thoughtful interior. Ergonomics. Roominess. Comfort.

disadvantages : the information content of the devices is rather simple. Established GPS.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2013

What can I say, at first glance and a test for a 175-horsepower unit, the Hyundai Santa Fe III is quite dynamic. In the city, you can not strain to drive 80 and 120, on the highway it is advisable to keep on "tiptronic" in the operating range of 3500-5500, then he has enough dynamics for both overtaking and getting ahead. After the maneuver, turn on "D" and again in the cabin peace and quiet. At a speed of 180 km / h at a tachometer of 4300 rpm, and in the cabin you can calmly talk and listen to music - the roar of the engine does not bother and the noise of the road is practically inaudible. On the suspension in the city on small irregularities you feel discomfort, and on the track Hyundai Santa Fe III simply turns into a large liner, easily controllable and keeping track as if there were none at all. The stroke of the stabilizers of the struts is very large, so it is very difficult to pierce the suspension, even when taking off from the road with all 4 wheels (believe me, I have already experienced it). The stability control system of Hyundai Santa Fe III works at all 10 points out of 10 possible, I have not tested smarter than the "brains" of the car.

In terms of the ergonomics of the arrangement of instruments in the cabin, it is a solid "4" out of "5". As for the cross-country ability of the Hyundai Santa Fe III, I can say the following, which is slightly worse than that of my previous Hyundai ix35 transshipment machine on the "mechanics". However, half a meter of snow with loose soil is not a hindrance for Hyundai Santa Fe III. The only thing that annoys me is the periodic creaking of the front panel (torpedo), but I think this happened after the "officials" installed parking sensors and "signaling" for me. One gets the feeling that they forgot to fasten something, but in general, the car from the Hyundai concern turned out to be excellent and it is quite worthy of the name "Premium Crossover".

Advantages : appearance. Salon. Driving performance.

disadvantages : fuel consumption.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2015

Good day, I decided to insert a couple of lines about Hyundai Santa Fe III. After the birth of the child, it was decided to change to a SUV with a larger trunk for transporting baby accessories, with tears in his eyes he sold his F10 2.0 diesel with only 9,000 mileage. , and I didn't really like the harsh ranflet, and I didn't want to change tires and buy a spare tire for a new car either. Then he drove in, tested a new "Tiguan", it generally sucks, another deception of the buyer, lips made up and that's it. Hard, shock absorbers pierce even with a weak passage of speed bumps, the box is old from Multivan, roars, but stubbornly does not go. I was already upset, but on the way home I drove into Hyundai, there a new Hyundai Santa Fe III diesel came to the test and I was the first to drive it, the dynamics were very impressed and the operation of the box was at the level, compared with the sold F10, then the manager said that they were selling my test drive car with 3500 mileage, after negotiations it was bought in the maximum configuration. So, I've been rolling for the seventh month, I'm satisfied with the dynamics and consumption, nothing broke, the warranty is 4 years. The very thing.

Advantages : appearance. Dynamics. Controllability. Roominess.

disadvantages : insulation of arches.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2016

The car is just a fairy tale. I enjoy every centimeter passed. Whether it be yard pits, country off-road or a flat track, pleasure in any case. You can safely ride for 4 hours in a row. Seat comfort allows. And when my legs do start to swell, I just slightly change the inclination of the seat with a button. Not tough in use. This was the determining factor for me when buying. She seems to be moderately elastic. Small shots, small irregularities, large crushed stone - passes gently, unlike many others. Diesel is very playful. I love how it accelerates. I like that I can safely transport 3-meter sheets of "lining" for example. The old blanket on the torpedo and forward, even the seats can not be laid out, I just fold the central section of the back of the sofa. There are a bunch of all sorts of niches and drawers. Another thing that pleased me was that when passing diagonal bumps, the body does not bend, there is no characteristic creak of seals, as it was even on the Tuareg test. The four-wheel drive on the Hyundai Santa Fe III pleased me in winter, when the whole city got stuck, I rode calmly, it was not even interesting, it never skidded anywhere, and did not stall. By the way, the suspension is somehow tuned in such a way that, with sufficient softness, it does not allow to roll and skid on cruel turns. That is, you can simply sink into the floor at a 90-degree turn. I really like how the diesel is rushing to idle up a steep hill. Remembered that I did not like it - leather seats. They get warm in our latitudes, and the fifth point is sweating. I have a model without seat ventilation, albeit with perforations. So they are good, but I put good gray covers. By consumption: when I drove Hyundai Santa Fe III from Moscow to Crimea, for 1000 km it showed an average consumption of 8.5. In the city, I drive exclusively around courtyards and in traffic jams, with trips all weekend for flying through the forests and mountains, which also means 10-kilometer traffic jams at the entrance and exit of the city. Average consumption 10.4. The radio is unusually good at picking up, I say this as a driver with 19 years of experience. The sound is excellent.

Advantages : a lot of pluses.

disadvantages : not visible from behind the wheel of the engine start button.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2014

I bought Hyundai Santa Fe III in black - this is my first and last car in this color, the dust settles instantly and the look of the car in the dust is provided after 3-5 km. For a comfortable ride and in order not to break the suspension, I lowered the tires: before 2 atmospheres, rear 1.8 atmospheres - the effect is excellent. Our roads are very bad, in the spring there was a knock in the front suspension, from the passenger side when driving slowly on an uneven road, the knock is similar to a ball or thrust bearing the other day I am planning to call on the TO. Fuel consumption up to 7000 thousand km of run (city, traffic jams, warming up plus winter) - about 14-15 liters. Now in May, consumption has dropped to 11 liters. On-board PC (underestimates) - lies, about 2 liters. Recently, the oil level dropped below zero, as evidenced by a yellow lamp in the dashboard. Taking out the dipstick, I saw black oil on it, interspersed with black debris, as sulfur is written everywhere. Car oil from the factory. I will urgently go to change, in the future I plan to reduce the oil change interval to 8000 km. Diesel car. And the work of the engine is clearly audible in the passenger compartment. If you are ready to drive with the sound of a tractor, then this is your choice - for me it is not a problem. B - 24 degrees starts up without problems. The car is lucky and holds the road well. The speed is felt differently, it seems that you are driving 80, and on the speedometer 100. I checked it on the navigator, on the navigator - 5 km / h relative to the speedometer. Review, the right front pillar slightly interferes with a sharp turn to the right. The dimensions of the car in front and behind are poorly felt without cameras. Soundproofing of the floor and arches is apparently absent, in our "Kalina" 2007 it is in no way inferior. Throttle Pedal - There is a recall delay. I read that it is being eliminated with the help of a new firmware of the brain.

Advantages : good road holding at all speeds. Good brakes. Picks up speed well.

disadvantages : rigid suspension. Native tires Nexen N8000 (very noisy). Failure of the gas pedal. Poor soundproofing of the wheel arches. Windshield wiper - no continuous intermittent operation. The rain sensor lives its own life. The dimensions of the car are badly felt in front and behind.
