Do not forget that this is an urban crossover with all-wheel drive and you should not expect miracles from it on muddy terrain. Although the machine is quite interesting. By default, the drive is front-wheel drive, but when any of the wheels slip, the rear is also connected. All-wheel drive distributes torque in a 50X50 ratio. At speeds above 40 km per hour, the four-wheel drive is automatically disengaged. In the video below there is a test of the all-wheel drive of this car. The result is worthy to say. To the impatient, watch from 10 minutes 53 seconds.

In the morning, the car was frozen, -17 degrees on arrival at the salon. I started the car, turning on all possible heating. The steering wheel, front and rear windows and of course the seats were in the first position. After literally five minutes, you could go. By the way, I turned off the heating of the steering wheel, since I no longer felt the need for it. The seats remained on until our destination. In the first position, it seemed to me the most comfortable heating. You don't feel a lot of heat, you just feel comfortable. Adjusting the lumbar support is also a very convenient thing, at first I had to deal with it for several minutes, trying to find the right position.

Well, we decided to go to the off-road track for testing, where we have already tested the Vesta cross. But then there was little snow. And after a few days of snowfall, this is it for such a crossover.

They did not test it in an unknown place and went to the field.

They also did not dare to drive along the entire length of the route, the snow became more and more and accordingly deeper. Until we see there someone was trying to drive, but gave up this venture and turned around. We rode a little there.

It is impossible to say that the car is unlucky. Tussan is not only lucky, but also takes out. I saw several videos on YouTube, where it was shown how the four-wheel drive does not work and the car cannot enter even a small hill. It is very strange, maybe their equipment was not rich, with front-wheel drive ?! In my opinion, the car coped well with the snow. Of course, you should not knead dirt on it and expect over-cross-country ability too. This is not a frame SUV, and you don't need more for moving around in the city, for a trip to the country house, or fishing.

The presence of directional stability only adds confidence behind the wheel, although it seemed to me that it works with a slight delay. The car starts to drift a little into a controlled skid, and only then the system is connected and the car aligns. In general, it allows you to inject a little adrenaline.

By the way, I did not think that Tussan had such a trunk. On the surface, the car looks as short as a hatchback and it seems that there will be little space in the trunk, but this impression was deceiving.

To sum up: a comfortable car with four-wheel drive, good cross-country ability and sound insulation. On the track, only the hiss of tires was heard. You can talk freely. You have to raise your voice a little when you press the accelerator pedal to the floor. The deep growl of the engine at high revs permeates the cabin. Otherwise, I did not feel any discomfort.

Externally, the car attracts attention. We had the maximum grade. For myself, for example, the presence of all-wheel drive, fog lights, exchange rate stability systems, I consider necessary, and the rest, as they say, depends on the capabilities and desires.

If I were paid for such articles, it would be quite nice, it would be possible to develop the channel and significantly improve the quality of the video by purchasing an action camera, for example, a stabilizer, etc. the microphone is good.

New Hyundai Tucson 2019 - crossover restyling

Hyundai Tucson 2019 showed its next restyled version at the New York Auto Show at the end of March 2018. The model was updated as part of the company's planned policy. It is worth noting that the new thing turned out to be not just a tick in front of the corresponding item in the list of tasks of the manufacturer, but allowed the new Hyundai Tucson model to rise to a new level.

In general, you can catch the modernization of the body to a greater extent by placing the updated Hyundai Tucson and its previous version next to it. The manufacturing company planned to carry out the main work in two directions - the interior of the car with its equipment and the equipment of the model with improved engines. But leaving the appearance completely unchanged, even with a slight restyling, is not a good idea, because the creators made some cosmetic amendments.

With the car's interior, things are fundamentally different - this is a completely new salon. In the general picture, the presence of some dorestyling elements can be traced, but to a greater extent the interior is strikingly different from the previous one.

Below are two air deflectors, to the bottom left of them - the already familiar engine start button. In terms of driving, the driver does not expect any new elements in the cabin - the steering wheel, dashboard and gear lever of the Hyundai Tucson remain the same. Also, the engineers took care of the comfort of the cabin and equipped it with new seats with deep lateral support. The front seats received an electric position controller and ventilation. For the convenience of crossover control and the safety of both the driver and passengers and other road users (whether pedestrians or other cars with people), the new generation Hyundai Tucson is equipped with a variety of systems that will help avoid collisions and accidents. For example, among them you can find: the function of automatic braking, blind spot monitoring systems, keeping the car in the selected lane and all-round visibility. In this restyling, the manufacturing company tried to solve the issues of comfort in the cabin and at the same time increase the safety and convenience of driving.

Given the fact that the appearance of the restyled Tucson crossover has not actually changed, it should be noted that the overall dimensions of its body remained the same:

Appearance

The design of the Hyundai Tucson has been significantly redesigned: now the car at first glance catches with its sporty-urban style with impetuous features. You can still find out the crossover; the main innovations are noticeable in front and side views - the contours of the model began to resemble the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Santa Fe.

The first thing to notice is the new LED headlights, which have become slightly more tapered. Fog lights have undergone similar changes - now they are made in the form of an LED strip. Also, the front grille has changed. It is offered in two versions; other exterior options include 19-inch steel wheels and a panoramic roof.

Tussan has become larger and more spacious in comparison with the ix35. In addition to the wheelbase, which has become longer by 30 mm, the total body length has also increased by 65 mm, as well as the width by 30 mm. At first glance, the interior trim of the crossover does not differ in anything outstanding: materials are used that fully correspond to the class - no leather or wood, only leatherette on the seats and panels made of hard plastic, all in dull gray-black tones. However, the interior does not cause a feeling of low quality - everything is pleasant to the touch and looks decent.

After sitting behind the wheel, it becomes clear that the creators have solved the problem of discomfort inherent in the previous generation Hyundai Tucson. The salon has become much more spacious and ergonomic, the seats are comfortable (there is heating), the sound insulation is effective.

In addition to comfort, it is worth noting a useful set of auxiliary systems available to the driver. The technological filling clearly distinguishes the crossover against the background of its predecessors and even competitors - in addition to the usual electronics, there are options that are unusual for this class of cars. Driving assistance is provided by:

• keyless start system;
• electronic handbrake;
• GPS navigator;
• climate control for two seasons;
• systems of emergency braking, keeping in the lane, tracking side traffic and blind spots;
• automatic parking sensors;
• automatic opening of the tailgate;
• clever air conditioning with seat ventilation and rear compartment vents.

Everything is controlled very conveniently - through the keys on the steering wheel or the on-board computer. The latter is equipped with an 8-inch display; the dashboard has an additional 4.2-inch screen.

Driving performance

Although, in theory, the crossover should represent a balance between an SUV and a passenger car, Tucson has a slight bias towards a city car - one cannot expect real off-road ability from it. When overcoming serious irregularities, the stiffness of the suspension is noticeable, but it works out small holes well. At least potholes are not transmitted to the steering wheel, as on the ix35.

On dirt roads and asphalt roads, the crossover walks flawlessly. The handling is excellent, in sharp turns the car does not heel - you can safely drive even on mountain roads. With a diesel engine, the car shows excellent dynamics at high speeds.

Conclusion

The Korean company managed to successfully update the popular crossover, making it more stylish, comfortable and technically perfect. True, Tussan has lost its price advantage, but the cost can be flexibly varied by the selection of various options in terms of equipment. The car was a success.
