Fans of a "working" mess should not despair - cleanliness inside the car does not affect fuel economy or the level of cross-country ability. But almost everyone will agree with the fact that getting into a clean, odor-free limousine is much more comfortable. In addition, timely cleaning will increase the service life of decorative trim and car covers.

Perfect cleaning involves a complete disassembly of interior elements, this is the only way to get to the most remote places. However, implementing such a process in your garage is a very time-consuming event, and the services of cleaning companies are quite high. Therefore, most motorists decide to do everything on their own, but without a complete disassembly. Fortunately, the assortment of chemicals is very widespread, and the operation is no more complicated than on a hatchback.

Before cleaning the upholstery of the car, it is necessary to dwell on the technological features in more detail:

  • Interior elements of a car have so much different characteristicsthat need an individual approach when choosing cleaning products.
  • Deviations from the technological scheme can lead to a change in color, and materials such as Alcantara, gobos and jacard lose their noble pile.
  • The ceiling sheathing section is attached mainly to an adhesive base, therefore it is highly undesirable to leave it wet - the part will come off and sag.
  • Cleaning in summer is best done on a sunny day, and in winter you need a dry, heated garage.
  • Standard steam requires caution, the consequences for leather or suede are sometimes unpredictable.
  • The process must necessarily end with thorough drying, since even minimal residual moisture will become a beneficial environment for the development of corrosion and mold.

Important! Pay special attention to your own safety during work. A respirator, rubber gloves and goggles are required.

Preparatory stage

General cleaning of a car begins with a vacuum cleaner, which is convenient to collect any small debris and dust, especially if you use special attachments. First, you need to remove the covers and remove the rugs, as well as clean all boxes and containers of debris. It is even better when there is time and opportunity to dismantle the chairs.

Consumables and equipment for cleaning

To carry out a cleaning operation, you need a kit consisting of:

  • aerosol and foam;
  • conditioner and polishes;
  • antistatic and odor removal spray;
  • vacuum cleaner and special attachments for it;
  • towels or microfiber cloth;
  • polishing napkins and brushes.

Technology: how to clean dirty car upholstery yourself?

To avoid a short circuit, the vehicle must be switched off and the ignition switched off. It is advisable to seal the audio system and climate control unit with a waterproof film. The work site must be divided into zones, each of which is cleaned separately in the following sequence:

  • 1. Cleaning the ceiling conventionally divided into sections located above the seats. Before cleaning the ceiling upholstery of the car, the aerosol must be kept on the plane for a while, after which it is removed with a napkin or vacuum cleaner. It is important to avoid the formation of divorces. It is permissible to use carpet cleaning foam, which is diluted in water and applied to the ceiling.
  • 2. Cleaning doors ... First of all, the control buttons and handles are cleaned, for which they use small brushes. The fabric upholstery is processed in the same way as the ceiling. Plastic elements are cleaned with special agents, after which they are wiped with antistatic solutions. If planned, an antistatic agent is applied after the part has dried.
  • 3. Cleaning the chairs ... As practice shows, the largest number debris accumulates on the sides of the seats. The operation is similar to the technology specified in paragraph 1. Chairs made of leather or imitation leather are treated with a simple soap solution. After drying, the surface is rubbed with a skin care product. Difficult stains cannot be soaked for a long time, otherwise the chairs will have to dry for a long time. For such cases, there are options:
    • stains from juice or coffee are safely removed after applying ammonia;
    • alcohol stains disappear when interacting with a solution of one teaspoon of vinegar diluted in 200 grams of water;
    • traces of lipstick are removed with undiluted alcohol.
  • 4. Cleaning the floor starts from the front row. After applying the aerosol, it is removed after a few minutes with a vacuum cleaner. If necessary, the operation is repeated until the desired result is obtained.
  • 5. Cleaning the luggage compartment is performed using the same technology as the ceiling (paragraph 1).

It is worth noting that dry cleaning of any car interior with your own hands does not end with the listed items. Almost everyone forgets about seat belts, and they also need cleaning. To do this, use an aerosol or soap foam.

How to clean leather car trim?

When choosing auto chemicals for working with leather, the fact of the presence of a protective coating on it is important. This is determined by a drop of water - if it is not absorbed into the leather trim, then there is protection, but in the case when the water quickly left, it can be argued that there is none. In the first case, a cleaning solution is sufficient, and in the second, a conditioner or a universal composition is needed.

Practical experience in performing such procedures indicates decent results of the Leder Pflege cleansing lotion under the brand Liqui moly , as well as the universal leather cleaner Leather Cleaner & Conditioner from the company Meguiar’s... The listed products are very relevant for the leather interior not of the first freshness, after processing it becomes softer and more elastic. From inexpensive products, you can use the domestic cleaner Horse.

The conditioner is applied with a microfiber applicator. After the final absorption of the solution, the remaining material is removed with a napkin. The results will appear on the third day. To maintain the appearance of leather elements, 3-4 treatments with conditioner are enough per year.

Briefly about auto chemistry

No one has canceled the main rule - before buying, study the annotation for the detergent. The information will help you find out if the chemicals are suitable for cleaning the material of your car. Modern auto chemistry has active foaming properties, does not require a lot of water and can be easily removed with napkins.

Most motorists, before cleaning the upholstery of their car, are interested in the most famous and available samples for dry cleaning of the interior:

  • Liqui Moly.
  • Sonax.
  • Hi-Gear.
  • Gunkdetap.
  • ASTROhim.
  • Autosol.

Experienced motorists prefer to use professional products. These drugs include products from Meguiar's, a drug under the brand name All Purpose Cleaner universal and suitable for working with almost any coating, except glass.

Summary

Dry cleaning of the salon is completed by drying it, the duration of this stage depends on the type of agent used. After aerosol treatment, three hours are enough, and foam and wet cleaning require drying for 5-6 hours. It is sometimes advisable to use a heater. The video of the workflow will help you understand the cleaning procedure.

The vast majority of professional cleaners prefer aerosols. Their cost is higher than that of foam, but they are incomparable in terms of efficiency and manufacturability. Aerosol preparations do an excellent job of removing foreign odors and do not leave stains.

The car interior is the place where the driver and passengers should feel comfortable. That is why it is important to promptly clean it and clean the seats from possible dirt and dust. How and how to clean the car interior with your own hands? Can you use folk remedies for this? Let's figure it out.

Cleaning the leather interior

If the leather interior of the car is dirty, it should be cleaned in such a way as to preserve its original appearance. If this is not done correctly, stains and cracks may appear on the leather upholstery.

A material like leather needs delicate care. If the question arises of how to clean the leather interior of a car with your own hands in order to keep the upholstery intact, the selected tool must first be distributed in a small area that is hidden from view.

Leather itself is a material that differs in the type of tanning. Its strength characteristics can also be different. Moreover, it can be provided with a protective coating. It is this type of finish that can often be found in the salons of modern brands.

If there is no protective coating, a conditioner should be applied to the material, which has a positive effect on it - after application, the skin becomes softer and more elastic, acquires a pleasant smell and aesthetic appearance.

As a rule, the method of application of the leather interior cleaner is indicated on the packaging of the composition. It is recommended to apply the product to a soft cloth and then wipe the skin with it. This will help prevent the harmful effects of chemicals on the material.

As for the choice of the composition, often automakers give their own recommendations regarding the means for caring for the leather interior of a car of a particular brand.

However, when choosing a product, you should focus on the type of leather, its quality and the period of operation of the car. Car dealerships today offer a wide range of seat care products. They can have a creamy or liquid consistency. You can also cover your skin with a tint cream to enhance the color.

Before you clean the upholstery with your own hands, you need to vacuum it up and only then distribute the cream. This should be done with a sponge or suede fabric. You need to rub in the product until it is completely absorbed. Excess composition must be removed with a dry cloth and wait until the applied product is completely dry.

Cleaning the velor interior

Velor is a fabric that is also often used for car seat upholstery. This material is made by interweaving five threads, four of which form the upper and lower warp, and the fifth is used to create pile.

How to clean a velor car interior with your own hands and what is required for this? Since the velor-shaped material retains dust well, it is worth using a powerful vacuum cleaner with soft attachments as a cleaning device.

If a stain appears on the velor fabric, you can remove it with a soft cloth dipped in soapy water. You can replace the soap base with any other composition that is free of alkalis and bleaching agents.

All actions during cleaning must be very delicate. It is undesirable to apply effort when cleaning, to press on the fabric, to pull out the pile. All this can damage the velor fabric. It is also advisable to get a brush or sticky roller and periodically collect hair and wool from the surface.

Cleaning fabric upholstery

Another frequent question among car owners: "How to clean the car interior with your own hands: folk remedies or a ready-made store composition?" In fact, both options will work for upholstery care, but if you can't get a cleaning liquid, you can prepare it yourself.

This requires dishwashing liquid and water, which must be taken in equal proportions. The resulting mixture should be placed in a spray bottle. Spray the product over the upholstery, holding the bottle at a distance of 15 cm from it. You can also use a toothbrush to clean the upholstery.

How to clean the fabric interior of a car with your own hands if there is persistent dirt on the upholstery? The second preparation method involves the use of soap, borax and hot water.

The soap must be grated and mixed with 6 tbsp. l. shavings with 2 tablespoons of borax. Pour the mixture with hot water. To give the product a light, unobtrusive scent, you can pour 10 drops of lavender ether into it. The resulting liquid must be cooled and slightly foamed with a whisk. Apply foam to stains with a brush or sponge. After the product has slightly absorbed into the fabric, rinse it off with water and a clean cloth.

Cleaning the upholstery with a steam cleaner

If there are deeply ingrained dirt on the upholstery, you can clean up the interior with a steam cleaner. The device sprays hot water, which is immediately sucked back along with the dirt. Use the steam cleaner according to the instructions. As a cleaning solution, a store-bought product or a liquid based on vinegar and water that you can prepare yourself is suitable.

It is necessary to change the water in the steam cleaner as often as possible so that the interior is always cleaned with a clean composition.

Can I use Vanish to clean upholstery?

One of the most widespread upholstery cleaning products is Vanish. This product is truly highly effective. It is excellent at picking up dirt from carpets, which means it can be used for car seats too.

"Vanish" is a white powdery product. Its main purpose is to clean carpets, sofas and armchairs from dirt. It is also possible to clean the car interior with your own hands with "Vanish". To do this, it must be diluted in water until foam is obtained, applied to contaminated areas and wait until dry. After the stains disappear, the composition must be washed off with water.

Preparing the salon for dry cleaning at home

Before applying any product to the upholstery, in particular "Vanish", you need to prepare the salon for such a procedure. In order to prevent the system from closing, the car must be muffled. It is also necessary to unload the car - empty the luggage compartment, remove the seats.

After everything is cleaned, you can start cleaning the seats. Having decided what means to clean the car interior with your own hands, you can proceed directly to the procedure itself.

In order for the seats to take on their original appearance, the selected means must be distributed on them. It can also be applied to armrests and headrests.

After washing, you can start cleaning the trunk, floor and other parts that are covered with a cloth.

Cleaning the vinyl interior

Vinyl upholstery is easy to clean. All you need to do is apply window cleaner and wipe it down with a soft cloth. Thus, you need to clean every area. How to clean the interior with your own hands if it has vinyl upholstery and the dirt is very ingrained? To do this, you can take soda and water in equal parts and polish the surface.

The components are mixed to a pasty state and only then are they distributed on the upholstery. Next, the mixture must be washed off with soapy water and wiped dry with a rag.

It is advisable to avoid using oil-based cleaners as vinyl upholstery can harden.

A toothbrush is good for cleaning seams. In these places there is an accumulation of dust and dirt, which cannot be removed by a vacuum cleaner. Therefore, a toothbrush soaked in cleaning liquid will definitely do the job.

Cleaning the interior with a vacuum cleaner

How to clean the car interior with your own hands if there is no obvious contamination, but there is a large accumulation of dust in it? Wet and dry vacuum cleaners are suitable for this purpose. They usually have a long hose and a long cord, which makes cleaning the interior easier.

If there is no such device in everyday life, you can use it at the car wash. Of course, you will have to pay for the use of such equipment. But as for mini-portable vacuum cleaners, their power is not always enough for a complete interior cleaning.

As attachments, those made of plastic are suitable. Metal options should not be used as they can scratch or tear the upholstery, especially if it is leather or vinyl.

Dry cleaning of the ceiling

We figured out how to clean the car upholstery with our own hands. But as for the ceiling, it is advisable to use sprayers for this purpose. It is advisable to divide the ceiling into zones and clean each of them separately. A cleaning foam should be applied to each area. The duration is always indicated on the package. After that, the product is removed with a clean napkin.
All movements must be carried out in one direction. You need to start cleaning from windshield towards the luggage compartment. Ceilings are generally soft materials that can lose their original appearance if not cleaned properly.

Conclusion

So, you know how to clean the car interior with your own hands. The main thing is to choose the right product, focusing on the type of upholstery and the nature of the pollution, and to carry out all actions very delicately.

The desire to save money on cleaning car seats is justified and is due to the fact that we get them dirty often and quite simply, and not everyone can afford dry cleaning services at car washes and in specialized salons.

Using the old-fashioned methods, which many go to in order to clean the car seats and its interior on their own, most often lead to either no result, or, even worse, to the destruction of the seat material.

Also, do not try to use strong chemicals that do not match your purpose.

For example, do not scrub heavily soiled fabric or leather with a glue or bitumen neutralizer. Such experiments will definitely lead to irreversible consequences.

Let's not reinvent the wheel and experiment, but consider expert opinions on the issue of cleaning car seats. This way we can avoid ridiculous mistakes and save time on unnecessary experiments.

The minimum set of tools and tools for cleaning any car seats

There is no point in purchasing things like a steam generator or ionizer for home use, just as there is no point in buying industrial vacuum cleaners. We will describe the minimum set that will be enough to dry-clean your car seats yourself.

  • Vacuum cleaner. The more powerful the better. The vacuum cleaner must be without a dust bag. In principle, these are now used at home. Do not worry, you will not spoil it, it will only be needed to collect the foam.
  • Sponge. Any will do, but it is better to choose a larger and denser one, it will be more convenient to work this way.
  • Brush. It must be selected individually, just focus on the material of your interior upholstery. Don't overdo it with rigidity.
  • Bucket and rubber gloves. Here for your taste and color.
  • Hot water. It is hot, not warm.
  • Well, the most important component of the process - cleaning agent.

Let us dwell on the issue of choosing chemicals for cleaning the car interior. We will not focus on brands and manufacturers. Let's analyze the qualities and characteristics that this chemistry should have.

  • Concentrate with high foaming properties. Do not put foam in a spray can. It will cost you dearly and will hardly produce the desired result.
  • Chemistry should not contain aggressive solvents.
  • It is preferable to use chemistry with a neutral pH.

Do not look for such chemicals in car dealerships, it is rarely found there. You can buy it in any city where car washes exist.

Just use the Internet and enter something like "Buy chemicals for car washes in the city of N" in the search box. Managers will not refuse you to purchase goods from them and, possibly, even arrange delivery to you with a forwarder.

Don't take the dearest one. You can buy good chemistry within 400-600 rubles per liter, which will be enough for you for more than one cleaning of the seats of your car.

How do I clean the seats in my car?

It is not necessary to disassemble and remove your car seats. If you manage to get to the polluted place, then you can do without unnecessary manipulation.

Cleaning should be done in a location where you have access to electricity and hot water.

After you have purchased everything you need, you can get to work. The sequence of actions is as follows.

  1. It is necessary to dilute the chemistry you have purchased in hot water. The instructions for use will describe in what ratio to mix water with the product. Stir the chemistry well with water (you can use a stick) and make sure that at least 70% of the volume in the bucket is foam, and the rest is water.
  2. Apply foam with a sponge to stain or dirty surface so that it soaks through the fabric (if the seat is leather, then just apply the foam to the surface with a sponge). It is advisable to clean the entire element so that there is no one clean spot on the seat, it looks no better than a dirty divorce.
  3. Wait for the chemical to react with the dirt. This will take about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Use a brush or sponge to grout the surface of the seat. Do not overdo it. It is better to repeat the procedure a couple of times if the stain is heavily embedded in the material than to rub and thereby ruin the upholstery.
  5. Collect the dirty foam off the material using a vacuum cleaner and a few wipes.
  6. Ventilate the salon.The seat of your car will be wet, so if there is an opportunity to leave the vents slightly open for several hours, it is better to take this chance so that the car has freshness without the smell of dampness.

Use household gloves throughout the cleaning cycle. After finishing work, do not forget to wash your palms with soap. Do not add chemistry to your eyes with your own hands.

This DIY cleaning method is perfect for any upholstery, regardless of the problem you need to solve. It is easy to clean car seats at home using household products and inexpensive professional chemicals. The product you purchase can stretch over multiple car seat cleanings.

If you have a baby in your family, then this method will be indispensable, since in this way you can get rid of the smell of urine that has entered the cabin, and other unpleasant "odors", as well as almost any stain that little pranksters often put.

When cleaning stubborn stains, you can repeat the procedure several times. If you choose the right product, then it will not negatively affect the car seat upholstery.

If the car interior needs to be cleaned of an unpleasant odor, then you can clean the entire upholstery using this method, and not just individual stains. Also, this procedure will help to quickly clean the car interior from the beer or kvass spilled in it and get rid of the unpleasant intoxicating smell.

If you need to wash the gaps at the joints of the panel elements, then apply foam on them, let it settle a little and remove it with a vacuum cleaner. In the same way, you can clean off stains and other plastic elements of your car at home without using additional tools.

Ceiling cleaning is carried out in the same way. But in order to clean its surface, it is advisable to protect your eyes from possible splashes when working with foam.

If it is necessary to clean the car seats and its interior from blood stains, it is recommended to use cold water instead of hot. The process may be a little more difficult, but the cold water will keep the blood from clotting on the tissue.

If the interior of the car is smoky, then it is recommended to use additional fragrances. In addition, stains are formed on the ceiling in smokers' salons. Getting rid of such stains, do not overdo it with chafing, the ceiling lining is the most difficult to replace.

Estimated estimate of self dry cleaning

So, we have considered the option of dry cleaning the interior of your vehicle at home. From consumables, the following items are used in this cleaning method:

  • chemistry - 500 rubles;
  • large and dense sponge - 200 rubles;
  • brush - 100 rubles.

In total, the cost of all the material used will be about 800 rubles. These materials should be enough for you for one or two complete dry-cleaning of the interior, including items made of plastic, ceiling and carpet.

Whether it is expensive or affordable is up to you to judge. But, according to experts, this is one of the few ways to carry out dry cleaning on your own and without unnecessary risks for interior materials.

The method is quite simple and does not require specific skills and resources.

You can clean the interior in the garage, in the covered parking lot, and in the summer even in the yard of your house, if you have a long electric power carrier.

Most importantly, do not forget about basic protective equipment and protect your eyes from getting into them with a chemical.

Alcohol, laundry soap, vodka, as well as carpet cleaning compounds - all of these products are suitable for those who are going to clean the car interior without overpaying a penny. This or that advice comes from positive experiences. And negative, that is, negative reviews about the use of "folk remedies" are rarely published. In fact, even the options listed here are not so bad. There are just exceptions to the rules. It is about them, about these exceptions, that will be discussed further.

Is it easy to get along with Alcantara

When carrying out the cleaning procedure for artificial suede (Alcantara), it is better to adhere to the rules:

  • A regular foam sponge is good for dry cleaning. In other cases, use a special brush;
  • It is better to give preference to a branded product intended for cleaning not suede, but Alcantara. Aerosol foam is more commonly offered. The foam is applied, dried for 2-3 minutes, washed from the surface with a coarse cloth.

And here is a list of common "people's advice": instead of special means, you can buy foam for cleaning carpets (Vanish), but generally it is easier to use ammonia. Note that ammonia is included in any proprietary product. It turns out that there will be only one benefit from its use - financial.

Alcantara brush resembles a shoe

In theory, car dealers themselves sell Alcantara cleaning products. Why not take advantage of this? We will leave the choice to the owner.

Another opinion is widespread: a stain on Alcantara can be removed with gasoline bought at a gas station. But if gasoline leaves traces on the paper when it dries, then the result obtained with another material will be similar. Draw conclusions.

Generally recognized folk remedies

The ideal chemical to help clean both fabric and plastic is laundry soap. Dissolving it in hot water, you need to get a liquid foam, which, after cooling, is applied with a brush. The result looks like this:

We clean all interior parts with soap

The soap residues are removed with a brush dipped in water. And at the final stage, use a damp cloth.

Any soap in its pure form is an aggressive solvent. When cleaning with a brush, it is impossible not to break the structure of the threads. Conclusion: the fabric will survive only a few "soapy cleanings". And then you have to change it.

For fabrics that resemble velvet, advice on using laundry soap is not appropriate. The chemical agent itself will be harmless for them, but this cannot be said about the use of brushes. This means that you have to find suitable special equipment.

Here are some more common tips. They also relate to the treatment of the salon:

  • Plastic, with the exception of glossy, can be cleaned with monitor cloths;
  • The imitation leather is perfectly cleaned with dishwashing detergent;
  • Stains left on plastic or fabric are erased with vodka;
  • Any carpet cleaner will help clean the fabric.

Perhaps, you can take all these advice with confidence, except for the last one. A carpet cleaner can leave streaks, and there are no rules here: streaks appear on dark and sometimes light fabrics. Test a small area of \u200b\u200bthe upholstery to see if the last recommendation actually applies.

Example on video

All car enthusiasts know that new car has its own unique smell and this smell excites the soul of the motorist and fills him with real joy. But, time goes by and the new car becomes not so new. This unique aroma disappears and the car begins to live its usual life on our roads. Over time, the interior of the car becomes less clean, and various stains and smudges begin to appear. All this is completely solvable by dry cleaning. Most do so. But this procedure is not cheap. Therefore, someone thinks about cleaning the car interior on their own, that is, with their own hands. It is also quite possible to do this if you know the best way to clean and follow some rules.

Interior upholstery cleaning. Highlights

Today, the materials used for the upholstery of car interiors are quite durable. But nevertheless, if you do not follow the upholstery, then no quality material can last long. Small children very often leave various marks on the seats and other "insides" of the car. All those sweets that they eat or other food, you can probably find on the seats. In addition, our streets do not differ in cleanliness and the dirt that we bring into the salon may be not only on rugs, but also on other surfaces. That is why you need to constantly monitor the upholstery, if, of course, you want it to look attractive to you.

If you spill any drink, then the stains from it must be removed immediately. Don't wait for it to soak into the upholstery. Then it will be much more difficult to get him out of there. Therefore, your car must have wet wipes, any cloth or paper towels. All these things will help you remove stains if you spill something in the cabin.

Food stains (and many people love to eat in the car) must also be removed immediately. All for the same reason - it is much more difficult to remove an old stain.

Always use a vacuum cleaner regularly. If you do not regularly vacuum up dirt and dust, it can go deep into the upholstery of the car, and its attractive appearance it will not be possible to restore it without serious dry cleaning.

Those with children use child car seats. They put him in the back seat. At the same time, pay attention that you do not have it in the same place. Change its rear position periodically. This way you can keep the upholstery in the rear seat of your car longer. The very position of such a chair, too, should be changed, if possible. In addition, do not forget to clean up dust and dirt under the child seat regularly.

It is better not to eat or drink any "colored" drinks in the car. So the probability of its contamination will be minimal, and, therefore, you will keep the upholstery clean much longer. If you really love to eat and drink in the car, then you will definitely not be left without stains on the upholstery. Of course, if you have a lot of free time, then the salon can be cleaned constantly. But if you do not have such time, then it’s better to keep food intake in the salon to a minimum.

How to remove stains from inside a car?

Pollution in the passenger compartment is almost never uniform. Often there are spots that are very conspicuous. They need to be removed as soon as possible, because even if the stain is small, then over time, it will still become large. So it's best not to wait for this moment, and remove this stain now.

Dirt stains

These stains are most common in our vehicles. Dirt or particles of earth are strongly rubbed into the upholstery and make it very unsightly. It is only necessary to introduce such stains if the upholstery in this place is dry. To begin with, simply rub the dirt spot with a brush. This will allow you to remove the excess of this very dirt, which has not yet been absorbed into the upholstery, and is located outside. Further, with the help of a soft nozzle of a vacuum cleaner (the one that is used for furniture), you will need to vacuum this stain. This way, you can already remove most of the dry dirt from the upholstery itself. If the stain is already removed with difficulty, then wet processing is indispensable. It is better to rub it with a slightly damp cloth, or use a washing vacuum cleaner. But in any case, you don't need to pour a lot of water. So the stain will only be absorbed into the upholstery more strongly, and this is not necessary for us at all.

Coffee stains in the salon

The second most popular type of stain is coffee. After all, many, especially those who travel far, love to have a cup of coffee in the salon. Therefore, such spots are far from uncommon. Sometimes drivers simply forget to put away the coffee cup they put on the panel. The car started, and the coffee spilled accordingly. In any case, coffee is not immediately absorbed into the upholstery, so if you spill it, then immediately blot the spilled liquid with the same paper towel. It will help you to remove spilled coffee to the maximum. The liquid is simply absorbed faster into such a towel than into the dense upholstery of the passenger compartment. It's good if you have water in the cabin. Then just pour it over a fresh coffee stain and again collect it all with a soft towel. Later, on top of the coffee stain, you will need to apply a product that is used for cleaning carpets. And later the stain will still need to be vacuumed.

Vomiting spots

Cleaning the car interior from vomit stains is still not so common. But, nevertheless, this is also quite possible. It often happens that children or animals are simply rocked when riding, as a result of which such spots appear. Such stains are not easy to rub off. And again, to successfully combat them, everything must be done promptly. First, be sure to open the windows in the car, or the door as a whole. This is done not only so that the unpleasant smell comes out, but also so that the air circulation is greater. This will allow the interior to be better ventilated and the stain will dry out faster after cleaning. The common part of such contamination must be removed quickly. This can be done with any cloth, paper towels or similar soft things.

Next, you need to clean it with soda (1/4 of a glass) and water. We dilute all this soda in a glass of warm water. Then, simply with a clean cloth (or the same napkin), we simply gently blot the stain itself, while rubbing it should not be. Next, we rinse the place of contamination, rinse it and again it will need to be soaked with this cleaning compound. The fabric itself will need to be periodically rinsed in clean water, because cleanliness cannot be achieved at once. If the soda solution becomes too cloudy at the same time, then it is better to prepare another one. When you manage to completely remove the stain from the upholstery, this place will need to be covered with baking soda and slowly rubbed into this area. The smell, soda kills very well, which is very important in this case. Let the baking soda dry on the stain, then it can be removed simply with a vacuum cleaner.

If small residues still remain, then a clean cloth (first moisten it in water) can be removed. And moisture that may still remain on the stain, just blot until the stain is practically dry. And the final stage is to vacuum the spot again, if necessary.

Also, after such stains, an unpleasant odor may remain in the cabin. It can be removed with cat litter. Just place its granules in a woman's stocking or tights. The cat litter absorbs the smell perfectly.

Blood stains in the car

Such stains need to be removed quickly. If you put it off until later, it will be much more difficult to clean the upholstery. It is best to use only cold water here. If the water is warm, or very hot, then the stains will only more eaten into the upholstery. Again, cleaning these stains starts with a simple napkin. Your task, as usual, is to blot the stain and remove most of it. You should not rub the place of pollution here. You need to use a soft cloth soaked in cold water only.

Take a spray bottle and pour dishwashing liquid (a teaspoon) and a glass into its container cold water... Then shake the container well and you can spray it on the stain itself. Then again the stain will need to get wet, and this should be done only from the edge of the stain and further to the middle. With one procedure you will hardly be able to remove the stain, so you should repeat it "to the bitter end!"

Car interior cleaning with a simple tool

This tool is suitable not only for the interior of your car, but also for cleaning the upholstery of the sofa. We will cook it from one cup of any liquid soap, plus a cup of vinegar and here we will add another cup of mineral water. Better to take "Borjomi", "Arkhyz" or "Yessentuki". We will work again with a bottle with a spray bottle and a brush.

First of all, the very surface of the upholstery will need to be cleaned of dust and any debris. All of the ingredients in our cleaner must be mixed well in the bottle itself. And then you can already apply this composition with a spray gun to the upholstery. We leave it all for 5 or 10 minutes. After that, we take a brush and dirty places with three brushes, and we work with a brush in a circular motion. Most small, fresh stains can be removed well this way. But, if you cannot immediately remove the old stains, then you can repeat the procedure. The second treatment will have to remove old stains.

We clean the leather and vinyl in the salon

These materials are much easier to clean than fabric upholstery. For them, special products are sold that will help you put these materials in order and, in addition, will also remove the smell.

Although, of course, the skin must also be cleaned very carefully, because it is painted quite easily, and you can also get it dirty. But, the advantage of the skin is that the liquid that you spilled on it can be removed immediately with almost no loss, and there will be no marks on the skin. All this must be done not slowly and better with those cleaning agents that are intended specifically for the skin. If you have a leather interior, then you must have such means at hand.

The vinyl interior should be cleaned regularly. This is done with a simple tool of 3-4 drops of any dish detergent, which are diluted in a plate with warm water. You need to wipe with this compound with a clean cloth, and after it, we do the same with a dry cloth. If this does not help and any stains still remain, then use ammonia (1/4 of a glass), which is diluted in a glass of water. Again, with this composition, we treat the stain with a soft cloth, and if it is sufficiently persistent, then we also clean it with a soft brush. Next, dry the cleaning site and apply an appropriate protective agent to the vinyl.

Of course, the car interior must be constantly monitored, no matter what surface you have. So its upholstery will always be in order and emergency dry cleaning is not required.

But in this video you will be told about some more methods that will help you clean the car interior at home. We look.

P.S. If the article was useful to you, please share it with your friends in social networks... I would be very grateful to you.

Hello dear motorists! Remember? "And unwashed ... motorists - shame and disgrace, shame and disgrace ...". It is clear that these words of the poet do not refer in our case to the personal hygiene of the driver, but to such procedures as: washing the car and cleaning the inside of the car.

We are not going to convince you that a clean car, or dry cleaning of the cabin, somehow affect the speed of movement or the safety of passengers. Of course not.

But, you will agree that when you sit in a clean, pleasantly smelling freshener, the interior of the car, there is an inner feeling of comfort and tranquility. Yes, and cleaning the car interior increases the service life of materials: plastic, upholstery, covers.

There are two options for keeping the car clean and tidy: use the services of a car service in terms of washing and dry cleaning, or cleaning the car yourself.

Fortunately, the chemicals for cleaning the car interior are now presented in the widest range, and for every wallet. And if servicing a car with your own hands also gives you a certain pleasure, then the issue is automatically resolved in favor of cleaning the car interior with your own hands.

The only thing left is to choose a means for cleaning the car interior and work out a certain cleaning algorithm, which is used in their work by professional cleaning managers.

Car interior cleaning: technology step by step

Remark. Given the fact that not every car owner has professional equipment for dry cleaning in his garage, let us dwell on the consideration and the device for dry cleaning of improvised means: a vacuum cleaner and an iron.

Do not forget to prepare polishing cloths, towels that absorb water, attachments for the vacuum cleaner, especially you need a narrow attachment for cleaning seams and joints near the seats, and hard-to-reach places in the cabin.

Well, you are probably already familiar with using a cleaning vacuum cleaner to clean the interior. But what about the iron? What to do with it? Remember, all modern irons have the function of steam ironing.

In our case: dry cleaning of the salon with steam, an iron may well be used. For humid steaming of the most dirty areas of casing or covers. Yes, and do not forget that cleaning the leather interior using our artisanal method - steam ironing is not recommended.

So, the technology for cleaning the car interior:

  • we always start cleaning the interior from the ceiling. Divide the ceiling into conventional zones. Typically, each zone is above the seats for a total of four zones. When cleaning the ceiling and upholstery, it is not necessary to moisten the upholstery abundantly with water. You remember that it is glue-based, and therefore can come off corny.
  • Dry cleaning of seats. If your covers are removable, then we remove them, and proceed to the seats. When cleaning the seats, fold them out to facilitate access to the joints. Pay attention to the ends of the seats, they are not protected by covers, therefore much dirtier than the rest of the seat.
  • Salon floor. The largest amount of debris, dust and dirt accumulates under the driver's and passenger's seats. These areas are given special attention.
  • The next step is cleaning the door cards. Especially in those places where our hands constantly touch them when we open the door or lean our hand while moving. You can see for yourself that gradually these places become dirty and worn out.
  • Now smoothly move on to cleaning decorative finishing interior: plastic on the doors, torpedo.
  • The final touch for cleaning a car is mirrors and glass. Cleaning the glass from the inside will take longer for those who smoke inside the car, as smoke deposits make the glass noticeably cloudy.

Well, that's probably all. Now we know how to clean a car interior with our own hands. It remains only to find out - how to clean it.

What chemicals for cleaning the car interior are offered to us, and what to choose

The first rule: when choosing an interior cleaner, you should read the annotation and find out whether this chemistry is suitable for cleaning the material with which your interior is sheathed.

Why are such active foaming agents good? They require a minimum of water and are easy to vacuum clean.

If you do not trust household chemicals, then auto chemical stores will offer you the widest selection of special foam for interior cleaning: any manufacturer and for any wallet. You just have to choose. For example: Liqui Moly, Hi-Gear, Sonax, Gunkdetap, ASTROhim, Autosol, etc.

What are the benefits of active foam preparations? Ease of use. We dilute with water as indicated in the instructions and apply the foam to the upholstery surface. After a while, we simply remove it: either with a towel or with a vacuum cleaner.

For plastic and chrome interior coatings, plastic and metal polishes are used. With the use of these polishes, you will not have any difficulties, since the order of their application is described on the packaging.

As a folk chemistry for cleaning a car interior, tested by generations of motorists, you can offer the following options: water with vinegar essence (a teaspoon per glass) - copes well with alcohol stains. 10% ammonia - will do an excellent job with traces of fruit, coffee or tea. 90% ethanol will help remove ink and lipstick stains.

Now, you can sit down and smoke. Cleaning done: independently and perfectly.
