Izh-2715 - Soviet and Russian two-six-seater (in various modifications) cargo-passenger vehicle with a van, pickup body type. Serially produced at the Izhevsk Automobile Plant for 29 years, in 1972-2001. Released 2 317 493 cars [ ] .

Car cab double, seats - separate with adjustment of the driver's seat along the length and backrest tilt. Created on the basis of the Moskvich-412 car, also produced in Izhevsk. It was produced in a complete set with engines of the UZAM-412E modification (1.487, 75 hp) and UZAM-412DE (1.487 l, 67 hp).

In the 1980s. was the only light delivery vehicle in the USSR. Prior to that, the supply of trade organizations with such vehicles was traditionally entrusted to auto repair plants, which converted sedans and station wagons into delivery vans and pickups. Its carrying capacity was 450-500 kg. Used to transport small consignments. Due to the shape of the body, it received the nickname "heel". Izh-2715 was often engaged in the transportation of confectionery products, from which it received the corresponding second nickname "pie" or "pie-car".

Modifications

Two generations of Izh-2715 cars were produced in various modifications.

The first generation was produced in 1972-1982. The front part of the car was borrowed from Moskvich-412, produced at the same plant. Some export modifications the front facing and headlights (manufactured by the GDR) were installed from the IZH-2125 "Combi" produced in Izhevsk in the same years.

Modifications up to 1982

Izh-2715 (1972-1982)

  • Izh-2715 van. Had a two-leaf rear door. Produced in 1972-1982.
  • Izh-27151 - pickup. The tailgate was folded down. Produced in 1974-1982

In 1982, everything was renewed. lineup Izh cars, instead of the radiator grille inherited from AZLK, they received a new black grille developed by IzhAvto with round headlights. Also, the new generation received a new hood, recessed handles and doors without vents (now very rare options with vents).

Modifications after 1982

Izh-2715-01 (1982-1997)

  • Izh-2715-01 - light all-metal van
  • Izh-2715-011-01 (AI-76) -014-01 (AI-93) - light all-metal van.
  • Izh-27151-011-01 - pickup. Produced in 1982-1997.
  • Izh-27156 - six-seater cargo and passenger option. Produced in 1988-2001. This modification was intended both for the carriage of goods and for short-term transportation of passengers. The design of the car basically repeated the model cargo van Izh-2715-01, differing from it in a transformable rear cargo compartment, along the sides of which two folding double seats were installed. In addition, in place of the blank sides of the booth, two large windows with sliding glass for air flow and glass on the left wing of the rear door appeared. The glass in the partition separating the cab from the cargo compartment has also become movable. In the cabin, at the level of the passengers' heads, additional soft linings were placed and under the ceiling - a lighting shade. In accordance with the requirements of passive safety, many power elements of the body were reinforced.

The car was intended for bulky lightweight cargo. With an increase in useful volume cargo platform the declared carrying capacity remains the same. In case of overload, the machine was unloaded front axle, and controllability was violated. It is also known that in the nineties, on the basis of such pickups, IzhMash manufactured for the domestic market a pilot batch of 10 cargo-and-passenger vehicles - with a “glazed” van. Some of them were used as ambulances, but they did not go into production due to poor handling when loading the rear axle.

It is known that some vans were converted by their owners into cargo and passenger vans on their own.

During the formation of alternative forms of ownership in Russia - the same cooperative, for example - the creators truck Izh-2715 with a van-type body for the first time seriously thought about the possibility of producing a variant of the car, the body of which, if necessary, could be transformed into a passenger one. The Izh-27156 vehicle, which was a cargo and passenger modification of this widespread van, was actually tasked with meeting the requirements of an individual owner, a cooperator.

Izh-2715-01 with a bus window in the sidewall of the cap, rear view

In terms of body, the Izh-27156 was almost completely unified with the base Izh-2715, however, two double seats were installed along the sides of the Izh-27156, which made the car a six-seater (including the driver). In addition to passengers, it was possible to transport a small load. With the seats folded back, the interior turned into a cargo compartment. In addition to the latter, it seemed possible to place the load on a special trunk mounted on the roof of the car. Due to the fact that cargo body was used to transport people, and some changes were made to it.

Firstly, instead of blind side walls, large windows with sliding glass-vents appeared in the cabin - one on each of the side walls, which provided both visibility and ventilation. Secondly, a window appeared in the window installed in the partition that separated the salon from the cockpit. Thirdly, a hatch with a lifting metal cover appeared in the roof. And, finally, an additional cover was installed to illuminate the body, and special linings were installed at the head level in order to protect passengers from bruises. The rear door lock was supplied with an additional handle - an internal one.

A significant part of Izh-27156 cars were produced with derated up to 68 hp. from. engine model UZAM-412DE running on A-76 gasoline. This configuration was designated as Izh-271566-011 (with a standard 75-horsepower engine UZAM-412E - Izh-271566-014).

Appearance options

All produced variants appearance Izh-2715 can be roughly divided into four main types:

  • First option - the sidewall of the booth has three stiffening ribs, there are no ribs on the car body, the bumper and radiator trim are chrome-plated, the rear doors are smooth with a metal emblem "IZH 1500 GR". Instead rear bumper - a tube consisting of three parts.
  • Second option - the sidewall of the booth has three stiffening ribs, on the car body - one. Radiator grille and front bumper painted in the color of the car. The rest is similar to the first option.
  • Third option - the sidewall of the booth has three stiffening ribs, on the car body there are two ribs, the rear doors are smooth with the Izh-2715 stamping. The radiator grille and front bumper are painted in the color of the vehicle. The front bumper could be with "fangs", and on the front of the booth there could be a stiffener. The rear bumper consisted of two tubes on the sides of the body.
  • Fourth option - cars with a new black grille (2715-011 and 014 often had a body-colored grille), recessed door handles, embossed on the roof and sidewall of the driver's cab. There is a stiffening rib on the front of the booth, three stampings in the form of windows on the sidewalls of the booth, two stiffeners on the rear doors and Izh-2715 stampings on the right half of the rear door and in the form of a window on the left. Instead of the rear bumper, there was a tube in the center of the body (the tube was more installed at 27156, at 2715, two arcs on the sides remained), there are no side tubes. The front bumper is painted in the color of the car, and on cars recent years release - black plastic bumper. It was on the basis of the fourth version that the Izh-27156 was produced - with one window on each side panel of the booth and on the back on the left door, in the back in the center - a step, front bumper and radiator trim - in body color or black.

Specifications

the Saratov plant "Tantal" (now "Mossar") launched the production of a pickup model in a scale of 1:43 under the name "Moskvich pickup"; however, this model has vertical taillights (borrowed from the first version of "Moskvich-408"), and its prototype was a non-serial car produced in Moscow, and not in Izhevsk.

The publishing house "Orel" (Kherson, Ukraine) in the magazine "Paper modeling" No. 269 issued a cardboard assembled model of a car in a scale of 1:25 (model developer - S. Obidin).

According to the requirements passive safety many power elements of the body were reinforced.
There was also an export modification IZH-27151 "Elite PickUp" with an extended platform. In the USSR it was known under the index Izh-27151-013-01. Initially, the car was supplied only to Latin America (in particular, to Panama, from where the Soviet trade organization Autoexport received a delivery order), but later it was also sold in Finland. It got its name by analogy with the export name Moskvich-412, sold in some markets as "Elite 1500". The main difference from pickups for the domestic market was the elongated cargo platform and square headlights, as on the Moskvich and IZH of the first generation. Turn signal blocks and side lights remained the same, from the IZH series "IE" of the last years of release. The wheelbase and technical stuffing remained unchanged.
The car was intended for bulky lightweight cargo. With an increase in the useful volume of the cargo platform, the declared carrying capacity remained the same. In the event of an overload of the machine, the front axle was unloaded, and controllability was impaired.

Notes

Pickup "Bizon-1" based on "Moskvich"

The pickup was specially designed like a car high cross-country ability for rural areas, as well as vehicle for fishermen-hunters. IZH 2715, better known as "Kabluchok", was taken as the base, the production and sale of which started in 1972, back in the days Soviet Union... In the XXI century, despite its respectful age, the car has acquired a number of advantages.

Village, fishing and hunting require an inexpensive, lightweight and reliable car... Utilitarian equipment, in principle, should be cheap, and its repair as simple and affordable as possible. The Bizon-1 pickup truck shown in the photo was prepared for the 2000 auto show. As a result, a practical and inexpensive SUV was created, the mass of which was only 580 kg.

The "Bizon-1" is equipped with a "native" 1.6-liter engine and a gearbox. The motor crankcase is protected by an aluminum guard with towing brackets. Front suspension, in general, standard, but have undergone changes steering knucklesas well as fasteners for the lower arms and shock absorbers with pivot joints. The springs are borrowed from the Russian Volga, but supplemented with spacers.

For a number of reasons, the rear axle is taken from the Niva. First, it is much lighter than the "Muscovite" one; secondly, it has a wider track; thirdly, the Niva axle in the gearbox has a lowered pair; fourthly, it is possible to install a disk or cam lock; and fifthly, which is important, all this can be bought inexpensively, in almost any auto shop.

"Bizon" also fell for the "VAZ" shock absorbers, but 5 sheets had to be removed from the very hard springs, as the car learned to be unexpectedly light. To avoid reworking the cable, the creators installed a hydraulic "handbrake". Spare wheel fixed on a special roof rack located on the cab roof. Familiar to all of us, "Heel" has lost its usual booth, turned into an open body, in turn reinforced with a welded safety cage.

To make the Bizon-1 ride on wheels from the Niva, the front hubs received transitional duralumin spacers. Exclusive forged wheel disks R-16, produced by JSC "VILS" off road tires 245 / 85-16. The side skirts, front and rear fenders have been redesigned with plastic wheel arch extensions and side skirts trimmed and overcooked. Blocking rear axle installed as desired.

The designers' idea was justified. The car turned out to be at least interesting. The mere sight of the car instantly attracts curious glances. And on the freeway, the pickup is able to move with cruising speed 90-100 km / h. Despite the fact that this is not the limit. Such restrictions are dictated by the safety of traffic, since it is not recommended to develop a higher speed on all-terrain tires, in order to avoid an emergency situation.
