For more than 30 years, Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant has been producing tractors of the YuMZ-6 series. In times Soviet Union these machines have earned a reputation as the finest in the country. To this day, the YuMZ-6 tractor retains its position, despite the widespread use of imported equipment.
Tractor YuMZ-6: model range
The release ended in 2001. During its work, the former defense plant produced several modifications:
- YuMZ-6L - equipped with a starting diesel engine. These machines became a modification of the previous MTZ-5;
- YUMZ-6AL, 6AM - diesel vehicles with adjustable height and angle of inclination of the steering column, updated brake system;
- YuMZ-6K - modification for industry. There are no attachments for agricultural equipment on the rear of the tractor, while the machine is equipped with attachments for a bulldozer and an excavator. This model replaced the YuMZ-6A. After the latter was removed from production, YuMZ-6K began to be produced in agricultural version;
- YuMZ-6AK - diesel car with improved cab layout and modified hydraulic system.
Models from YuMZ-8070 to YuMZ-8280 are modifications of the previous ones. The YUMZ-80 and YUMZ-82 models are unified and have the same performance characteristics.
Tractor YuMZ: technical characteristics
- YuMZ-6AL, 6AM, 6K, 6AK are equipped with diesel engine D-65, delivering 46 hp. Mechanical 10-speed transmission with reduction gear and wheel arrangement 4K2. Ground clearance 45 cm under the front axle, 64.5 cm under the rear axle.The operating weight is 3.4 tons.
- The YuMZ-80 and YuMZ-82 series are equipped with a four-stroke diesel engine with direct fuel injection of the RM-80.03 and 8045.25.850 type, respectively. Each engine model produces 59 hp. Transmission mechanical 10- or 9-speed with a synchronizer. The ground clearance under the front axle is 45 cm, under the rear axle 65 cm. The operating weight is 3.4 and 3.2 tons. YuMZ tractors have the same dimensions for all models: 4165x1884x2830 mm. The exception is the YUMZ-6KL and 6KM models, whose cabin height reaches 2660 mm.
Design
The tractor body is installed on a semi-frame. The clutch, gearbox and rear axle form the basis of the tractor design.
