Porsche photos. The history of the development of Porsche in models (26 photos)

Probably on this planet there is no enthusiast who would not want to be in his garage, at least onePorsche - no matter, whether he's new or a 20 year old veteran. Or at leastsit behind the wheel this car. Just sports cars german manufacturer have long been a legend. AND the only obstacleis their price.

There is one Porsche model, equippeda little differently. She was preparedand during the period when the company did not have very wealthy clients, namely - in the 60s of the last century. Then the company's marketers decidedto develop perfect combination Model 911 and powerful engine... At the time, Porsche has 4-cylinder enginefrom the legendary 356. It remains to adapt the 911 chassis. And so the Porsche 912 was born - the most available model in the history of the brand. The car was produced in 1965 and in the American market cost almost $ 4,700.

The Porsche 914 is a targa coupe with a very interesting story... The car owes its appearance to 1969.

First of all, this is a coupe, but an unusual concept. The Targa body combines the grace of a convertible with the rigidity of a coupe. In the general sense of the targa, this is the same coupe, but with folding panels that act as a roof and are easily removed. The advantage of this body concept is to maintain the required coupé rigidity. Although it is possible that some consider this body type to be a kind of convertible.

First of all, it should be noted that this AW car is the result of cooperation of 2 AW car companies, Volkswagen and Porsche... For its release, I even had to create a VW company Porsche... Two companies benefited from this deal, but we will not delve into this, but let's talk about AWT. The body design was strikingly different from the 911 generation that hit the market at that time. The round design gave way to the more modern rectangular design at that time, although hints of the former were still traced in some places. In front, the two-seater AW car has got ultra-fashionable opening headlights, which in the closed position hid in square cavities. In profile, the car looked great.

Porsche began experimenting with turbocharging technology in the late 1960s, and in 1972 developed a version of the 911 with a similar engine. The new car was originally designed for legal street racing, as was the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS. Porsche then decided to create a 911 variant with the best possible trim, which could compete with the more expensive and exclusive Ferrari and Lamborghini than the standard 911. New car became the platform for the 934 and 935 racing models. At this time Ferdinand Porsche leaves the company and development passes to Ernst Fuhrmann ( Ernst Fuhrmann), which adapted the 917/30 turbocharging technology for the 3.0-liter Carrera RS 3.0 engine, which received the index Porsche 930. Engine power was more than the standard Carrera - 260 hp. from. (191 kW). Due to the significant increase in power, the suspension, brakes and gearbox have been revised. Some buyers were unhappy with the 4-speed manual transmission, while the Carrera had 5-speed manual transmissions. Also installed rear spoilers " Whale-Tail"For the best air cooling rear engine and increased downforce to the rear of the machine, wider rear wheels and 911 grip for better stability.

The Porsche 928 is one of the most luxurious and elegant coupes from this German firm, produced in the late 70s. The production of the model, however, lasted almost 20 years - from 1977 to 1995. This car became direct proof that Stuttgart manufacturers are able to make more than just rear-engine units.

Briefly about the history of the First
In fact, I would like to note that the Porsche 928 was supposed to be released back in 1971, that is, six years earlier than it happened. Indeed, in the late sixties, the company's management wanted to remove from the assembly line such a legendary model as the 911th Porsche! It was believed that this car had already exhausted its resources, and the rear-engine design had no right to exist. But then they decided to leave this venture for the time being and start developing a classic version of the car.

To create the body panels of the Porsche 928, a special galvanized steel was used in the production. However, the bonnet, doors and front fenders were made of pure aluminum. Thanks to this, the weight of the compartment was kept to a minimum. In particular, this model is a full quarter of a ton lighter than all its competitors, which are the Ferrari 400 and Jaguar XJ-S”. And also the company "Porsche" gave a guarantee for the body for a period of seven years. This was proof that the machine was reliable, as the panels are galvanized on both sides.

The Porsche 924 once broke the record for the number of sales. But still, from the 70s, interest in this model began to subside. P
therefore, the company started looking for a new concept under the leadership of Peter Schulz. At the time, Porsche was developing new engine for turbo 924.
At the same time, instead of an engine with 4 cylinders, they wanted to put it in a row with a 6, which, unfortunately, due to its size, did not fit under the hood of the car. Therefore, the Porsche 944 began to install a motor from the 928th model. It was a 2,400 liter aluminum alloy engine. Such a unit eliminated the defects of the 924th model using two shafts. They compensated for vibrations and ensured a calm and smooth movement.

Hybrid version of the hatchback will premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October 2016 Porsche panamera 4 E-Hybrid 2017. You can already order a new product in Russia.

Specifications
ki. The car is driven by a hybrid installation, which includes a 2.9-liter gasoline internal combustion engine with a double supercharging capacity of 330 hp. and 450 Nm of torque, a 136-horsepower electric motor (400 Nm) and a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 14.1 kWh.
Total power power plant is 462 horse power (700 Nm). The new 2017 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds. Maximum speed new items is 278 km / h. Average fuel consumption in hybrid mode is just 2.5 liters per 100 kilometers. The vehicle can travel up to 50 km exclusively on electric traction.

Porsche and its turbochargers were a bit of a controversial subject late, but we'll leave that alone here.Whatever the purpose of your point of view, you will know that since 1975 it has been possible to buy a 911 with forced induction.Since then, Turbo has been ranked # 1 in the 911 proving grounds.

And while there are more turbocharged 911s on the spot these days, the big-T Turbo remains the pinnacle of the 911, and this S model is the cherry on top of that. The Turbo S has matured to produce some insane performance figures over the years. To give you an idea, the 1975 Porsche 3.0 930 Turbo put out 257bhp and hit 0-62mph in 5.5sec.Today the S bounce off 572bhp and bursts up to 62mph from rest in just 2.9sec.
For 2016, the 3.8-liter flat-six turbo gets modified intake ports in its cylinder heads, new injectors and higher fuel pressure, all to help it deliver.
make 20bhp more than it used to be.
The S then gets new turbochargers to give it an extra 40bhp of power over the "standard" Turbo.

There was a post in 2010
Roen concept of this model and even then the car had impressive characteristics, the manufacturer began to test it for further launch on sale. In the same year, the concept car was shown to the public at the motor show at the Geneva Motor Show.

This car was supposed to go on sale in 2013 and it was planned to produce 918 cars, but back in 2012, this car received just over 1000 pre-orders, and some customers did not receive their cars.

The German-made sports car model became the third ready-made product for the company in its history. True, it can easily be called the second due to the fact that the 550th model is not enough for a full-fledged car
who calls it, perhaps just good vehicle, together with which it was possible to participate in races in the 50s.

But the first car produced by auto dealers from Porsche was the 356th model, which, in fact, was replaced by the 911 after a decade and a half. "356" is a car with two doors, which belongs to the class of sports cars. The 911 (also a two-door) is now available as a coupe, convertible and targa.

The first generation model was released in 2009. Sports fastback became popular very quickly, not least thanks to the company's marketing policy. The car got its name thanks to the successful performances of Porsche in the Carrera Panamericana races. It should be noted that this would be a very good move, since already before 2010, 26,000 cars were successfully sold, and this is taking into account their high cost.

In mid-2013, the developers slightly modernized the model, and even then it became clear that the release of the second generation was not far off.

And it really happened. In the summer of 2016, the public saw a photo of an improved model of the Porsche Panamera 2017. A few days later, the official presentation of the car took place in Berlin.

As predicted in advance, the car gained a lot of popularity and certainly did not spoil the reputation of its manufacturers. Many motorists from all over the world immediately acquired a new model and, what is most interesting, neither from the words of experts nor from the words of ordinary owners, strong criticism was heard. And this fact, without a doubt, means a lot.

As a premium car manufacturer, Porsche has always focused on SUVs. Entrepreneurs from many countries are willing to fork out to get luxury and high cross-country ability in one bottle, for this reason Porsche's off-road direction is up to the mark.

For the Macan SUV 2016-2017 model year, it was not necessary to come up with anything particularly new, except to emphasize the sporty essence and make some changes to the optics.

The new version of the Porsche Macan gained official status at the recently completed New York Auto Show. The developers did not flirt with the richness of the choice of the power plant, offering a single engine, with modest but sufficient power capabilities. At the same time, the price has become somewhat lower than that of its brothers in the line.

In 2017, the market will have new porsche Cayenne 2017, which should be the fastest crossover in the world. The new model will receive a V8 engine with 550 hp. and will be built on a Volkswagen modular platform. The first spy photos of the salon appeared on the Internet. It can be seen from them that the new items will completely change the design of the center console and the tunnel. The upper part of the panel is occupied by an impressive display of the multimedia system. The gearshift lever has become electronic, the audio control unit has changed, and many buttons have become touch-sensitive. The same design is expected for the Panamera hatchback.

On the eve of the premiere of the new generation, the German automaker Porsche has distributed a photo of the Platinum Edition, for which orders have already begun. According to the developers, the novelty will be able to accelerate to a speed of 300 kilometers per hour. Porsche cayenne has always been fast carbut new model must surpass all its predecessors, becoming the most dynamic car of this class in the world. The novelty is made using aluminum and composite materials, which significantly reduced the weight of a full-size car. The curb weight of the Porsche Cayenne in the most charged version will be 1,995 kilograms. New car It is equipped not only with powerful engines, but also with a hybrid installation, which will significantly reduce fuel consumption without losing the dynamic characteristics of the crossover.

On September 3, 1875, Ferdinand Porsche, a talented engineer and founder of one of the most famous auto companies, was born. The brand he created is still a success. On this occasion, we recall the 10 most iconic Porsche models.

Porsche 911

In 1963, the first Porsche 911 was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show. During its half-century history, this car has changed several generations and is currently being produced for the seventh in a row. The Porsche 911 replaced the 356 and has become a true legend in the sports car world.

Of course, the highlight of the car was the rear-engined layout in conjunction with the rear or four-wheel drive... This engineering solution makes the car very unusual to drive. Today, the Porsche 911 is the most massive sports car in the world.

Porsche 356

The Porsche 356 was the first car built by Ferdinand Porsche at the company of the same name. This model became the prototype of all subsequent developments of the company, since it combined a rear-engine and rear-wheel drive configuration. The Porsche 356 was produced with a hard top and a convertible body.

In total, about 76 thousand copies of the Porsche 356 were produced. But among them, the only one stands out. In 1950, the unique Porsche 356 Coupe "Ferdinand" was built for the 75th anniversary of Ferdinand Porsche. On September 3, 1950, this car was presented to the hero of the day during a ceremony.

Porsche 911 Carrera

1968 saw the release of the first Porsche 911 with the Carrera index. The word Carrera originally referred to the Carrera Panamericana race, in which the crews of the Porsche team won. This success made the brand successful in North America.

Today, Porsche 911 cars in the Carrera version continue to be popular both in the usual factory version and after modifications in various tuning studios.

Porsche 928

The Porsche 928 was the first model to be developed under a non-Porsche executive. The company was headed by Ernst Fuermann, thanks to whom the first front-engined Porsche car appeared on the assembly line. Interestingly, he received the prestigious title "European Car of the Year 1978"

Among all the Porsche 928s produced, the prototype Porsche 928-4 stands out. This exclusive four-seater was donated by Ferry Porsche for his 75th anniversary in 1984. In 1987, this prototype was redesigned, changing the front and adding rear doors.

Porsche Carrera GT

The Porsche Carrera GT has become one of the iconic models in lineup companies. Production of this mid-engined sports car began in 2003 and lasted for two years.

A total of 1270 Porsche Carrera GT cars were produced out of 1500 planned. Thanks to the 5.7-liter V10 engine, the sports car accelerates to the first hundred in 3.9 seconds, and the top speed is 330 km / h.

Porsche 911 GT3

The Porsche 911 GT3 has become an amateur racing car. The sports car had a lightweight body and a lowered suspension. The cabin also lacked rear seats.

In 2010, a hybrid version of the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid was launched. Besides the 4-liter gasoline engine, the novelty was equipped with two electric motors of 60 kW each. Thus, the car demonstrated high dynamic characteristics with moderate fuel consumption.

Porsche cayenne

When Porsche announced its intention to launch the Cayenne SUV, many were skeptical about the initiative. However, suddenly the car started selling at a record pace. Today, this model accounts for half of the company's revenue.

The very expressive Porsche Cayenne is also in demand among the tuning studio. True, trying to make it even more unique appearance this car, many firms cross the line. This is how the monstrous Cayenne is born. For example, as shown in the photo Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS.

Porsche boxster

In 1996, the central-engined Porsche Boxster roadster went on sale. A feature of the novelty was that it was originally developed as an open-body version. This compact sports car had a low cost, which made it well received in the markets around the world.

Porsche panamera

In April 2009, the five-door Porsche Panamera was officially unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show. This sporty fastback of the Gran Turismo class received a front-engined layout, as well as rear or all-wheel drive.

Porsche Panamera sales in Russia began in September 2009. The price of the new item started at 4.3 million rubles for the basic version. Top modifications more than doubled the price.

Porsche cayman

The Porsche Cayman is a two-door coupe based on the Boxster model. The car has been produced from 2005 to the present day.

In addition to the regular version, several modifications of the Porsche Cayman can be found on sale: Porsche Cayman S and Porsche Cayman R. Several limited editions were also produced.
