Next, look under the hood. There are three nuts in front of your eyes that attach the support to the body. They must be unscrewed consistently and carefully, holding the stand so that it does not fall in any way. All work is done using a 13 wrench. After unscrewing the nuts, we take out the rack.

We take ties for the springs and install them on the spring, always opposite each other. After that, turn the tie screws evenly until the spring dangles. When it stops pressing on the support cups, using a 22 wrench, unscrew the stem nuts. When the nuts are unscrewed, the rack itself can be disassembled. We take out the strut support together with the bearing, remove the metal cup and damper. There remains a spring and a boot with a bump stop.

Installing a rack on a car

When you have completed all the necessary steps, attach all the parts in reverse order. During this procedure, observe the position of the upper rack.

A special arrow is drawn on it, which, after you have completed all the necessary actions, should be directed towards the future movement of the car.

Extend and push in the rod several times by hand in order to make sure that the shock absorbers are in full serviceability, and in case of a malfunction, replace it as well.

So, first of all, you need to open the hood of the car and at the moment when the car is still on the wheels, loosen the nut securing the upper support. At this moment, it is necessary to keep the stem from turning with a 9 mm wrench.

Disengage the brake hose and then apply penetrating grease to all screw connections that need to be loosened.

Using pliers, bend and pull the cotter pin out of the steering end pin. Unscrew the nut using a 19 mm wrench, as shown in the picture below.

Using a special puller, or using a hammer and pry bar, release the finger from the pivot arm of the rack.

After that, using the heads and knobs, unscrew the two nuts securing the rack to the steering knuckle of the front suspension Grants.

Of course, with back side it will be necessary to keep the bolts from turning.

If the bolts have not been loosened for a long time, then it will not be so easy to knock them out. But with a sufficiently strong effort, as well as the presence of a breakdown and a hammer, all this will be possible.
