Not all competitors can come close to such numbers. Acceleration to hundreds in 8.4 seconds. impressive ... This is ideal for the city and for the highway.

Well, the 1.8TSI engine became the most powerful and fastest. This "beast" produces 180 liters. from. and has a diesel traction of 250 Nm, and it is available from the very bottom - from 1250 rpm! 7.3 sec. up to 100 km / h! With him, you can leave behind all the assorted bully at traffic lights. In addition, all these engines are not only powerful and high-torque, but also very economical - gasoline consumption does not exceed 6.4 liters when driving in a combined cycle.

The 2-liter, 143-horsepower turbodiesel is also a bit apart. It just has a huge torque of 320 Nm, and it delivers maximum thrust in the optimal operating range - from 1750 to 3000 rpm. Fuel consumption is surprisingly low - only 5 liters in the city-highway cycle. Nevertheless, in spite of the fact that it consumes "diesel fuel", with acceleration up to a hundred in 8.9 seconds. such an engine will leave behind many "gasoline workers".

Gearbox, suspension and drive:

The number of gears in the manual transmission varies - if the weakest version with a 1.2 TSI engine has a 5-speed gearbox, then all other gasoline modifications are equipped with MT with 6 gears. What is most interesting - manual transmission is not provided for diesel engines at all.

DSGs can also be different - gasoline models are equipped with a 7-band box, while only a 6-band is available for a turbodiesel.

  • Such a variety of choices, of course, cannot but rejoice, but for the owner, this abundance can turn into considerable expenses. If to manual transmission questions almost never arise, then there are more than enough of them in relation to preselective transmissions. When driving for a long time, the box heats up, jerks and jerks appear when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear. In addition, this type of gearbox is extremely expensive to repair due to the complexity of the design and relative novelty. Therefore, when purchasing a car with DSG, service must be carried out exclusively at the dealer and not "fly away" from the warranty.

Interior:

The salon is made in German soundly and efficiently. As in the exterior, officialdom prevails in the interior. Today we will look into the causes of most A5 and A7 faults and learn how to quickly find the source of the problem.

Electrician

One of the most sensational and frequent problems with A5 and A7 owners is an airbag error that occurs, on average, on every second car plowing through the roads. An airbag error occurs when the car often drives in humid climates, or has some defect in a part supplied from the factory.

An error in the security system on Octavia can manifest itself in the form of a corresponding warning lightlocated on the dashboard. As a rule, errors in the operation of one or another airbag sensor occur already at the start of the engine - when the ECU checks all the electronics and internal intelligence.

The engine is part of the EA211 powertrain series, which replaced the EA111 series. 1.4 TSI EA211, unlike its predecessor, has an aluminum block with cast iron liners, the cylinder diameter has been reduced by 2.0 mm. up to 74.5 mm .. Crankshaft became lighter, the piston stroke is 80.0 mm. The cylinder head has 16 valves, two camshafts... Unlike 1.4 TSI EA111, the exhaust manifold, which is integrated into the cylinder head itself, is now located at the back. On engine versions 140-150 hp phase shifters are located both at the inlet and outlet (not to be confused with the 122 hp version, in which the phase shifter is located only at the inlet). A belt is used as a drive, the replacement interval of which is 70-90 thousand km.

Of typical problems all gasoline engines can be noted replacement on the early runs of the thermostat. Cases of failure of the turbine actuator (turbocharger regulator) are not uncommon.
