Museum of retro cars "Autoville" on Frunzenskaya. Museum of retro cars "Autoville" on Frunzenskaya Museum of Automotive History

The Autoville Museum in Moscow is far from the only museum retro carMoreover, it is not even the only private museum, where classic models of the world automobile industry are presented. Expensive cars and a private collector is, like Chip and Dale, like a fork and a spoon, inseparable phenomena. This Moscow museum is expensive and beautiful at the same time. And its exhibits, of course, are real masterpieces of engineering and design art. They are the pillars of the consumer society, enchanting, like sirens, the inhabitants of various tightness of wallets. They fulfilled this task at the time of their creation, and now they are fulfilling it even more.

Turn the torso to the left:

Do you see the trees growing there? So this is the park. You will have to go along it. About 7 minutes. Walk past the entire park and you will see a building at the very first intersection:

It also says that this is the Moskvich restaurant. So, this is "Autoville". Just in case, its address is Usacheva Street, Building 2, Building 1.

But, in fact, the exposition line - selected oldtimers, a bunch of old cars!

The famous hippiemobile from Volkswagen:

Shredding giants - the war has made cheap clunker manufacturers equal to BMW and even Messerschmidt! Both those and others did not begin to make statements in the style of "Vorobyaninov has never held out his hands before!", But simply took and began to make cheap cars. And this saved the Bavarians.

Retired supercars, bottom view:

In the vintage car museum, of course, sports cars are the highlight of the program.

And this is a whole series of "Bugatti". In the background, the grand 57C Atlantic is modestly housed.

Rolls-Royce Phantom of a healthy person:

Made at the beginning of the century, but solid as ever:

There is also a tarantass, which the Flintstones family probably also drove:

People's car. One man with a mustache under Chaplin promised that every German would drive a Volkswagen. And he kept his promise! The infantry was taken to die on them, only, of course, not in such a civilized version as this one:

Another person who developed this civilized version was not so popular and made cars only for the elite:

Previously, it was called the "Museum of Carriages and Cars" and worked under the auspices of the magazine "Auto Review" Now supported by enthusiasts, it has no private or public funding. Needs sponsors.

The exposition is a unique collection of relics of the industrial era (and in essence, technology that has served its life), among which there are not so many cars at the present time, apparently, as before. Most of the cars are not in a covered hangar, but around it in the open air. But in general, all these bicycles, motorcycles, radios, computers and ... - what is not there ... - create an amazing mood of good nostalgia, meeting with a familiar and beloved past.

Where is: South-Eastern District of Moscow, the territory adjacent to the Kuzminki Park.

How to get there:
If you arrive by car, then the car can be left in the parking lot near the entrance to the park.

From st. Metro Kuzminki take longer, but most of the way is through the park.

Collections and exhibitions vintage cars - not uncommon in modern worldbut Autoville is a special place. This is a large cultural center that unites lovers of automotive technology and fans of antiquity. In addition to an extensive exposition of vintage cars, many of which are unique, there is a restaurant, a cafe and a shop, united automotive, a library of literature on the history of automotive engineering, a children's design center and much more. “Autoville” is a place where car lovers can not only admire the patriarchs of the automotive industry and learn a lot about them, but also have a versatile rest.

Museum "Autoville" is located on two tiers. The collection contains more than 50 cars of various years of production from different countries the world. The unusual and spectacular cars have been completely restored, they are in perfect condition and on the move, many of them regularly take part in vintage car parades and retro rallies. The collection of the museum is constantly growing, and its exposition clearly demonstrates that a car is not just a means of transportation, but also a kind of work of art.

The oldest and most spectacular exhibit in the museum is a 1907 Darrack car, which looks more like a carriage with an engine than modern cars... Its sophisticated design, with embossed leather seats and an abundance of gleaming copper, is a striking example of Victorian aesthetics. Despite the low engine power (only 18 l / s), Darrack was able to reach speeds of up to 80 km / h.

Many of the cars on display at the museum are limited edition models. This category includes the 1936 Cadillac 452 (V16) Roadster (the first car with a 16-cylinder engine), which was produced in only 3 copies, and the scarlet two-seater Mercedes-Benz 540K of the same year (25 produced). The impressive Rolls-Royce Phantom II and the racing Mercedes-Benz 300SL with original gullwing doors are of great interest. There are also patriarchs of the domestic automotive industry - "ZIS-110" and "Moskvich 401". And in the collection of the Museum "Autoville" you can see the first car of Vladimir Putin - a white "hunchbacked" Zaporozhets, which in 1972 the president's mother won the lottery. The museum conducts exciting thematic excursions in Russian and English.

The cultural complex "Avtoville" has all the conditions for a comfortable stay. Here you can have a snack at the Moskvich restaurant or the Volga cafe, buy baseball caps with the logos of famous car companies and original souvenirs at the Chaika boutique.

The cost of visiting the museum is 300 rubles (adults) and 100 rubles (students). For children under 6 years old, pensioners and disabled people, admission is free.

History

In 2003 Dmitry Oktyabrsky founded a museum of vintage cars on Rogozhsky Val street. By 2005, the museum's collection consisted of about 17 exhibits. In April 2016, the building passed into the ownership of Mosgortrans, then they decided to rename the museum to "Moscow Transport", as well as add to the existing collection.

The museum does not show only tram cars... As a rule, there is no permanent collection in the museum. This is because it is regularly updated and replenished.

An interesting fact is that the room in which the museum is now located is the building of a plant that once produced cars. When work at the plant stopped, the building became empty. It was here that the collection of vehicles began to be displayed.

The exposition of the Moscow Transport Museum constantly participates in various exhibitions and festivals. In 2016, on the City of Moscow Day, the cars of this museum were exhibited at the parade of urban technology, and in 2017 the buses and trolleybuses of the museum were demonstrated at the International Salon of Innovations "Urban Transport", which takes place at VDNKh.

In addition, temporary exhibitions are organized in the museum itself. So, in October 2017, an exhibition was held here domestic cars "Volga", where samples of GAZ-21 and other vehicles of the mid-20th century were shown.
