Pinout of mounting blocks for vaz cars. Mounting block The fuse box of the VAZ 2109 does not work

Hello everyone today I want to consider the fuse box of the old and new model on a VAZ 2109 car in the common people is just nine. If you have something out of order on the nine that works on electricity, then the first thing to do is check the mounting block. Or rather, the fuse may have blown out and should be replaced. We remind you that when replacing a fuse with a new one, you must always observe the amperage.

The fuse box on the nine is located under the hood on the left side, more precisely on the driver's side, in order to get to it, as you already understood, you need to open the hood. Below you can see the decoding of the fuses and relays of the VAZ 2109 car.

Old cars VAZ 2109 are equipped with fuse blocks, the marking of which is 17.3722. This PSU consists of a case and an engineering board. Wire contacts, fuses and relays are soldered to the board.
Newer versions of nines, the release of which began in 1998, here the BP is marked 2114-3722010-60. Here we see fuses already.

Well, that's all we examined the pinout and decoding of the fuse box on a VAZ 2109 car. I would also like to note that in most cases there is almost always a fuse and relay circuit on the case or on the cover of the mounting block, so I think it will not be difficult to figure this out. Goodbye to everyone.

Most of the fuses and auxiliary relays are located in a separate mounting block () installed in the air intake box on the left side of the vehicle. Wires are connected through the mounting block engine compartment with wires of the instrument panel and the car interior. The location of the blocks and the conventional numbers of the plugs in the connecting blocks of the mounting block are indicated on and. The wiring diagram of the mounting block is shown on.

Since 1998, a mounting block 2114-3722010 (in different configurations) with pin headers in different configurations has been installed on VAZ-2108 vehicles. The new mounting block differs from the old one (type 17.3722) in the designation of fuses, relays (see, and Table 7.1) and connectors (letter X instead of Ш), as well as in the absence of a rear window washer time relay and a relay for turning on the engine cooling fan motor. The new mounting block is practically interchangeable with the old one. Special features are only available in the connection of the headlight cleaners and the engine cooling fan motor. These features are indicated below in the respective chapters.

Repair of the mounting block consists mainly of replacing printed circuit boards. Soldering of wires is allowed instead of burned-out current-carrying tracks on printed circuit boards, but only if this does not require disconnecting the printed circuit boards.

Table 7.1. Chains protected fuses

Disassembly and assembly. Disassemble the mounting block for replacement or repair of printed circuit boards in the following order:

Remove the cover and take out the relays, jumpers and fuses from the sockets of the mounting block;

Unscrew the fastening screws and remove the upper half of the mounting block case;

Remove the PCB assembly from the bottom half of the housing.

Assemble the mounting block in the reverse order of disassembly.

Electric motors of gear motors (windshield wipers, rear window (VAZ-2108, -2109), headlights - if installed) are protected by automatic reusable bimetallic fuses. The power supply circuit of the injection system (engine -2111) is protected by a fuse-link made of a wire with a conductor of reduced cross-section (1 mm2). Charge circuits not protected battery, ignition ( carburetor engines), starting the engine, the "generator - ignition switch - mounting block" circuit. Powerful consumers (starter, headlights, cooling fan motor, electric gasoline pump, etc.) are connected via a relay.

Since 1998, instead of block 17.3722, mounting blocks 2114-3722010-60 or 2114-3722010-10, 2114-3722010-18 with blade fuses have been installed on some cars. The new units differ from the old ones in the rating and designation of fuses, designation of relays and connectors (letter X instead of Ш), as well as the absence of a rear window washer time relay and an engine cooling fan motor relay (a new type of sensor switch is installed on these vehicles, its contacts are designed for a high current, so the need for a relay has disappeared). To distinguish the block 2114-3722010-60 for the VAZ-2108 family (resistors and a diode are included in the generator excitation winding power circuit) from an externally similar block for the VAZ-2115, it has a white mark near the XII connector.

Until 1986, the fog lamps in the taillights and the fog lamp were protected by fuse 15 on the mounting block. Since 1986 they have been protected by a separate fuse located in the wiring harness near the fog light switch. This fuse is rated for 8 A and is housed in a separate plastic case.

Diagram and location of fuses in the fuse box VAZ-2109, 2108 and 21099

The fuse box on the VAZ-2109 is located under the hood and looks like this:

We attach the same arrangement of fuses and relays in the block:

Fuse mounting block 2114-3722010-60

Fuse mounting block 2114-3722010-18

Fuse mounting block 17.3722

Please note that fuse for rear PTF VAZ-2109 and 2108 located separately from the unit, to the left of the driver's seat under the panel.

And here is the decoding of the values \u200b\u200bof the fuses VAZ-2109, 2108 and 21099:

Vaz 2109 fuse box.

In most cases, in a VAZ 2109 car, all electrical circuits are protected by reusable fuses. In order to avoid their searches throughout the car, the engineers of AvtoVAZ invented and put into action a fuse box, which is located under the hood in the closest part to the driver. Over the decades, it turned out that the place was not well thought out, so motorists began to have questions about this block.

Firstly, in most cases, the fuse box simply floods and either it burns out, or the contacts begin to oxidize. Secondly, in order to replace a blown fuse, the driver has to open the hood and leave the car in the fierce Siberian frost. On this occasion, the engineers corrected only in 10 Vaza models. The fuse box VAZ 2110 is located in the passenger compartment from the bottom near the driver's left hand, which gives him a number of advantages:

  1. It is not possible to fill it.
  2. Oxidation occurs to a lesser extent due to the minimal temperature drop.
  3. Ease of replacing a blown fuse.

If you went to go to where the stove relay is located on the VAZ 2109, then I want to upset you. The stove relay does not exist, there is an ignition relay with which the VAZ 2109 stove is connected.

Fuse box VAZ 2109 2108 21099

Most electrical circuits are protected by fuses. Electric motors of gear motors (windshield wipers, rear window (VAZ-2108, -2109), headlights - if installed) are protected by automatic reusable bimetallic fuses. The power supply circuit of the injection system (engine 2111) is protected by a fuse made of a wire with a conductor of reduced cross-section (1 mm2). The circuits for charging the storage battery, ignition (carburetor engines), starting the engine, the “generator - ignition switch - mounting block” circuit are not protected. Powerful consumers (starter, headlights, cooling fan motor, electric gasoline pump, etc.) are connected via a relay.

Mounting block with fuses for a VAZ 2109 (diagram)

Fuse blocks installed on old and updated versions VAZ 2109 cars, serve to combine all electrical wiring.

The main task of the power supply unit is to prevent breakdowns of electrical equipment installed in the car.

Schemes

The entire line of VAZ 2109 cars can be conditionally divided into two branches - produced before 1998 and produced after 1998.

Older cars are equipped with fuse boxes marked 17.3722. This PSU consists of a case and an engineering board. Wire contacts, fuses and relays are soldered to the board.

The desired mounting block is also located the same everywhere - in engine compartment opposite the driver's seat almost under the windshield itself.

Location

Differences

Are there differences between the old and new versions of the PSU? Of course. They are as follows:

  • The parts of the mounting block are marked differently;
  • The fuse rating is different;
  • The new PSU does not have a cooling fan motor relay and a rear window washer time relay.

Old-style power supply unit

First of all, consider the old-style power supply units, which are still quite often found on VAZ 2109 cars. Moreover, as we have already said, both with injection and carburetor engines.

It is necessary not only to understand the location of one or another fuse, relay, but also to know how to replace a failed element.

Dismantling and replacement

If your equipment is out of order, you must first check the condition of the fuse responsible for it.

In practice, it is not difficult to remove and remove an unusable fuse or relay. To do this, you need:

  • Raise the hood and disconnect the minus from the battery. Since you are working with the fuse box responsible for electrical equipment, the car should not be energized at this moment;
  • Find the mounting block. It is located in the engine compartment opposite the driver's seat directly under the windshield. The block is closed from above with a plastic cover. To remove it, simply squeeze the latches on the sides;
  • Remove the cover and look at the reverse side. There is an electrical diagram showing the location of this or that fuse, relay. Just find the element that is responsible for the failed equipment according to the tables above;
  • Remove the fuse. All mounting blocks are provided with special pliers. Removing fuses manually is not recommended. The relays are removed by small wiggles up and down;
  • Replace the defective component.

Fuse failure is detected by the melted filament. These are fusible elements that melt and close contacts, preventing equipment from being damaged by excessive voltage.

That's all, it remains only to replace the element of the fuse box, close the cover, put the battery terminal back in place and check the operation of the equipment.

The relay and fuse box in the VAZ 2108-09-099 (carburetor, injector) is located under the hood, in the compartment in front of the windshield on the left side.
