Right choice and the rational use of operating materials largely determine the reliability and durability of equipment, the cost of its maintenance and repair. The wrong choice of engine oil can lead to shortened engine life at best, to engine failure at worst.
The choice and proper use of oil is often complicated by the fact that the technical documentation for some machines provides for a large number of brands of lubricants. Therefore, their unification and the use of substitutes can be of great importance to simplify the operation of automotive equipment.
The car has a large number of components and mechanisms where greases are used, the variety of which also implies their competent use.
The choice of lubricants is more High Quality than required leads to an unjustified increase in costs. The use of the same material with more low qualities inevitably leads to a reduction in the life of the car and an overrun of the material itself.

5. SELECTION OF LUBRICANTS
Oils M-8-G 2 and M-10-G 2 used accordingly inas winter and summer for highly accelerated diesel engines. They contain compositions of additives (detergent, antioxidant, anti-corrosion and anti-foam) in an amount of 7 to 12%.
Transmission oil TM-3-18 (TAP-15V) all-weather oil for spur, spiral bevel and worm gears. Used at temperatures up to -25 C.
Brake fluid"Neva" has a boiling point of 190 ° C, is operational up to a temperature of 50 ° C, the color is yellow.
Antifreeze A concentrated ethylene glycol with additives. To obtain antifreeze grades 40 or 65, it must be dissolved in the appropriate amount of distilled water, the pour point is -40 and -65, respectively C.
Grease Litol-24 multi-purpose anti-friction grease, operable in conditions of high humidity, thickened with lithium soaps, operable in the range from -40 to 130 C, prepared with petroleum oil.
Mark ""R"" for hydrostatic transmissions, systems of hydraulic strengthening of steering wheels of cars, hydraulic control machines. When adding 15% diesel fuel, it provides free starting of equipment up to -55 C.

7. Physical and chemical properties of gear oils
The operating conditions of transmission oils differ from engine oils in the following:
gears operate under conditions of boundary friction;
they must remain operational at temperatures from 50 to 50 ° C;
their run time is longer;
they must reduce vibration and noise levels.
Gears operate with high specific pressures at the points of contact of the teeth (6001200 MPa, and in hypoid gears up to 4000 MPa), high sliding speeds of rubbing surfaces (310 m/s, in hypoid and worm gearboxes up to 20 m/s) and high, about 300800 °C, temperatures at the points of contact of the gears. The oil temperature in the transmission units reaches 120150 °С. Under these conditions, the regime of boundary friction is most often observed. Therefore, gear oils must have high anti-wear and extreme pressure properties, therefore they contain a significant amount of natural surfactant resins and special anti-wear and extreme pressure additives.
The lower temperature limit for the use of gear oils ensures that the machine starts off and the subsequent shift to higher gears without preheating the oil in the units. In summer, in the heat, the temperature in the transmission crankcases reaches its maximum values, which predetermines the choice of the minimum allowable viscosity oil that does not cause it to leak through leaks.
In addition, gear oils must have good anti-corrosion properties and form a minimum amount of foam, which is decided by the selection of an appropriate oil base and the addition of an additive package.
7.1. Classification of gear oils and their designation
According to GOST 17479.285, gear oils are divided into viscosity classes (Table 3), and depending on the performance properties, they are divided into five groups that determine their area of application (Table 4).

Gear oils have the following viscosity grades: 75 W , SOW , 85W - winter, 90 and 140 - summer, 8 QW -9Q , 85W -95 and 85W -140 all season.
Occurring Oil GL 6 API corresponds to GL 5, but more durable with improved anti-corrosion properties.
Oil grade TAD-17i corresponds to SAE 85 W -90 according to SAE or GL -5 no API .
Promising are synthetic gear oils with a viscosity SAE 75W -90 and quality level API GL 5 (TM-5). These oils are preferred for winter conditions, since they thicken at more low temperatures ah than mineral. Like motor oils, synthetic gear oils have a flat viscosity-temperature curve. To obtain such oils, synthetic hydrocarbon oils, esters of polyhydric alcohols, esters of carboxylic acids, polysiloxane fluids and other high-tech components are used. Typically, synthetic oil has a viscosity of 7.1 mm 2 /s at a temperature of 100 °C, 22 Pa s at a temperature of 40 °C, and a flash point of 230°С, pour point 57 °C.
Synthetic oil can be enough for the entire life of the car, provided there are no leaks through leaks. A deterrent to widespread use synthetic oils is their high cost.
In table. 7 shows recommendations for the use of gear oils depending on their purpose and temperature environment, and in table. 6 gives recommendations on the use of gear oils, taking into account extremely low operating temperatures.

Reliable operation of the engine and its compliance with environmental requirements is guaranteed if the fuels, oils and special fluids prescribed by the manufacturer are used.
DIESEL FUEL
For the operation of KAMAZ engines of Euro-2 and Euro-3 levels, it is necessary to apply diesel fuel, which meets the requirements of GOST R 52368-2005 and the EN 590 standard adopted by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
The seasonality of fuel use in the regions of the Russian Federation is regulated by Annex G GOST R 52368-2005.

Depending on the operating conditions, the use of engine oils of the following SAE viscosity grades is recommended:

SAE 15W-40 all season in temperate climates;
SAE 5W-40, 5W-30 all season in cold climates;
SAE 20 for seasonal service in the temperate climate zone (in the autumn-winter period);
SAE 30, 40 when operating in a temperate climate zone (during the spring-summer period) or as the main brand in areas with a hot climate.
COOLANT LIQUIDS
Coolant is a balanced mixture of antifreeze and water. The presence of antifreeze allows you to expand the operating temperature range by lowering the freezing point and raising the boiling point of the coolant. Antifreeze additives protect the engine cooling system from cavitation corrosion. Coolant is a finished product.
Ethylene glycol-based coolants are approved for operation of KAMAZ engines. The list of coolants approved for operation in the cooling system of KAMAZ engines is given in Table E. 1.
The use of coolants is mandatory in all climatic zones. In the temperate climate zone, it is recommended to use coolants with an antifreeze concentration of 40% (OJ-40 Lena, Tosol-A40M, Cool Stream Standard 40, etc.). In a cold climate zone, it is recommended to use coolants with an antifreeze concentration of 65% (OJ-65 Lena, Tosol-A65M, etc.).
During operation, it is necessary to monitor the density of the coolant. So, the density of the coolant at a temperature of 20 0 C should be:
OZH-40 "Lena" - (1.075 - 1.085) g / cm 3;
- "Cool Stream Standard 40" - (1.068 - 1.070) g / cm 3;
- "Tosol-A40M" - (1.078 - 1.085) g / cm 3;
OZH-65 "Lena" and "Tosol-A65M" - (1.085-1.1) g / cm 3;
- "NKNKH-A40M" - (1.078 - 1.085) g / cm 3.
If the density of the coolant is below the minimum allowable value, it is necessary to replace the liquid. If a coolant concentrate from the same manufacturer is available, the density of the coolant can be corrected.
If the density of the coolant is higher than the maximum permissible value, the density of the coolant must be corrected using demineralized water.

INTRODUCTION
"Regulations on the maintenance and repair of rolling stock of road transport" contains the basic principles of maintenance and repair, and also includes standards technical operation cars of the ZIL-431410 family.
The development of standards is based on the results of joint work on the study of operational reliability and maintenance modes for vehicles of the ZiL-431410 family, performed in support motor transport enterprises Minavtotrans of the RSFSR and EPAHakh of the Minavtoselkhozmash of the USSR. The results of the introduction of a number of design and technological measures into the design of ZIL-431410 vehicles aimed at increasing their operational reliability and reducing maintenance and repair costs were also used. The position contains:
Types of maintenance and repair;
Frequency of maintenance;
Norms of mileage of cars and units before the first overhaul;
Norms of circulating units and lists of units, parts and devices recommended for inclusion in the circulating fund;
Lists of maintenance operations;
The complexity of maintenance and current repair;
Distribution of the labor intensity of maintenance and current repairs by types of work and units;
Norms of downtime of vehicles in maintenance and repair;
Chemotological map of lubrication.
This regulatory part of the "Regulations on the maintenance and repair of rolling stock of road transport" is mandatory for all organizations and enterprises located on the territory of the RSFSR, regardless of departmental subordination, operating cars of the ZiL-431410 family and carrying out their maintenance and repair, with the exception of organizations and enterprises Ministry of Defense of the USSR, Committee of State Security of the USSR and Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR.
. GENERAL PROVISIONS
The tractor ZIL-431410 with a base of 3800 (mm) is designed to transport goods on any roads in as part of a road train, in which the total mass of the trailer must not exceed 8000 (kg). Carrying capacity of the ZIL-431410 car at all highways countries is 6000 (kg). Below is a complete list of the main modifications, their purpose and load capacity.

The principles of organizing the production of maintenance and repair at motor transport enterprises, the methods and quantitative values of the adjustment coefficients for the standards for the technical operation of cars of the ZiL-431410 family are established in accordance with the first part of the "Regulations on the maintenance and repair of rolling stock of road transport".
Maintenance of new and overhauled vehicles and units during the break-in period is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the “Operation Manual” of the ZiL software.
Maintenance and repair car tires produced in accordance with the current rules for their operation, approved in the prescribed manner.

Norms of mileage of the ZIL-431410 car and its main units before the first overhaul for planning purposes, thousand km These standards are valid for category 1 operating conditions and the central climatic zone. They are subject to adjustment in motor transport enterprises if the operating conditions differ from those indicated above. The adjustment is made on the basis of the requirements of the relevant section of the first part of the "Regulations on the maintenance and repair of the rolling stock of road transport". The technical and economic criterion that determines the need to send a car for overhaul is the total cost of used spare parts. Overhaul of units provides for disassembly, troubleshooting, restoration and replacement of parts, including the main ones. . NORMS OF TURNOVERAL UNITSThe norms of turnaround units of cars, taking into account their mileage from the beginning of operation and the intensity of use, are given in the table. Smaller values are accepted for cars with annual mileage of 30 - 40 (thousand km), as well as for cars that have not passed overhaul and having runs from the beginning of operation less than 75% of the norms given in the table. Higher values are accepted for intensively used vehicles (annual mileage of more than 50 - 60 (thousand km)) or vehicles that have not undergone major repairs and have mileage from the start of operation of more than 75% of those given in the table, as well as for overhauled vehicles that have at least three main units (in any combination) were replaced with overhauled ones. . Car maintenance involves the use of only those oils and lubricants that are recommended by the car factory.
The service life of the car largely depends on the timely and high-quality lubrication operation, as well as on the grades, quality and purity of the oils used.
The use of oils with additives for linear motors increases the service life of oils (according to the mileage of the car) by about 1.5 times. The use of oils without additives for V-shaped engines is not allowed.
Accurate compliance with all instructions for lubricating vehicles is mandatory. The use of oils and greases not listed in the table, as well as violation of the lubrication periods, are not allowed. In the lubrication tables, along with the main oil, the names of substitute oils are given. The use of substitutes reduces the durability of the units, and also increases the labor costs for their replacement, since their service life in the units is shorter.
Vehicles must be lubricated during maintenance (TO-1 and TO-2) in accordance with the lubrication table.
It is necessary to drain the oil from the units when replacing it immediately after stopping the car, when the units are warmed up. When draining oil,
clean magnets drain plugs. It is impossible to fill cars with cold oil at high viscosity. The oil must be warmed up before filling.
Before lubricating vehicle components through grease fittings, it is necessary to thoroughly clean them of dirt, and after lubrication, all grease that has come out must be removed from the parts.
After overcoming a ford by the car or a long operation in the water, it is necessary to check whether water has entered the units. If water is found in the engine or other units, it is necessary to drain the old oil and fill in new one.

DAILY MAINTENANCE OF ZIL-131 BASIC CHASSIS.
Clean the cab, body compartments, fire fighting equipment and other equipment. Wash and dry the car if necessary.
1. Check:
Inspect the car to identify external damage, check the completeness, check the condition of the cab doors, body, windows, power windows, rear-view mirrors, sun visors, plumage, registration plates, latches and locks of the body doors, frame, springs, tires and wheel fastening.
Correct sealing of the speedometer and hour meter special equipment fire trucks, serviceability of lighting devices, light and sound alarms, incl. special; windshield wipers, washers windshield, heating, ventilation and glass heating systems (during the cold season).

Clean the cabin and body compartments, fire-technical equipment.
Wash and dry the car if necessary.
Clear rearview mirrors, exterior lighting fixtures, special car signaling devices, cab and pump compartment windows, registration plates.
2.1. Check:
2.1.1. Oil level in the engine crankcase.

Check:
Appearance, make sure that there is no deformation of the package of knees, supports, platforms; condition of cables, guide rollers and blocks, cradle (if any).
Check the operability of the hydraulic cylinders of the supports and the blocking of the springs, the ease of movement of the handles of the control valves, their fixation in the neutral position, and the limit switches.
Check the operation of the mechanisms of the ladder: lifting-lowering, turning, extending-shifting, leveling the side slope. Make sure that the control handles are easy to move and securely locked in the neutral position.
Check the serviceability of the remote start and control of the engine.
TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE OF THE VEHICLE ON FIRE, DURING CARRYING OUT EMERGENCY RESCUE AND OTHER EMERGENCY WORKS (EXERCISE).
It is carried out in the scope of the requirements of the manuals (instructions) for the operation of the manufacturer.

Check:
Check the reliability of the installation of the car in place and its safety from the effects of fire.
Check appearance, make sure that there is no deformation of the package of knees, supports, platforms; condition of cables, guide rollers and blocks, cradle (if any).
Start the engine, check the inclusion of the power take-off, control panel.
Check the value of the working pressure in the hydraulic system, the tightness of the pipeline connections, the level of the working fluid in the tank.
Check the operability of the hydraulic cylinders of the supports and the blocking of the springs, the ease of movement of the handles of the control valves, their fixation in the neutral position, limit switches (if any).
Check the operation of light, sound and emergency warning alarms, intercom.
Check the serviceability of the remote start and control of the engine (if any).
When approaching the fire station, check the operation of the clutch, gearbox, transfer case, drive axles, steering, hand and foot brakes while driving. Self-disengagement of gears, as well as knocking and grinding in the gearbox and transfer case are not allowed. The front drive axle should engage and disengage easily without disengaging the clutch at low engine speeds. The foot brake must act simultaneously on all wheels. Full braking occurs with a single press on the brake pedal. Hand brake provides reliable braking of the car on slopes of at least 16%.
Note: Defects identified during the operation of the vehicle, the elimination of which is possible by the driver, are eliminated on the spot, other defects are eliminated upon arrival at the fire station before putting the vehicle into combat crew.
Follow:
2.1. The condition and tension of the fan, generator and engine compressor drive belts.
2.2. The temperature of the water in the engine cooling system. The temperature of the coolant should be 80-95 C. In the summer, if necessary, open the radiator shutters and the engine hood.
2.3. Oil pressure in the engine lubrication system.
MAINTENANCE No. 1 (TO-1) OF THE ZIL-131 BASIC CHASSIS.
1. Check:
Completeness of the PA, inspect the car, check the condition of the cab, body and its compartments, windows, rear-view mirrors, sun visors, plumage, registration plates, door mechanisms, hood, towing device.
The operation of the windshield wiper and washers, the operation of the heating and glass heating system (in the cold season), the ventilation system, sound signal.
Mounts on the engine of equipment and instruments.
Fastening parts of the exhaust tract (downpipe, muffler, etc.).
Engine mount.

The state of the locking mechanism, the stop-limiter and the safety device of the tipping cab.
Condition and operation of locks, hinges and handles of cab and body doors.
Fastening the body (superstructure) to the chassis frame, spare wheel holder.
Mounting fenders, footboards, mudguards. Inspect the surfaces of the cabin, body (superstructure), if necessary, clean the corrosion spots and apply a protective coating.
If necessary, adjust the content of carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gases of carburetor engines.
Clean the battery from dust, dirt, traces of electrolyte, clean the ventilation holes, check the fastening and reliability of the contacts of the wire tips with the lead pins, check the electrolyte level.
The action of the sound signal, instrument panel lamps, lighting and signaling, instrumentation, headlights, sidelights, rear lights, brake light and light switch, and in the cold season, electrical equipment of the heating system.
Fastening of the generator and starter, the state of their contact connections.
Fastening the distributor-breaker, wipe the contacts of the breaker with a linen cloth.
The reliability of fastening the flexible shaft to the speedometer with a mechanical drive and to the gearbox, as well as the integrity of the flexible shaft shell (there should be no gaps in the fastening of the tips of the flexible shaft shell).
Correct sealing of the speedometer and its drive (and the fire pump hour meter, if any) in accordance with the instructions.
Tightening the bolts and nuts of the pipes of the intake and exhaust system, the bolts of the exhaust manifolds.
Adjust the stroke of the brake chamber rods.
2. Lubrication and filling work.
Check:
Inspection of the tightness of the lubrication system, power supply and cooling of the engine (including the starting heater).
Oil level in the engine crankcase.
Check by inspection the condition of the devices of the power supply system, their fastening and tightness of the connections.
Fluid level in the steering reservoir and in the engine cooling system.
Fuel level in the fuel tank, water level in the windshield washer reservoirs (top up if necessary).
The tightness of the power steering system.
Lubricate the friction units and check the oil level in the crankcases of the units and reservoirs of hydraulic lines in accordance with the chemotological map (lubrication map).
Clean the transmission and axle breathers.
Drain the condensate from the air cylinders of the pneumatic brake actuator.
3. Additional work.
Check:
3.1.1. And, if necessary, tighten the fastenings of the front support post, bolted and riveted joints of the frame, rods and levers of the control drive, cases of hydraulic cylinders of supports and blocking of springs.
3.1.2. Wear and tension of the steel ropes of the mechanism for extending (shifting) the knees of the stairs, the serviceability of the blocks and guide rollers.
3.1.3. The condition of the platform flooring, welds, knees, bowstrings.
3.1.4. Condition, fastening and freedom of rolling of support plates.
3.1.5. Condition and serviceability of controls and automatic devices. Check and wipe electrical contacts degreasing agent.
3.1.6. Lubricate the components and mechanisms of the ladder in accordance with the chemotological map.
3.1.7. External inspection of the condition of the fuses for contamination, damage and the exclusion of installations of home-made jumpers instead of fuses of the established sample.

MAINTENANCE AT FIRE, DURING RESCUE AND OTHER EMERGENCY WORK (EXERCISE).
Monitor the correct laying of fire pressure hoses, excluding the room and getting into acids, oils, and other harmful substances that cause their damage.
When laying hoses along the roadway, protect them with hose bridges in order to prevent collisions with vehicles. IN winter time insulate the joints of the sleeve heads with snow, if possible, install them indoors. Frozen hoses in places of kinks and joints should be warmed up hot water steam or heated gases.
Using:
