How to choose the type of washer for washing engine parts. Industrial automatic washing plants for washing units, parts, assemblies Machines for washing parts

Probably, every Russian car enthusiast has seen at least once in his life how a carburetor is washed in kerosene; and, perhaps, he himself has repeatedly done this. But fortunately times change, and technologies change ...

Today there are practically no carburetor cars left; and most people prefer to repair them not in the garage "at Uncle Vasya or Ashot's", but in a modern car service, equipped with the latest technology. After all, the more modern and more expensive car, the higher the requirements for its repair, including the elements and units used.

When repairing a car engine, a lot of time and effort is spent on cleaning it from oil residues and other operational contaminants. Unfortunately, this does not take into account the harm caused to health at all; when the mechanic inhales harmful vapors of cleaning solutions and liquids.

The most optimal way out of this situation is an automatic installation for washing parts of a closed cycle MAGIDO (made in Italy).

Washing in a car workshop can significantly speed up the process of washing components; facilitates the work of the mechanic, freeing his hands from the routine and painstaking process; and in general, makes the work of car service employees cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

In addition, any such MAGIDO part washer is made of high quality stainless steel. This allows to avoid corrosion and to operate it for a long time without any problems.

The principle of a parts washer is very similar to that of a dishwasher. The main difference is that the basket in which the components are placed rotates and the cleaning solution can be reused.

How the MAGIDO parts washer works

1. First, you need to place dirty parts or assemblies in the washing chamber. Although additional supports are installed in MAGIDO devices to prevent distortions, it is still advisable to distribute them evenly throughout the basket.

3. Inside this device there is a U-shaped frame, in which stainless steel nozzles are built. This is done to prevent the build-up of scale from clogging the nozzles. The washing solution is fed through them at a pressure of 2.3 to 4.7 bar.

The pressure depends on the model of the device; in addition, it can be increased by individual order. In a number of models, to increase productivity, two pumps are used (for example, in the MAGIDO stands L102 and L122).

The position of the nozzles is adjusted so that the washing solution, falling under pressure on parts or assemblies, rotates the basket of the device.

4. Some parts washers are equipped with a built-in geared motor that rotates the basket at a specific frequency. As a rule, these are models designed for a maximum load - from 350 kg.

In principle, a geared motor can be installed on any cleaning device and aggregates (except for the ECO series); but this option is installed directly at the factory in Italy.

5. At the end of the cycle, the timer is turned off and the device can be opened. In this case, you must be careful, because the detergent solution heats up to a temperature of 70 ° C and there is a danger of scalding from the steam. To avoid this, the MAGIDO parts washer has one additional option - the extraction of hot vapors.

At the end of the cleaning process, it is recommended to leave the clean components in the device for a few minutes with the lid open. This will allow them to dry almost completely. during the process, the devices get very hot and, as a result, dry quickly when cooled. However, moisture may remain in the recesses of the elements.

The process of washing the elements occurs in a closed cycle: the liquid from the nozzles first cleans, then flows into the tank; then, through a filter that retains large particles, it is again fed into the nozzles. Those. there is no need to change the detergent solution after each cleaning cycle.

Washer for parts and units MAGIDO and all of its models are equipped with a control function over the level of the cleaning solution. This avoids damage to the heating elements.

It must be remembered that it is not recommended to place parts in the system basket that are smaller than the basket itself. For washing small items, the kit includes a basket with a fine mesh (for all except the ECO series).

The average delivery time for this unit (if they are not in stock) is 45-60 business days. Parts washing equipment is available on request only. The delivery time for such devices is about 90 working days.

How often should the cleaning solution be changed?

This is a subjective parameter. As soon as it becomes clear that the elements are poorly washed, and an oil film remains on them; the cleaning solution must be changed. It all depends on how much dirty parts are washed in the parts washer. For example, you can wash slightly contaminated items, or you can clean parts that were on military preservation.

What liquid should I use to flush parts?

It is strictly forbidden to use any flammable materials and foaming solutions. Not supplied with the device a large number of detergent concentrate powder, which is enough for the first filling. We recommend further use of Russian analogues, for example, "Labomid".

How to choose the right cell washer?

1. First you need to determine the maximum size of the units intended for flushing. They must not exceed the basket diameter and the maximum loading height of the device.

2. In addition, you should know the maximum total weight of the basket load. Excessive loading weight can lead to damage to the entire device.

Some large industrial models can be fitted with gas or diesel heating.

What options are used on MAGIDO?

To begin with, it should be noted that all options are installed only at the manufacturing factory in Italy. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary at the stage of ordering to decide on a list of all the necessary additional options.

Oil separator. Its principle of operation is as follows: a thin metal disk slowly rotates over the surface of the cleaning solution and an oil film adheres to it. The disc then passes through two blades, which remove the oil film from it.

Basket electric drive. Rotates the basket at a specific frequency. In some units it is included as standard. Recommended for flushing heavy components.

External insulation of the device body.Protects the mechanic from accidental burns in contact with the body of the device and reduces heat transfer during the heating of the cleaning solution. Since 2013, MAGIDO has started production of models: L160, L190 and L210 with already installed housing insulation.

Vapor extraction device.A fan built into the back of the device allows vapors to escape from the device outside.

Minimum water level control and automatic water filling. This option requires a permanent connection to the water supply.

Stainless steel nozzle frame and basket.Serves to extend the life of the device.

Hour counter.Allows you to calculate the working time.

Weekly programming.Allows you to turn on the heating of the washing solution before the start of the working day and thereby save working time.

Hot drying.Forced drying of clean elements. Electric heating 3kW.

Carriage for moving the basket.Trolley for removing / installing the basket into the device. Not used for all models. Standard on units: L160, L190 and L210.

Increase in maximum load up to 1500kg.For models only: L160, L190 and L210.

Alternative use of sinks for MAGIDO parts and assemblies

Washer for washing parts can come in handy not only in car services. This device is actively used in railway depots in Germany and France. In Russia, the demand for MAGIDO products is also growing every year. These devices are used in metallurgy, jewelry and medicine. Large devices are also used in the repair of quarry equipment.

MAGIDO FIRM MANUFACTURES ANY INDUSTRIAL DEVICES for special orders. This can be a conveyor belt for washing small bolts or a line several tens of meters long for washing non-standard components. All that is needed for a special order is to provide technical task to the factory for Italian engineers to complete the project and calculate the cost and production time.

Today, an unusual article, despite its title, is directly related to cars, or rather to details. The thing is that now they use a lot, but before they are processed in production, they need to be removed and, most importantly, they should be washed well (given a presentation)! But this does not always work out with your own hands, so special washing machines were created! Yes - yes, you heard right the "big" machines that wash these parts. I think this informative article will be useful to everyone ...

I was prompted to write this by a self-made washing machine at the service station, or rather on parsing. The people who buy broken cars take off more normal parts and gives them a marketable appearance by washing off a layer of dirt and oil from them. It can be like gearboxes, engines, internal engine parts (pistons, shafts, valves, etc.), and discs can also be washed.

Why do you need such a car, because there isKarcher?

YES, this is true, you can remove the part and just wash it under the Karcher! BUT, as practice shows, complex components such as an engine block or a transmission case cannot be washed! Indeed, for several years of use, dirt is very firmly eaten into the metal. YES and spray will fly in all directions.

I saw it myself when the engine block was washed with a karcher - nothing happened, and when it was placed in such a washing machine - it came out just like new, if you don't take into account chips.

What else I would like to note is that these washing units can wash off the coke that has formed on the pistons, rings, head and the block itself. It washes off in just a couple of hours, and returns the details to their original position.

The thing is that such a washing machine for parts works according to a slightly different technology.

The principle of construction and operation

Well, let's take a look at these "sinks", how they are arranged and how they work.

Device

Quite simple - usually it is a large tank (or two tanks), inside there is a special basket, which is, as it were, 2/4 on top - it hangs! It is in it that the part is put (if you exaggerate - it looks like a mesh in a deep fryer). A sturdy basket is usually made of 6 - 8 mm bar.

Above is a massive cover that covers this structure, it turns out to be airtight. That is, the part seems to hang over the main vat on the grid, and it is closed with a lid.

Above the lid (or in it) also on the sides, there are washing nozzles that spray special formulations under pressure. The part in the mesh can rotate.

Electric heating elements are installed in the vat at the bottom, which heat the composition.

How does it work

The compositions that are washed can vary, usually these are special powders that are based on alkalis or even acids, but they are weakly concentrated, about 3 - 5%. They are heated from 60 degrees and above and a special pump under pressure pumps them onto the part (through washing nozzles). Dirt is washed off from it, as well as large deposits that settle in the vat. After that, the pump, the solution that fell down, starts to suck in again, if it is necessary to heat it up, and again sends it to the part. And so in a circle. All dense - coarse sediment remains at the bottom.

After such washing, in the most difficult cases it can take 1 - 2 hours, the part starts to look like new.

Now a small video with an example

Can you do it yourself?

To be honest, many service stations have had such devices for a long time. Usually this is a metal barrel (200 liters) into which the net is also brewed. A sealed cover is made on top, heating elements are installed on the bottom. The nozzles are made from a pipe, the nipples are simply welded (it is possible from conventional cameras). A high pressure water pump is connected to them. In fact, the washing machine is ready.

There are those who are generally primitive.

Compositions are usually made from caustic soda, or regular laundry detergent. Some people just pour diesel fuel (but as I think it is not always safe).

Guys myself, I was amazed after such an installation washes the parts, they really look like new.

Here is such an easy article, read our AUTOBLOG.

Today, in the machine-building and metal-working industries, where technology requires the washing of parts and assemblies, more and more new and sophisticated washing machines are used, which can increase quality and productivity, reduce energy costs and negatively affect the environment.

One of the striking examples of manufacturers of such washing equipment is the Italian company TEKNOX. For over 40 years, this company has been producing a wide range of jet washers for washing parts and assemblies - from small-sized washers to complex conveyor systems of the continuous type of multi-stage processing. The uniqueness of TEKNOX washing machines is that the parts are washed in a closed continuous cycle. The washing process is carried out with hot water pressure washing solution. The solution, in the tank of the washing machine, is heated (up to 80 ° C) by electric heating elements and a hydrodynamic pump, through the filtration system, supplied under pressure (up to 10 bar) through a multitude of nozzles to moving parts in the form of jets, after which it comes back with washed off impurities tank. On contaminated parts in washing machines there are three types of impact: mechanical and physicochemical. Mechanical impact means the impact of many jets of high pressure solution, and physicochemical impact means their temperature and reactivity.
Jet-type machines allow not only washing and degreasing parts from contamination with a cleaning solution, but also imparting certain properties (adhesion, anti-corrosion) to their surfaces using appropriate special solutions. To this end, leading manufacturers of the chemical industry offer a wide range of effective and safe concentrates for various materials and contaminants. All washing machines are designed in such a way that the washing of parts and assemblies is automatic. The operator only needs to set the program settings and start the machine. In the control unit of the machine, such parameters as the duration of washing, blowing, removing vapors, drying, the temperature of the solution heating, as well as automatic daily heating of the solution before the start of the work shift are programmed. The washing machines are manufactured from non-magnetic stainless steel AISI 304 and are designed with a safety margin for guaranteed operation in difficult conditions... All machines comply with EU safety regulations.

Applications

The fields of application of washing machines are very diverse. This can be washing and degreasing, finishing parts, assemblies, units before assembly or painting, processing after casting or machining. The machines are also used for degreasing, anti-corrosion treatment, pickling, phosphating, paint removal, etc. The manufacturer divides the use of washing machines into two categories: in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment (washing parts that have been removed from machines, tools, motors and mechanisms, etc.) and in production (washing new parts after mechanical: turning, drilling, milling, grinding, etc.).

Maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment

Parts removed from machines for repair are mostly covered with various dirt: sand, oil and grease, rubber from gaskets, sealant residues and various putties. Washing of parts with such contamination is best carried out in washers, if possible, with a high-pressure pump and heating the solution above 60 ° C, but without additional filter systems, since such a large amount of dirt can easily clog any fine filtration system.
Previously, petroleum-based solvents and derivatives were used for this, which dissolved fats, and then the residual contamination was washed off the part with a washing gun. Mostly submersible equipment was used, where parts were immersed in a reservoir with a solvent, then they were rinsed with water and wiped by hand. After several washes, the liquid in the reservoir became dirty, and residues of oil and dirt settled on the washed parts. And since toxic solvents were used and there were no adequate exhaust systems, the workrooms were saturated with harmful fumes. To imagine the damage this caused to the health of personnel, we will provide some information on the toxicity of solvents.
Chlorine solvents are carcinogenic, and in the presence of an open fire (lighted cigarettes, burners) they decompose and turn into a nerve-paralytic, lethal gas. Aromatic solvents - petroleum derivatives - are flammable, carcinogenic, toxic to the respiratory tract. Other solvents also cause irreparable harm to health. In Europe, the use of solvents is currently prohibited. They are used only in closed circuit degreasing equipment. In the coming years, bans will be introduced on the production of any type of chlorine solvents, as well as other solvents that affect the formation of the ozone hole and are dangerous when indoors. In some areas, such as space, military, etc., hazardous solvents are still used, guided by regulatory documents approved many years ago. In the meantime, washing with solvents can not only be replaced with washing with water-based solutions, but can also be optimized using jet equipment with two or three stages of washing and rinsing and a filtration system.
Modern washing systems with a rotating basket (platform) and an effective alkaline detergent, non-toxic and not harmful to the environment, allow you to achieve excellent results washing parts that are processed as part of a maintenance or repair operation.

Features of choosing the type of washing machine in the field of maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment

The model of the washing machine should be selected taking into account maximum sizes parts to be washed. As practice shows, the most popular are following models washing machines:

  • UNIX 60-80 - for flushing small parts during repairs and maintenance automotive equipment (this installation is not suitable for washing engines and gearboxes in general);
  • UNIX 100-120 - for washing parts of cars and small vans (car engines with a maximum of 6 cylinders);
  • ROBUR 1400 - for washing any parts of engines and transmissions of cargo-passenger vehicles;
  • ROBUR 1800 - used for washing the largest engines, engines of military vehicles, machines for the mining industry, etc.

Models of washing machines with two baths are usually used for more thorough rinsing, the results of which are more stringent. For example, for washing parts of aircraft, helicopters, when grinding engines, when rinsing not only achieves a more aesthetic appearance processed parts, but also removes from their surface those contaminants that could have formed after previous rinsing operations.

Manufacture of machinery and equipment

In the industrial production of machinery and equipment, great attention is paid to the cleanliness of new parts before assembly or packaging. Since the quality of product operation largely depends on the washing results, very different requirements are imposed on washing machines than in the field of maintenance and repair. Here you have to deal with the most difficult problems to solve and with a huge variety of types of machines. In addition, in the industrial sector, such an extremely important requirement as quality is put forward.

The fact is that in this sector now it is required not only to degrease the parts, but also to wash off various solid particles remaining after mechanical processing (chips, abrasive materials, etc.) from them. Moreover, these particles have to be removed both from the outer walls and from blind holes, threaded holes, from all kinds of passages, water and oil distribution channels, the presence of which is distinguished by many mechanical parts. Suffice it, for example, to look at engines and other automotive components, which have many blind holes and pipelines for water cooling or lubrication systems. Based on these few examples, it is not difficult to understand that now immersion washing is not enough, even if it is used in combination with ultrasonic treatment or basket movement, since solid residues from the treatment will still be present in the washing bath in suspension, which will inevitably settle again on an already washed part.

Washers with a rotating basket allow achieving the required rinsing quality. The immersion principle is excluded here, and the chips do not settle on the washed parts. In addition, this equipment is equipped with a bag filter, which is used when small metal particles cannot be captured by a conventional mesh filter.
Simple parts (sheet or stamped) do not pose any problem for successful rinsing, since it is only a matter of degreasing the surface. The only thing is to arrange the parts in such a way as to avoid the "glass effect", that is, they should be installed so that the liquid after rinsing does not stagnate inside the part, but flows freely. In addition, to avoid areas of blackout, the parts must not block each other from the water jets. The selection of a washer for complex parts such as cast iron and aluminum alloys, parts with holes, and machined parts must be more careful.

Features of the choice of the type of washing machine in the production of machinery and equipment

For many simple parts of a simple shape with a small number of through holes, as well as for small batches of various parts, standard washers with a rotating basket (platform) are used.
For more complex parts, in some cases, you can use modified models of washing machines that are adapted to perform washing in options involving positioning or calibration.

Special configuration washing circuits

And only in those cases when particularly high and stringent requirements are imposed on the quality of washing of parts and assemblies, It is NECESSARY to use the above named special washers that provide calibration and positioning. In this case, machines must be specially designed taking into account both the type of parts (their features, structure and configuration) and the type of technological cycle (the number of phases, baths, pressure, filtration method, etc.). For such specific cases, during serial production of identical or similar parts, you can focus on equipment of the type:

  • ROBOJET - for washing large parts and parts with a large number of blind holes (gearboxes, differentials, gear cases, components hydraulic systems etc.).

  • ROBOCLEAN small washer for a small area for washing critical small parts.

Washing machine for parts and assemblies, units, washing complex units.

  • ROUNDJET - for washing small parts (installation with a single loading and unloading area).

  • TUNNEL for cleaning small and medium-sized parts, parts manufactured in series, with a large number of blind holes and threaded holes (components car enginesmade of aluminum, pump parts, etc.).

  • ROTOR - for washing delicate small and small parts made of aluminum, brass, bronze, steel with external thread or threaded holes.

  • LINEARJET - for washing long products (axles, cardan and crankshafts, bed, etc.) of various weight characteristics.

There are models of washing machines with two or more baths (tanks). The need for these machines arises in the following cases:
- It is required to wash parts made of aluminum or alloys of copper, brass, bronze, etc., and it is necessary that the parts come out shiny, without stains. In this case, after washing, rinsing with demineralized water is necessary;
- when parts are made of cast iron or steel and it is required to provide protection against corrosion for at least 30-60 days. For this, a suitable agent is added to the second rinse tank to prevent or retard oxidation (corrosion). Protective equipment are different types: oil based, providing protection for 30-60 days, and dry protective equipmentprotecting for a maximum of 30 days.

Recently, detergents have appeared on the market that simultaneously degrease the surface of parts and provide protection against corrosion, that is, the washing cycle is shortened and is reduced to processing in only one bath. This makes it possible to simplify the device washing plant and reduce the cost of machining parts.

There are models of washing machines that provide the phosphating process. Technological processes of phosphating can be carried out in different ways, but in our installations only jet methods of processing parts are used, not submersible. Metal surfaces are phosphated before painting to ensure good and longer adhesion of the paint to the surface. The washing machines under consideration use the principle of spraying acid-based phosphating substances mixed with water. The practice of their use turns out to be much more economical in comparison with the use of solvents, moreover, they are much less dangerous, and at the same time they are able to provide quite equivalent results. The only problem that has to be reckoned with in this case is that there must be more than one, two or three baths (and even more), and the chemical composition of each of them must be monitored almost daily.
The result is a better grip paintwork... One more advantage of the proposed technological processes should be noted: it is possible to reduce to zero toxicological problems in the working room.

You can endlessly talk about the advantages of TEKNOX washers. But, perhaps, the best confirmation of their quality is the names of consumers - for several decades the company's products have been supplied to world-famous engineering enterprises such as BREMBO, LAMBORDINI, Same Deutz Fahr Group Italia Spa, Same Deutz Fahr Group Italia Spa, Bonfiglioli Riduttori Spa , Ilva Spa, Oto Melara Spa, Rietschle Thomas Italia Spa
