But before using such oils for your car, you should initially figure out whether these products will really help save money and save your car. The use of these products becomes possible subject to the following conditions:

  • Your car manufacturer has certified an oil with Longlife Technology for use.
  • The conditions in which the engine oil is used do not conflict with the conditions for using lubricants with Longlife technology.

Can I use a long lasting lubricant?

Often this information cannot be gleaned from the car's manual. You will need to analyze the following parameters:

  • For which region the car brand was developed;
  • For which consumer segment it was designed.

It is only natural that a vehicle designed for driving on European roads cannot effectively meet Longlife lubricant lifetimes in domestic operating conditions.

In addition, there are other factors that affect the timing of the replacement of lubricating fluids. So, for example, this parameter directly depends on the temperature conditions of the seasons, operating conditions and materials that are used in the work. Vehicles operating in difficult conditions require more frequent oil changes. These conditions should include:

  1. If the vehicle is operated intermittently. Since, due to irregular use of the car, the life of the engine is significantly reduced and the cost of replacing the lubricant and maintenance increases. This is due to the accumulation of condensation in the engine, which subsequently forms acid when mixed with diesel fuel.
  2. If short distance trips occur frequently. These modes prevent the engine from reaching normal operating temperature, and condensation remains in the engine.
  3. Driving in traffic jams is a serious test for any engine. Here the engine has to experience maximum overload. And the lubricating fluid heats up to extreme temperature marks, which accelerates the oxidation processes.
  4. Transportation of heavy loads. Causes additional stress on the engine, while the lubricant becomes thicker and faster oxidizes.
  5. Work in conditions of polluted atmospheric air. All vehicles designed for use in Europe are designed to operate with a minimum dust content compared to domestic roads. Consequently, the recommendations of the instructions regulating the change of lubricant every 60 thousand km are completely inapplicable for our roads.
  6. Low quality diesel fuel. The combustion products of the fuel will settle in the lubricant. And the quality of fuel materials at domestic gas stations still leaves much to be desired.
  7. Engine idling. In such operating modes, the motor overheats significantly along with the lubricant. What causes its early oxidation and the need for premature replacement.
  8. Using express lubricant change. With this procedure, a significant part of the used lubricant remains in the motor. And the sediment from the oil pan is not vacuum removed. Thus, the new grease immediately loses the lion's share of the positive parameters.

If one of these points, or even several of them, relate to your car, you can immediately reduce the factory time for replacing the lubricant by half. You also need to always take into account the condition of the engine itself: mileage and age. Changing the lubricant cleans the old engine of debris by removing carbon deposits and other debris.

On average, for a diesel engine, the lubricating fluid change interval is 8 - 12 thousand km. But if this interval has not been passed within a year, then you will still have to replace the grease. With regard to the domestic climatic conditions of the middle lane, it is better to use the following replacement periods: change the lubricant between two TO. Use only those lubricants recommended by the manufacturer. Remember, the best engine will perform best on regular long journeys without undue stress on the asphalt surface.

If at least one of the conditions for ideal engine operation is not met, you can safely change the timing of replacing the lubricant.
