Peugeot boxer passenger specifications. General description of the Peugeot boxer and technical characteristics of the model

Peugeot Boxer vans first appeared on the automotive market in 1996, after which they successfully spread throughout Europe. The Peugeot Boxer model was distinguished by simple operation, as well as uncomplicated design, and became popular in the field of small cargo and passenger transportation. In 2006, the II generation came out, and technical boxer characteristics have improved markedly. First of all, it is worth noting the diesel engine, which became more powerful and was produced in a volume of 2.2 liters. In the Peugeot Boxer, the technical characteristics were also different in that all cars received mechanical box gear.

The 2006 Peugeot Boxer boasts an improved HDi engine type. However, these are not all the characteristics of the Peugeot Boxer, which have changed in the new generation. With the new engine size, the 2nd generation Boxer can develop up to 120 horse powermaking him one of the leaders in his own class. The 2007 Peugeot Boxer could also boast that it was produced with a gasoline engine, and this significantly influenced its popularization among cars of this class on the market. The new Peugeot Boxer is produced with an improved metal body, equipped with rear hinged doors, in a certain modification, a side sliding door is also available. After restyling, the 2nd generation Boxer acquired an updated radiator grille; the headlights, hood, bumpers and front fenders were also changed. The 2008 Peugeot Boxer was already more recognizable thanks to the protective cover made of plastic. She walked along the entire side of the car, located at the level of the wheels. Obviously, after the restyling of the Peugeot Boxer, the technical characteristics received minor changes in contrast to the significantly modified design.

Peugeot Boxer 2008 was brought to perfection, having carefully worked out every small detail, equipping a sufficiently powerful car with economical power units. The issue of safety was also not left without attention - the new Boxer was equipped to the maximum with a full set of security systems. It is worth noting that the 2010 Peugeot Boxer design has been completely refined, becoming a revolutionary in its class. Thanks to the increased comfort of the cabin, Boxer 2010 can be used not only for freight traffic, but also for passenger and cargo-passenger. Therefore, in many countries, Peugeot Boxer vans are used as ambulances. medical care and route taxis.

After the release of the Peugeot Boxer 2011, the modifications of this van had about 50 variants. Among them were three wheelbases, as well as three bodies with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons. The maximum body volume was 12 cubic meters. At the same time, the seats in the Peugeot Boxer vans could be removed in order to provide more space for transporting goods. The 2011 Boxer was also able to effectively combine a high level of comfort and versatility by being equipped with all the necessary standard equipment. Night driving is made safer thanks to the twin headlights with sleek and bright diffusers introduced in this model.

The Peugeot Boxer 2012 did not lag behind its predecessors. Released more recently, it features enhanced cabin comfort with conveniently adjustable seats and power windows. In general, car control has become more centralized and improved. Boxer 2012 received ergonomic handles that allowed one hand to open the doors - now even if you had a load in your hands, opening the door was not a problem.

In the manufacture of the Peugeot Boxer, high-strength steel was used, which added to the car additional durability and strength. Now the likely impacts and collisions on the road were not scary. And the increased rigidity of the chassis has increased the ability to prevent possible road accidents. Thanks to updated design Peugeot Boxer II generation now did not accumulate dirt on the body in hard-to-reach places, so the problem of corrosion was also solved. And galvanized steel, which is abundant in the metal used to make a car, contributes to its strength and durability.

Peugeot Boxer, 2017, 84 thousand km mileage, cargo van. A working van, the maximum that loaded 1200 kg - pulls well, the suspension holds, but the rubber bands are killed quickly. The engine is not bad, it pulls from the bottom, it is finicky to fuel, the injectors are quickly killed by a crappy diesel engine, the originals are not cheap at all. The consumption of the first 50 thousand was 9-11 liters per hundred square meters, now it happens that it reaches 14, it is immediately clear that the resource of the engine is suitable, it began to knock straight and does not work very stably at idle. On the chassis, only complaints about the suspension are quickly killed, this is understandable because my standard load - 900 kg sags in different ways on rear axle, specially mark for myself. His big jamb is a control unit - it is so located that after every rain / snow it floods, how many times he has not closed it, it still turns out to be wet inside, the first times he did not know about it and stupidly could not start in the morning after the rain, many have these blocks stupidly burn. The body for 3.5 metal is not thin, but in the place of the chip it turns red straight quickly, you need to watch, the bottom is also better to wash more often, since all metal salts are eaten quickly.

Since 2015, for a Peugeot boxer, mileage 204 thousand km, cargo center, carrying capacity 1200 kg, a new one was purchased for work. The salon is comfortable, everything is there for the driver, it is comfortable to sit, it drives acceptable, it stays in the flow, there is always enough motor pickup, the flow rate above 18 liters never rose. I did a lot of extra things on the car, there were a lot of repairs, there are some sores, the van is not perfect, it sometimes brings problems. It was such that after a heavy rain in the morning I could not start the car, there is voltage on the battery, the fuses are intact, and there was no reaction from the car, the control unit flooded, as it turned out later, which I had a month later and burned out, the new unit and setting cost 40 thousand. Since this is a diesel engine, there are often problems with the fuel, it is better to flush it at each MOT, as it clogs it and the engine chokes, possibly jamming. For this very reason, for about 120 thousand mileage, I had to make a motor capital, complete replacement hinged, high-pressure pump and partly for fuel, if not for the diesel, then perhaps the engine would have lived longer. The paintwork is weak, I don’t catch stones with a neat route, but the body is sandblasted strongly, the entire hood is matt, the arches and bottoms of the doors suffer, rust has gone to them even after the first winter. For a Peugeot C grade, given that I took out a loan and has not paid it yet, but I'm already investing in it.

In principle, the car is more or less normal, but there are problems for which I would not buy it a second time. In the cabin, there is not a convenient shelf above your head against which you constantly bang your head, for me the location of the handbrake on the left side is not convenient, there is little space under the hood, which makes repairs difficult, the filler neck of the washer you don’t understand at all where you need to have magic to fill the liquid there, I bought the car on the secondary and the year does not seem to be a big one, but in the cabin everything is already worn out, apparently too shabby best quality materials.

I bought a boxer a year ago. 2016 onwards Mileage was 180 thousand. The first impression was good, the machine rides briskly, responsive in management. Problems began after 20 thousand, I found an oil leak, antifreeze also left, a check caught fire. I will say right away with the search for a normal service, where boxers are well known, in the province there is a lot. In addition to the maintenance of oil and filter changes, the inlet gaskets were changed where the leak was, antifreeze leaked from under the O-ring, the rings are not sold separately, I had to take it with a pump. We went through hodovku - pads, silent, ball. For 2 TO I replaced the mass air flow sensor and the chip, cleaned the nozzles, changed the rear discs, parking brake pads, tips, camber. Plus, there were still costs on little things. As a result, for a year with a penny I have already invested a hundred and I feel not the end. I will not say that I took the killed car, it was normal, when I took it I called the diagnostician, the mileage was real. In service, the boxer is very expensive for me. For now, I'll see how it will go on, but the repair costs do not suit me.

The exterior of cars is constantly taken into account by buyers, therefore the tested models are subjected to annual restyling. In a new guise, the Peugeot Boxer van appeared before the public in 2014. Today we will talk about the release of the next generation Peugeot Boxer 2019 2020.

The world of commercial vehicles lives by its own laws. Here the life of successful models is longer. Why release a new generation, develop new body, change the image, if not because of the appearance these cars get? This tuning is useless.

Here, practicality, the volume of the "trunk" (in the sense of the cargo compartment), endurance, fuel consumption, reliability and other factors are at the forefront. Appearance is not in the first place here.

New touches

Peugeot Boxer sales began in 2006, and the exterior faded over time. Designers have tried to modernize and refine appearance... The new Peugeot Boxer received different headlights with stylish lED lights, a retouched radiator grille, and a modified bumper. The touches did not change the appearance, but they were able to modernize the look of the Peugeot Boxer. In addition, the Peugeot boxer was previously produced in the Combi version with side and rear window... Now only the Fourgon version with blank panels is available. There is also a variation of Chasis with a bare chassis, but it is not popular in our open spaces.

The interior has changed slightly. All doors, including the rear ones, received reinforced hinges, several additional compartments for small things appeared in the cabin, the dashboard changed the style and became more informative. The steering wheel, as well as the gear lever, can now be sheathed in leather. Perhaps the most noticeable change to the interior is the fact that you can now buy a Peugeot Boxer in the Professional configuration, where a touchscreen display with navigation will be placed on the center console.

Also find out and.

In terms of comfort peugeot model has grown up, but the ergonomics are still not perfect. Free view is hampered by the lower thickening of the front pillars, the luggage compartments in the door panels are lower than we would like, the handbrake is in a suboptimal place (to the left of the driver, closer to the floor), and the steering wheel adjustment only by the departure and the absence of presettings for the angle of inclination complicates the task upon reaching a comfortable position. Largely due to the fact that for this price the designers of Peugeot Boxer tried to provide maximum volumes luggage compartment... Therefore, the seats are moved as far forward as possible. This means that you have to take a vertical cargo landing.

In terms of equipment, the Peugeot Boxer is well rehabilitated. There is a rear-view camera (optional), assistance when descending from the mountain / starting when going up, parking sensors, rain / light sensors, cruise control, a tire pressure monitoring system, AUX and USB slots. It is noteworthy that the standard equipment of the Boxer Peugeot 2019 (pictured) includes an ESP system, a frontal airbag, and power windows. The rest will have to be ordered.

The functionality of the Peugeot Boxer has grown. Now there are two steps in the front bumper, standing on which it will be possible to easily clean the windshield from dirt, and the size of the cargo compartment is amazing. Depending on the wheelbase and height, the volume of the compartment can vary from 8 to 17 cubic meters. m.

Getting under way

Under the hood, the Peugeot Boxer is an old familiar 2.2-liter diesel engine, with good technical characteristics. It is offered in two boost options - 130 and 150 hp. There is also a 3-liter diesel engine with 180 hp, but the reality is that this modification is not offered for sale. There is also one gearbox. Only 6-speed mechanics, automatic for the Peugeot Boxer model is not provided.

Specifications Peugeot Boxer

Peugeot Boxer 2198 cc cm 130 hp / 3500 rpm 320 n / m / 2000 rpm Mechanics 6-speed 15.2 sec. 6.3 / 9.2 / 7.4 l 155 km / h

The Peugeot Boxer suspension is well received. As a result of the fact that the model received a strong subframe, reinforced shock absorbers, it became more manageable (see the test drive video). We worked on soundproofing - if the old diesel engine hummed monotonously, and it was noticeable, now a minimum of sounds reaches the pilot.

Not without complaints. Steering Peugeot Boxer is empty. At speeds over 100 km / h, the steering wheel would benefit from more information content. Although the car is not built to drive at speeds over 100, it has a different element.

The ground clearance of the van is quite good, yet I don't want to use it to the fullest. Because the Peugeot Boxer shakes well when an unloaded car finds bumps on the road. However, this is a fixable problem.

For about 3000 euros, you can buy a Peugeot Ioxer with a spring suspension in the driver's seat, which will absorb potholes. But this is a double-edged sword. In our open spaces, where there are no roads, comfort can go sideways. The driver will ignore road bumps, bringing closer the demise of levers, shock absorbers, and the chassis in general.

The engine pulls smoothly from the bottom, and gear ratios the boxes are optimally matched. “This is enough for the Peugeot Boxer, even in a laden state, not to fall out of the stream and to feel at home. Fuel consumption per 100 km is quite adequate and amounts to about 10-11 l / 100 km (again - with a full load of 2.2 tons).

External impressions

Valery, 42 years old:

“I took a Peugeot Boxer at the beginning of 2019. Body color - silver, equipment - professional: with tow bar, multimedia and other accessories. During the year, I managed to roll almost 60 thousand. The overall impression is positive.

There have never been any problems with the car. I had to go to long trips in other cities - he also showed himself from the normal side. On the highway, he surely drowns, takes about 8-9 liters on the highway. The tank volume of 90 liters can actually be enough for a thousand km - it's checked. The Webasto heater + additional stove helps out perfectly. Before the boxter there was a 1996 VW T4 caravel, gasoline, I tried diesel for the first time, I don't want more gasoline cars.

If we talk about the shortcomings of the Peugeot Boxer, then the quality of the painting suffers - in some places the varnish began to fly off, and the quality of the interior trim would also be better. Of the troubles that happened - a bent disk (thanks to the roads), and the side glass broken by a flying stone (thanks again). The Peugeot Boxer did not cause any more problems. Given how much it costs, I believe it will beat the cost over the next year. A normal commercial vehicle. "

A little afterword

Where can you buy a car? It is logical that authorized dealer... He can offer cars with different equipment options, as well as provide a warranty for vans. According to latest news, the price in Russia for a 2019 Peugeot boxer starts at 1 million 770 thousand rubles. This is the basic configuration with a 130 horsepower engine. If you order additional options, such as a rear view camera or navigation system, then the cost of the van can go over the mark of 2 million rubles.

However, there are certain ways to save money. You can wait for the new year, when the start of sales of the 2019 models is announced. Then the cost of last year's Peugeot Boxers in Russia will decrease. Well, if the amount seems too high, then you can pay attention to the used car market. So, a used Peugeot Boxer car can be taken for an amount of 7, -th thousand. A car 2-3 years old with low mileage can be purchased for 15-16 thousand cu.

Peugeot Boxer competitors include Citroen Jumper, FIAT Ducato, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter / Vito, Renault Master, and VW Transporter. The Boxer is going to win this fight for the Peugeot buyer by:

Peugeot Boxer advantages:

  • huge luggage compartment;
  • good torquey and economical diesel;
  • spacious salon.

Disadvantages of Peugeot Boxer:

  • not the best ergonomics;

Model history and purpose

The production of models of the Peugeot Boxer family began in 1994 at the Italian SEVEL plant. The features of the first generation of the model include a base on the frame, a front transverse arrangement of the engine, an independent lever-spring front suspension. All versions of the debut Peugeot Boxer were equipped exclusively with a 5-speed "mechanics". The model was created by a joint team of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Fiat specialists. The result of their activities was 3 cars that differ little in design and construction: Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato and Peugeot Boxer.

The Peugeot Boxer I was offered in 4 main modifications: chassis, minibus, van and light truck. Ruler power units made up a 2-liter gasoline engine (110 hp) and 5 diesels of 1.9-2.8-liter volume (68-128 hp). The wheelbase of the first generation ranged from 2850-3700 mm, length - 4749-5599 mm.

In 2002, the French carried out a serious facelift of the model. He touched the grille and both bumpers. The interior of the Peugeot Boxer has also changed significantly. Also, plastic moldings for the body and enlarged headlights with shades without a pattern were installed on the car. The rear of the facelifted version featured a rounded bumper, a new nameplate and lights with ventilation holes. In the engine range, 2.3- and 2.8-liter units were replaced by 1.9-liter diesel engines. However, most of the elements remained the same (doors, external panels).

After another 4 years, the premiere of the second generation of the model took place. This option is still relevant today. The second Peugeot Boxer was the result of the work of French and Italian specialists who tried to significantly improve all the details of the product and bring novelty to constructive decisionsthat remained unchanged for many years. The interior design, safety systems, design and engine range were redesigned. The number of available modifications has also increased (about 50).

The exterior of the new Peugeot Boxer was handled by Italian designers from the Fiat Centro Style division. They decided to move away from the cubic car design prevalent at that time. As a result, a massive bumper with a U-shaped grille was developed. Above his "lip" was a miniature bonnet, and the headlights were complexly shaped. Due to the low glazing line and huge windshield excellent visibility was provided. On the side, vertical mirrors and volumetric wheel arches stood out. In addition to the hinged doors in the front, the passenger versions had a sliding door on the right side. The model's cockpit was made 3-seater. In addition to the standard dials (tachometer, speedometer, temperature sensor), the panel now has on-board computer... It itself was made of soft plastic. A lot of storage places and accessories appeared at the workplace: a glove box, a pull-out table, a niche for papers, a cup holder.

In 2014, the Peugeot Boxer was updated again. The technical characteristics of the model remained the same, and the changes affected exclusively the appearance.

Peugeot Boxer II is offered in several versions, which determine the model's capabilities:

  1. The all-metal van (Peugeot Boxer Ft) is used to transport various goods and as a service vehicle, furniture van, special car (Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ambulance, EMERCOM), an isothermal van and a mobile radio or television studio.
  2. The cargo-passenger variation (Peugeot Boxer Combi) is used to transport passengers and deliver goods. The car is equipped with 9 passenger seats in the cabin with various options for their location. The seats are different high quality finishes (hard or soft). Quick-release fasteners have been specially developed for this design.
  3. The minibus (Peugeot Boxer Tour Transformer) is a model with a variable interior configuration that guarantees an optimal level of comfort. Inside the car are foldable sofas that can be deployed, folded and stowed away, transforming the interior of the car into a camper, van, combi or mobile office.
  4. The chassis with a cab (Peugeot Boxer Chassis Cab) is the most versatile version of the car, providing the ability to install various superstructures on the frame and perform a wide variety of work. Due to the modularity of the design and the same distance between the mounting holes, conversion is carried out with a minimum of time and effort. The most popular versions of cars based on the Peugeot Boxer chassis are: an isothermal van, an onboard platform, a refrigerator, a dump truck, a crane-manipulator, an awning, a manufactured goods van, a tank and a furniture van.

Peugeot Boxer is currently considered one of the leaders in its segment. An unpretentious, economical and powerful car will be an excellent assistant in business and in the family. Domestic customers are offered models assembled from imported kits at a plant in the village of Rosva (Kaluga region).

Device and repair

The body of the Peugeot Boxer is almost entirely made of steel sheets with a thickness of 1.8 mm. As a result, it tolerates road damage and impacts well compared to vans of the same class. The chassis with increased rigidity gives it additional strength. The design of the model is thought out to the smallest detail. The Peugeot Boxer is engineered to minimize the accumulation of dirt and dust in hard-to-reach areas. Almost 70% of the metal used in the structure is galvanized steel. Its outer surfaces are galvanized twice and then covered with 5 layers of special protective material. This technology reliably protects the car from corrosion.

IN basic configuration The model is equipped with electrically heated and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors. Moreover, each mirror has 2 glasses (one spherical), which reduces the "dead zones" for the driver. High seating position and large windows make driving very comfortable. The driver's seat has many adjustments (as opposed to the passenger).

The Peugeot Boxer's front suspension is well tuned. Coupled with power steering, it provides precise maneuvering and ease of driving. The basic equipment also includes modern ABS. Additionally, you can install ASR, an overtaking sensor, a rear view camera, ultrasonic sensors and a parking assistant.

In comparison with domestic "GAZelles", the Peugeot Boxer seems to be a car from another planet. Everything here is of a fundamentally better quality, which is confirmed by many positive reviews from the owners. At the same time, the operation of the machine must be accompanied by decent seasonal training, quality control of the fuel being refueled and timely maintenance. In comparison with competitors, the Peugeot Boxer is distinguished by a more comfortable and roomy interior with advanced equipment, a high-torque engine that allows it to accelerate quite quickly to high speed even with a loaded interior, and low fuel consumption.

However, the model has its drawbacks. They are associated with the adaptation of the Frenchman to Russian operating conditions. On domestic roads, the Peugeot Boxer does not always feel comfortable. It is also not recommended to service the car in unauthorized service centers. Problems are especially common with ball joints, electronics and steering tips. IN winter time the car takes a long time to warm up, but it remains cold in the cabin.

Price of new and used Peugeot Boxer

The latest generation of Peugeot Boxer is offered on the Russian market at a price of 1.019 million rubles. For this money you can buy basic modification L1H1 with a 2.2-liter diesel engine (130 hp) and the following equipment: airbag, EBA, ABS, central locking, spare wheel, immobilizer, steel wheels, halogen headlights, audiopreparation, seat adjustment, electric front windows, adjustable steering column, power steering and on-board computer. The most top-end version is considered the L4H3 version worth 1.209 million rubles.

Used variants of the Peugeot Boxer in Russia are offered at a price of 400,000 rubles (normal condition). Models of 2006-2008 with a mileage of about 300,000 km will cost 380,000- 480,000 rubles, cars of 2009-2011 - 550,000-900,000 rubles.

Peugeot Boxer counterparts include Ford Transit, Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato and Renault Master.

5 / 5 ( 1 voice)

The Peugeot Boxer car is a reliable, multifunctional vehicle with a large number of modifications and bodies. Versions of the Peugeot Boxer belong to category B - any driver with the appropriate driving license... Commercial vehicles are different:

  • A very roomy body - one of the largest in its segment.
  • High lifting capacity.
  • Low maintenance cost.

How the III generation Peugeot Boxer has changed, technical characteristics, pros and cons will be discussed in this article. All.

Car history

Planning development commercial vehicles, in the early 80s, the Peugeot company entered into an agreement with, for the creation of a multi-purpose, light-tonnage car. The result of the work was the Peugeot J5, released in 1981. Citroen C25, Fiat Ducato became its twins. J5 differed from competitors in exterior.

After a small facelift in 1991, the production of the model was discontinued. The sales turned out to be a failure - in France the commercial Peugeot J5 was still being sold somehow, but in Europe Fiat Ducato dominated. In 1994, the French company introduced the Peugeot Boxer - freight car with a gasoline 2-liter engine and 5 diesels.

The second generation was presented in 2006. After 2 years, it was possible to assemble it at the Peugeot, Citroen enterprise in Russia. In total, the third generation was released - the release of the third modification is scheduled for 2018-2019.

Exterior

Manufacturers always pay special attention to the exterior of the car. This is especially true for proven, demanded models that undergo restyling almost every year. In 2014, the new Peugeot Boxer was introduced. But times go by, new technologies appear, motorists are becoming more demanding.

In this regard, the management of Peugeot decided to bring the next model to the market - the Peugeot Boxer 2018-2019. The situation with commercial vehicles is somewhat different. Who is interested in tuning, new headlights or a radiator grill, when the first place for the driver has been and remains the Peugeot Boxer body, the general endurance of the car and fuel consumption? Nevertheless, minor improvements were made to the exterior.

The first "Boxers" were presented in 2006. Since that time, the appearance of the car has significantly faded. To refine the novelty, the designers have endowed it with new headlights, modern LEDs. The old radiator grill has been retouched, the bumper has changed slightly.

If earlier the vehicle was produced in the Combi modification (glass on the side and rear), then in 2018 the Peugeot Boxer 3 came out in the Fourgon (blank panels) and Chasis (bare chassis) variations. For obvious reasons, the second type is not in demand in our country. All doors were equipped with reinforced hinges, which made the operation of the car more reliable and durable.

Interior

Looking into the Peugeot Boxer salon, we note only minor changes. The first thing that catches your eye is the dashboard, which completely changed the style. Now it has become more informative. As an additional option, it became possible to cover the steering wheel and gearshift lever with leather. New compartments for small things are quite roomy.

The most notable interior update is the center console. When buying a Peugeot Boxer Professional, the motorist will have the opportunity to order an optional display with navigation. By the way, completely touch-sensitive. For a van of this level, this is almost a sensation.

Specifications

Depending on the modification, the model can have different wheelbases - from 300 to 403.5 centimeters. Body length also varies and depends on the type: van, chassis, minibus. The engine is equipped with an Hdi injection system, a manual transmission, six-speed. It is also known from the Peugeot Boxer specifications that the car will be front-wheel drive.

Power unit

Under the hood of the Peugeot Boxer is an engine that the owners of previous versions of the van have already fallen in love with. It is a 2.2 liter diesel engine with very interesting technical characteristics. Modifications with a capacity of 130, 150 horsepower will be available in Russia.

There is also a Peugeot Boxer minibus with a 3-liter engine and 180 hp, but it is almost impossible to get it in our country. It will not be officially sold. What will be the fuel consumption of the Peugeot Boxer is still unknown. It is known that the 2nd generation Peugeot boxer spent:

  • 7 liters combined.
  • Almost 11 liters in the urban cycle.
  • Only 7.5 liters in the extra-urban driving cycle.

And its maximum speed was 142 km / h. Of course, fuel consumption directly depends on the wind flow, vehicle load and some other features. In the new third generation Peugeot, the speed is 155 km / h for the 130 hp engine, 162 km / h for the 150 hp engine.

Transmission

Only one 6-speed gearbox will be available to future owners of the Peugeot Boxer 3. Of course, mechanics - automatic transmission for the Boxer Peugeot car is not provided.

Suspension

Whatever they say, the Peugeot Boxer 3 suspension deserves flattering reviews. The car was pumped with a powerful stretcher, the shock absorbers were reinforced.

Compared to the previous version, the suspension is more manageable.

Soundproofing, albeit not perfect, but still got better. If earlier the diesel engine hummed monotonously, and this was very noticeable, today a minimum of noise reaches the driver.

Lifting capacity

The Peugeot Boxer van is offered in 8 different configurations with a body volume from 8 to 17 cubic meters. m. The impressive volumes make the car one of the most spacious in its segment. Drivers who are engaged in cargo transportation can buy a car:

  • With a gross weight of 2.5 tons.
  • Weighing up to 3.5 tons and payload less than 1000 kg.
  • Weighing up to 3.5 tons and a payload of 1500 kg.
  • With reinforced suspension, increased carrying capacity. The total weight of such a car is 4 tons or more.

Overall dimensions

We have already found out that depending on the model and wheelbase, the volume of the cargo compartment varies between 8-17 cubic meters. m. Let's designate the dimensions of the Peugeot Boxer for a more accurate understanding of the situation. The clearance of the 2018-2019 model is 17.6 centimeters. The height reaches 225.4 cm, the length and width of the Peugeot Boxer are 496.3 and 205 cm, respectively.

Driving technology and aids

The 2019-2020 Peugeot Boxer is instantly rehabilitated when it comes to additional equipment. An optional rear-view camera is available to facilitate parking, hill descent assistant, start assistant. There are light and rain sensors, cruise control option, pressure control, as well as USB, AUX slots.

The standard equipment of the Peugeot Boxer (pictured) also includes eSP system, which is really not enough on many similar models, a front airbag, power windows. All other options will have to be ordered for an additional fee.

It is noteworthy that 2 steps have appeared in the front bumper of the car. It is very easy to climb on them - it is much easier to clean the glass from dirt.

Mobile office equipment

Despite the fact that the driver drives a cargo Peugeot Boxer, and not an executive sedan, the level of comfort in the cabin is beyond praise. The mobile office is represented by a comfortable driver's seat with a wide range of adjustments.

As additional options seat adjustment in the lumbar region and armrests are available. There is a folding table for storing handy peripherals - the cabin turns into a real office. Total space for location additional accessories is 73 liters.

Security

To protect the driver and passengers in a collision, the vehicle is equipped with:

  • Frontal airbags for the driver, passenger.
  • Side airbags.
  • Safety shutters on each side of the car.

The front part has a deformation zone that absorbs the lion's share of the energy released upon impact. The size front axle optimized so that some of the energy can be transferred to the body in a head-on collision.

Options and prices

If you believe the latest news, you can buy a Peugeot Boxer at a price that starts at 1 million 770 thousand rubles. For this money, you can purchase a vehicle in the very initial configuration - with a 130 horsepower engine. When ordering additional equipment like navigation or a rear-view camera, the cost has every chance of exceeding 2 million rubles.

Tuning

Given the current shortcomings and weaknesses of the van, tuning Peugeot The boxer is really a must. First, the protection of the wheel arches. Secondly, the installation of new seats - for example, with the analysis of foreign cars. The regular chairs are tight and absolutely uncomfortable. The radiator also needs to be improved - sometimes it is simply sheathed with plywood from the inside.

Noise isolation is also needed - you can't do without it. The rear doors need a seal, wheel arch liners will not interfere. The quality of light in the cabin leaves much to be desired - and here you can not do without improvements. The multimedia system is mediocre - it can be replaced too.

Comparison with competitors

The obvious competitors of the Peugeot Boxer auto are:

  • FIAT Ducato.

At the expense of a decent luggage compartmenteconomical diesel Peugeot The boxer wins the fight, but due to the far from perfect painting, rigid suspension and not the best ergonomics, he is inferior to his competitors.

Owner reviews

No matter how detailed and informative the car reviews are, the opinion of motorists remains decisive. What they say about the Peugeot Boxer, what reviews they write. Let's figure it out.

I am writing an honest review. I live in St. Petersburg. Took an average commercial used Boxer 2012. Of the shortcomings, I note a downright loud body, which rattles strongly, weak struts and springs. He is afraid of ruts and ice like fire. In rain and ice, alas, we are absolutely uncontrollable. The trouble with emergency braking is that it doesn't like this option at all, it hardly slows down. Seats for passengers - zero ergonomics, nothing. After about a year of active driving, weak points came out - the side door rail burst. Once replaced, burst wheel disks, the body began to disperse at the seams. I do not demand stars from the sky from the van, but when it crumbles on the go, comments are unnecessary. Glow plugs last a maximum of a year. Someone says thatPeugeotBoxer 3has become much better. I don’t know, I don’t know, but I would definitely not buy a 2012 van today.

Vladimir, Saint Petersburg

I bought a Spanish-assembled bus Peugeot Boxer in May 2015. Now her mileage is 195,000 km. I was looking for a working machine that would not fail or break down at the most unexpected moment. The boxer gives me such confidence. I drive 300-400 km daily, 5 times a week. Always starts up once. The front tires were enough for 95,000 kilometers, the rear should be enough for at least 150,000 kilometers. The maximum that I loaded into it was 2.5 tons. Puffed, groaned, arrived without consequences. I stop by for inspection every 15 thousand km. It paid off almost completely in 1.5 years.

Of the advantages, I note reliability and agility, good cross-country ability. Of the minuses - albeit comfortable, but still an explosive interior, a lot of noise. In cold weather, the side door does not really close, no matter how hard you try. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Andrey, Anapa

I clocked my Peugeot Boxer 2 diesel to 165. This is an airplane, not a van. And it eats no more fuel than a passenger car. Convenient loading, very spacious. At 69,000 km, the generator and steering tip had to be replaced. Now I sell it as unnecessary. A good alternative to popular brands!

Advantages and disadvantages

Pros of the car

  • The ergonomics, appearance, comfort have grown;
  • The luggage compartment is more spacious.

Cons of the car

  • The review cannot be called free - the volumetric racks interfere;
  • The storage compartments in the door panels are too low;
  • The handbrake was installed on the left for some unknown reason. It is not very convenient to use it;
  • The steering wheel is adjustable exclusively for reach. Since there are no settings for the angle of inclination, it is almost impossible to achieve the most comfortable position;
  • The driver and passengers will have to take an almost vertical position;
  • After 60 thousand run, Peugeot Boxer literally starts to pour in. The most vulnerable spots: clutch, air suspension, bearings, steering racks and generators;
  • In addition, the price for the Peugeot Boxer is far from the lowest.

Summing up

And a small afterword to conclude the review. The Peugeot Boxer has undergone minor changes and is definitely an improvement over the 2nd generation. Not without flaws - they were voiced in the paragraph above. Where is the best place to buy a Peugeot Boxer? The best option is to contact an authorized dealer.

It is he who will be able to offer models with various configuration options, and will provide an official guarantee for the van. The price of 1.77 million rubles for the new Peugeot Boxer is rather big, to put it mildly. But there is a real way to save money. It is necessary to wait for the start of sales, after which the price of last year's Peugeot Boxer van will definitely decrease.

Does the cost seem overpriced anyway? There is a way out - to pay attention to used vehicles. It is quite realistic to take a used Peugeot boxer for 7-8 thousand dollars. If the condition is practically new, and the mileage is modest enough, you can keep within $ 16,000.
