Three types of engine and two types of gearboxes correspond to 14 configuration options. Such arithmetic was offered by Toyota for its recent novelty - the next generation of Corolla.

On the one hand, the car has changed a lot in its “face”, it has become more youthful. At the same time, it has grown a lot, becoming more solid: the length of the eleventh "Corolla" has reached an impressive 4620 mm. All these innovations came together in an absolutely natural way.

"In the first lines" of this material, we will, of course, mention the 1.33 liter engine, which together with the manual transmission makes up the "Standard" package for 659,000 rubles. But more to this version of "Corolla" we will not return: 99 forces - it may be economical, but too little, and plugs instead of buttons throughout the cabin - and completely sad.

Marketers are confident that the most popular will be the 1.6-liter 122 hp engine. Moreover, you can choose a pair for it - "mechanics" or a variator. For the first combination, the Classic (699,000 rubles), Classic Plus (754,000) and Comfort (781,000) versions are available. But we will go ahead and make a bold but obvious statement: the largest number sales will fall on a pair of "1.6 liters with a variator". And not only because the popularity of the "mechanics" is clearly declining, - the "Corolla" in this version has much more configurations: six.

If the plugs are not to your liking, you will have to cut off the Classic package (743,000 rubles) and start familiarizing yourself with the Classic Plus (791,000), where instead of the frankly terrible plastic panel, an audio system finally appears. And by throwing another 28 thousand, you can get fog lights, three-spoke leather steering wheel with music control buttons, six speakers and a few more options. By the way, starting with the Comfort version, the central armrest is sliding, but I would call it a redundant option: the one in the standard version is quite comfortable.

As you can see, this is a very nice offer in terms of a set of options and a price. Especially when you consider that the next version, "Comfort Plus", is 24 thousand more expensive, and there are much fewer changes in it: the wheels will be cast and a rear-view camera with markings will be added. "Elegance" and "Prestige", of course, delight with the equipment, but perplex with the price: 875,000 and 938,000 rubles, respectively.

The 1.8 liter engine is praised by everyone. Frisky and not particularly voracious: fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 6.4 liters per hundred, which is only 0.1 liters more than that of the Corolla with a 1.6-liter engine. However, the cheapest configuration with this unit ("Comfort Plus") for 37,000 rubles more expensive version weaker. Do not be fooled by the S nameplate, which appears starting with the Elegance version on cars with a 1.8-liter engine.
